[REVIEW] t989 t-mobile dual layer hard soft case - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II SGH-T989

So I just ordered this case of Ebay and I just got it a couple of days ago and here is a small video review and fitment guide of the case.
I think it seems to fit my phone well and the buttons are so easy to push.
Let me know what you think.

Nice review. I like dual layer cases. Does it attract lint?

Looks like the Ballistic Case. On the note, doesnt all silicone case a lint magnet?

Thanks, and no this case does not attract lint. I've been using this for a few days with no lint.

Let me know how bulky that ends up being. Or if it adds a decent lip to the front of the phone. I was looking at some of the other Tridea models as well, but I want something that will keep the face of the phone off of the desk if I have it upside down.

Its one of the main reasons i got it for too

My reasoning for staying away from either of the 2 tridea bumper cases is that the back is so exposed it looks like the camera lens would touch the surface of whatever you lay it on and get scratched

Cruzer lite persona case

I just got one of the Cruzer lite persona cases for my S3 and love it. Its thin and fits great. Doesn't add hardly any bulk. While I'm sure its not as drop friendly as an otterbox, this will still fit in my pocket.
My only concern is that its a tad bit on the politically incorrect side. What do you all think???
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
Quality is pretty good. Holes are spot on. Its def thin. I'd say its more for scratch andloe drop protection. I like it because it does lift the screen when lying face down.

Is it dirty or something? Is it supposed to look like that?

Its supposed to look like that. Its got a smokey type look.

Why not try sgp thin cases? Ultra thin ait series

Seidio surface case had worked well for me for months. Slim but protective and easy access to buttons and ports.
S3 on the Now Network
I use the Elago cases. $10 from amazon. They sport both Breathable and normal thin cases. Not Alot of drop support, but they keep that slim and sleek feel to your device

Can't beat these for ultra slim cases

Metal case

Is there any metal cases for the s4? Not aluminum but real metal
Sent from my SGH-M919 using xda premium
well...
first off aluminum is a real metal, so not sure what you mean by that. what metal would you like to see? I haven't seen one that is solid metal. http://www.droid-life.com/2013/04/29/buy-this-metal-back-cover-for-your-galaxy-s4-if-youre-tired-of-the-plastic/
there is one back cover.
the other one I know of is the spigen slim armor, But it is not all metal either. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BW6GIP2
If you have great signal where you're at... awesome, but if you struggle with signal, getting a metal case isn't a good idea from my experience. You may lose a bar or two. I have had more cases than I can count, ordering them like a kid in a candy store, except this time around with the S4. Having had issues before, if you do get one, I'd be interested in how it works for you because I wouldn't mind having a metal case myself.

The spigen has no metal whatsoever. It's polycarbonate and tpu.

My mistake then, I know previous spigen cases have had metal versions in the past. with a quick amazon search I saw it and just assumed.
Hey I actually found one.. It took me a while but they do have a metal case here's the link... http://www.casefanatic.com/samsung-...kommandant-samsung-galaxy-s4-metal-case-case/

I bet that would do wonders for signal strength.

Spigen SPG cases?

So I saw this case on eBay
http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=251365474715
Does anybody have insight on it's quality?
Worth it?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using xda app-developers app
Wow. Seriously?
There are like 4 forums for this case...
Simple question. No harm done. Please find something more worthwhile to be annoyed about.
Thanks for the direction...:good:
I own this case. it's ok. the buttons are very flush and it's hard to distinguish if the phone is upside or not. and there is space on the headphone jack and USB cut out letting a lot of crap come in which sucks with a clear case. buy the slim armor it's a lot better I have the white one and love it

I have the ultra hybrid and the gaps at the bottom especially pissed me off letting in all that dust/dirt... Are the openings on the slim armor any better?

Thanks. That was something I was concerned with. The protective film on the inside, is it noticeable if you don't take it off?
