Hello all,
How can i get a gallery from SplashMOD v1 .6 (2.3 .7) ?
Here is a ROM - forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1324223
I have tried many ROMs. But in SplashRom, gallery was fastest. Other galleries are so slow, performance too. So how can i get that gallery? Any ideas?..
Sorry for my bad english..
Using 7zip or winrar you can extract that ROM.
In the extracted folder goto system/app. You will find the gallery.apk file. Copy it onto your sd card and install.

The only reason for this is that gallery isn't stable/working on ics. You need to download quickpic from market as an alternative.

Is it possible to transfer wallpapers from one rom to another? some roms have really nice wallpapers but aren't that great while others are awesome but don't have good wallpapers.
I dont see why you couldnt pull them out with root explorer and move them into your sd card. Then when u flash new rom put them in media file folder where other ones are.

that method sounds ideal but I've searched almost all the phone files and I couldn't find them. If by any chance you're using the stock gingerbread rom you could help me look?
You need root explorer (which you need to buy) on market. You open app n go down to rom zip currently installed. Then go to System folder, Apps folder, and look for Cm wallpaper Apk. file. At this point extract them to root of sd card and bingo bango there u go holmes. As long as you have multiple roms on sd card, you can just go into each one and repeat till u got what u want
meXdroidMod meXperia rom
theres only cmparts.apk :/
Dl rom you want on comp, dl rom with wp you like on comp. Open zips. Drag wp to rom you want, put on SD, flash. There's your walls. Or be easy and add to wp folder on your sd

When i download the .Apk file it shows up on my desktop as a .Zip. If i place it on my sdcard Astro just wants to open it instead of installing it.
Any ideas on what im doing wrong???
Thank you
unzip it first on your desktop, the apk is located in the zip. and then move the apk

Hm, which version? It should just be an apk which you can download/install via phone. Or download it via desktop and move it to the phone. Perhaps your browser is doing something wrong!?

Please don't install it via cwm! . An apk is nothing more than a normal zip file with a special folder structure/contained files (you already posted the contained files ). So perhaps your browser tried to find the "best" extension and named it *.zip. Just rename it to *.apk again, push it to your phone and try to install it again. Then it should work...

You were right. Thank you very much.
Guess windows was adding the .zip to the end of it after i renamed it .apk..lol Didnt notice that until i took a look at the file in Root Explorer and it was Lmt_v0.9.apk.zip. Just renamed it again to Lmt_v0.9.apk. Astro installed it just fine now...
Thanks again
This thread should have been posted on a microsoft windows forum. Period.
Can someone post stock, odex versions of the FF18 systemui.apk and systemui.odex files? I seem to have lost mine. Or if there's a way to grab these from one of the stock, odex ROMs through Odin, please let me know.
Thanks for any help you guys can give.

Oh that's easy, just download the stock ff18 rom and take the zip file off your sd card and put it on your pc desktop. Put it in a folder and UN zip the file. Open the system folder and find the app folder. The system ui will be inside. Put that on your sd card and and push back to system/app on your phone with root explorer or ES file explorer. Reboot and you have the stock ui.

I rooted my phone following this thread for 4.04 successfully, but I accidentally deleted the system clock app while trying to get rid of the bloatwares. (I think it's called clock 1.0 in root uninstaller)
I checked the system/app folder and I have a file called "clockPackage, odex", but I don't have the "clockPackage.apk" file. Is that the file I need to get the default system clock app back? If yes can someone please upload it for me? otherwise what do I need to do to get it back?
Thanks in advance!
Just open up the rom you have wherever its saved extract the clock.apk. Then copy and paste it to system/app with the same permissions as the other apps r-w-r-r or 644 and root. Then reboot when it boots back up go to app drawer and you will see the clock app again.

thanks for the reply! sorry for my noobiness, but which file is the rom and how do I extract it? I looked through the unzipped files I used for rooting and didn't find any apk files
If you are rooted get root explorer to open the zipped rom then extract it to sd card then copy and paste like i said.

To make it your standard gallery, just move the gallery to your system/app folder and unistall your default gallery (to unistall use Titanium Backup or RootAppDeleter)
