Voodoo? - Samsung Galaxy Nexus

Sorry ahead of time if this has been answered but I've googled and used the search on xda but no luck.
I was wondering super curio has worked on the GN to use voodoo sound and color? Is it possible we can use the voodoo app to mess with the colors?
Sorry again, thank you
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using xda premium

Voodoo Sound won't work, because the GN uses a different audio DAC, a Burr-Brown part, instead of the original Wolfson WM8994 DAC in the original Galaxy S series and Nexus S devices. Whether or not supercurio will create a GN variant of Voodoo Sound is unknown.
As for color correction, there are several GN kernels that offer color adjustments. I know franco.Kernel does, and some others might also. Personally, I have no problems at all with the GN's display. The white temperature is nowhere near as blue as the older SAMOLED displays on earlier Samsung devices.

Thank you for the reply

I thought mean your Galaxy Nexus is possessed and acting weird on its own. I was going to come in and help you "cure" that.....

LMAO nah

Supercurio is actually working on porting voodoo to the Gnex or so I've been told.

Might wanna check with supercurio before you say his work isn't compatible with a device which he even said he is doing work on.

If you download the Franco kernel updater app from the market, there's an easy UI for over clock, and other kernel settings, such as changing the gamma settings for color

From the thread:
* Added ColorControl by Ezekeel:
/sys/class/misc/colorcontrol/v1_offsets
V1 gamma offset triple (default -4/0/5, set with 'echo "-10 0 -2" > v1_offsets' for example, causing green tint when 2. value < 0)

But can this "gamma offset" be used to fix the gamma being off causing video nastiness (as described here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1344714 as well as here: http://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=23862)? If so, I will definitely consider trying franco again (despite the awesome battery life I'm getting from leankernel 2.0.1).

Phiquantu, my new Galaxy Nexus appears to be acting possessed as you describe. Randomly, there seems to be no way to reproduce it, the touch screen will start to register random touches. Is this as you describe? Is there a fix for it?

The general sound improvement on the SGS1 with voodoo-sound compared to stock was night and day. Seriously.
So good in fact that coming to the Galaxy Nexus was a bit of a bummer. It's not as good as the SGS1 with Voodoo sound.
The SGS1 went from beeing averagely OKish to ZOMG IS THIS IMPROVEMENT SOFTWARE ALONE? It completely revived my Shure earbuds and my entire MP3 library.
If Francis can do anything remotely close to that on my Galaxy Nexus, there is absolutely nothing on this phone I will be complaining about.

Lol. Atm, and the big picture is don't have time to look at the details. I wasn't looking for an answer like josteink gave. I am looking for a short precise answer like it it custom equalizer, supercurio enhanced, something like audio enhanced or does it correct some flaws in the chip or fill in the gaps. I see too many posts about how good it is rather than why it's good. That's all. Haven't been on xda much lately. Breaking in new equipment and getting more. Video and audio equipment actually. Miss plasma. And great stereo. I am seriously considering getting a turntable because even with vinyl's flaws there is a lot to be enjoyed with it and I miss that.

galaxy nexus have no led night ?

I have bought new galaxy nexus today !
I find out, it have no led night when changing !
it is normal ?
the led night when will be function on phone? i..e. message coming or got missing call on the phone
As stock, the LED is very limited (mostly to sms and gtalk and possibly a couple others).
You need an additional app for full control, such as Light Flow.
It doesn't come on while charging by default. As adrynalyne said, its very limited by default, and will only do things like light up for SMS/MMS/Email.
Use Light Flow and configure it to your liking.
Glad to see I was not the only one that had this question. Thank the webmaster for the search box.. LOL
I am going to check that app out the moment i go on break.. I want to be able to adjust the color for different contacts so i know who is calling or txting.. hope this will do that..

Very simply, the Wolfson DAC is how audio is processed on our phones. It is an extremely impressive implementation that is somewhat handicapped by Samsungs proprietary coding. Voodoo sound is an alternative module (kernel level driver) that unleashes its full potential and dynamic range. Supercurio is the developer responsible for bringing voodoo sound.

I havent heard anything on supercurios twitter account. I know he recently bought a Galaxy S 4.2 wifi music player for cheap just because it has Wolfson and he plans on making voodoo for it. It seems like he's very busy testing display and sound properties of every new device that gets released. Good things take time I suppose.

We can use scoobydoo sound on perseus kernel. I confirm it works just like voodoo sound for headphones/line out
Use stweak to modify the parameters
That's cool, but I'm mostly concerned with line-in/ mic settings.

R 153
G 156
B 199
Dss gamma +5
Blue gamma - 7
I'm using liquid smooth so Dss gamma might called regular gamma or whatever. These are the settings I'm using and love it. deep dark and vivid with no strange tinting

Voodoo sound for GS2?

Are there any kernels that support Voodoo sound. I'm still a little new to this phone and I'm on the latest Pacman ROM and I've been reading the rom threads and kernel and don't see any mention of that.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using Tapatalk 2
As of right now, there is currently no kernels that support the feature as supercurio has stopped development for our phone... as far as I know.
There are plenty of ROMs that offer alternatives however, such as AC!D audio or KingBeatZ which are just as good.
I miss voodoo sound with the Wolfson dac in my old Nexus S. Excellent sound and volume. T989 isn't bad, actually its better than most. But that Wolfson DAC is second to none.
