[Q] Help Stock Inspire stuck in hboot

i used the ruu update from htc for gingerbread it updated it and worked until i restarted it now it will only boot to the hboot screen is there any way i can just root it and put cm on it without bein able to access the main part of the phone also i cant move the highlight in the hboot screen

so you flashed a DHD RUU on an Inspire? that would probably destroy your device since the dhd and the inspire have different radios and so on.
please post the text that you see in the hboot so it would ve easier for us to help you

Ok I don't know what I did but I turned it on today and it boots normally again but into safe mode

I looked around and it said to restart to get out of safe mode well that got me back to hboot

Having the same exact problem phone wont do anything put the stock img on sd card it searches then says its loading but wait itll take you right back to the hboot screen can move anything, going to try and make a goldcard and see if it willl work then

the rest is the same as above...
It just boot loops from the HTC logo, to the HTC "quietly brilliant" logo, to the AT&T logo, then back again to the "quietly brilliant" one, so on and so forth. I'm looking to get the stock HTC ROM flashed on here but obviously can't get anything accomplished... no way to get PC to recognize phone, no way to put another ROM on phone, no way to get into phone at all. Any and all help greatly appreciated. Thnks.
edit: When HBoot is started, it doesn't let me move the higlight/cursor, then asks me if I want to update... If I say yes, it updates again and gives me the same boot loop. If I say no, it kicks me back out, reboots, and loops again.
Any ideas?

htc told me that the vol down button is most likely broke on mine but that this seems to be a common problem since the last update so if you want unknown sources of gingerbread i think i would go with something other than the stock rom i know i will after i get mine back from htc

I think i managed doing the only thing i wasnt supose to do...
My plan was to set my phone to "S-ON" instead of "S-OFF" as i had it, to get the new 2.3.5 update, however this didnt go as planed...
I used Ace Hack and selected to use the WWE rom from the app, and load the phone with this, however i think i managed to get the CDMA version instead of the GSM version, so now my phone is pretty boring...
When i turn the phone on i am showing the HTC logo and 4 "!" with in a triangle in every corner of the screen,
(OK i am not allowed to post external URLs so in short, this is what it looks like..

If i connect the phone to the PC and then disconnect it, i will be shown the HBOOT meny, however most options are gone.

I have the option of RUU that is it!

DHD stuck at HTC logo after using Advanced Ace Hack Kit

i have big problem right now. I just got my Desire HD back from the HTC service guys with Android Version 2.3.5 and a software Version at around 3.?.?.
Now I tried to get root on my phone by using AAHK from here:

after the Kit tried to downgrade my phone, the phone stucked at that HBOOT, which shows the following:

Your sdcard is corrupted. Besides, why are you using a version of the kit that is not the lastest that it is in attn1's site? Don't risk the phone by using a youtube tutorial, just read and do it yourself.
Besides, if you are stuck and you have read the effen manual you would haven seen that there's an IRC support channel. :good:

Every time I have used AAHK on reboot my phone hangs on boot screen. I pull battery and it then fully boots everytime. Just noticed also shouldn't you now have s-off?

I think he has already downgraded but has not yet S-OFFed.

the thing is that the downgrade failed first check the md5sum of the ROM downloaded by the AAHK under the name of "PD98IMG" it should be "69af684168bfd6b9f34fc138e160b4d5" in my case i've an arabic based rom with android 2.3.3 then if you checked the rom is valid you can postt it on the root of an new SD card, since yours is "i think" is broken and flash it using hboot, or you can download an stock 2.3.3 RUU and flash the rom using your PC then you can root your DHD using AAHK "use latest version and make sure to understand every bit of it" take it easy, it happened to me and i managed to get just fine.... wish you the best

[Q] DHD stuck on HTC screen

my device was recently repaired and the shop gave me the stock ROM , I wanted to root the device again, I already had the Ace hack kit but it got ugly as the power went off from my computer in the middle :/
now the device won't turn on, there's a black HTC and on the 4 corners there's exclamation marks.
when I detach it from the computer it writes :

because your phone already s-off..but fail in the middle..maybe you can try it to flashing this stock rooted rom first by phiber2000 through your fastboot while you connected your phone to pc..by command "fastboot flash zip [the name of this rom.zip]"
if that method don't work..so you must flashing stock RUU.exe from pc...while connected your phone to pc..running that RUU.exe from your pc..
this is same problem as mine before..but mine is not already s-off..you can see my post in here.. #209

i need a help i tried to install alot of roms but no way asoon as i make next nxet i have an error ( signature not same ) and if i removed abattry and then put it agian and power on apper black screen and middle screen worte htc and cant doing any thing also cannt open hboot or recovry

sorry NO -- the info is onsite to unlock - read and learn, you will have a better experience of roms

from turned off - hold vol down, press power for 5 seconds and release power only once phone lights up release vol button - navigate with vol up/down confirm selection press power.

no any thing asoon as press power only show one sreen balck and no any way to go to hboot or recovery mod

U have to hold vol down and power until recovery or bootloader appear. Don't let buttons go until it boots into that mode.

You need to unlock your bootloader. For that you can look at the Easy Ace Root Tool by glevitan. Alternatively, you can try S-Off. For that look at AAHK2. Fair warning, I've never used either one.
