Any chance of implementing AVRCP 1.3 in any custom ROMs? It seems weird that it is taking google this long to upgrade seems like a pretty major feature.
Actually this is available in CM7 for the DHD. I took a short spell with that ROM for just that reason. You have to be aware that although they updated the bluetooth stack there was also a fix to the audio.so posted somewhere in the forum. I found that without the updated file, I wasn't getting track info change through BT correctly but this cleared it up.
I returned to ADHD a few days ago as I found a couple of things in CM7 which just didnt work for me, but overall its a great ROM. Would love to see AVRCP updates in some more ROMS but its one of those things that most people seem to rely on HTC for.

Hi... I have been dealing with this issue for the last month and I am getting really frustrated. I have the XV6900 on VZW with NFSFAN v1 & radio 3.37.77.
I am not sure if this happened after upgraded to NFSFAN final build. The issue is that if I use wired OR wireless headsets including bluetooth headsets, the other party says that my voice is very very low and they cannot hear me. (Speakerphone or using the phone to talk is fine)
I have upgraded the ROM several times, used updated audiopara files, added registry settings for AudioGain but no luck.
Please HELP. My last option is to use the VZW fw which I really dont want to. If I did, I dont think it will fix anyways.
any ideas?

I believe this might be an issue with the phone itself. I have the same issue, but it does not happen at all times. In fact, it only happens when I am close to an airport for some strange reason...
BTW, Audiopara.csv will only increase/decrease the volume of your speaker. I do not believe it has anything to do with your mic.

It's known issue with the newer NFSFAN roms - he has tried several tweaks but to date has not been able to fix it -it's not the phone, it's the ROM, although I've only ever heard of it affecting the wired headset/mic, not bluetooth - if you absolutely need the wired headset to work, there are a couple of other very good roms available that are quite stable - none so far as the feature set that NFSFAN's provide, but are really good, everyday ROMS. (VINROMs latest is great, Barogi is a good new provider, Nagrom's are good if you are adventurous)

My bad - I haven't tried yours yet - I'm appreciative of anyone who's trying to help us Vogue users - keep up the good work -
I just wanted to share some info here in case anyone else was having this problem. I installed a Kenwood KIV-700 with the KCA-BT300 bluetooth addon. It connected and paired with the phone just fine, however, I noticed that I could not get contacts to sync, tried deleting and reconnecting the phone from head unit several times. Then it occurred to me that it could be my ROM (was using CM6 RC1 at the time). I flashed to AVA-FROYO6, thinking that maybe since it is closer to the stock ROM, that the phonebook would sync. It worked and now I am completely syncing with the unit. To be fair, I have not updated CM beyond RC1, as I was happy with it, so didn't feel the need to update to 2 yet, so maybe this worked in the later version.
My guess is that Kenwood works off of stock ROMS and this could be the reason that CM6 did not work completely with it. Anyway, hope this helps someone.
Cool I've got that BT add on sitting in the garage awaiting my install.
Thanks.

Well back to the drawing board. Eventually I got the same Hf-68 error again with Ava's ROM. Then I went to CM6 (release version this time) with King's first CM6 kernel and it worked for the entire time I ran that (about 3-4 weeks). Then i started having some unrelated issues so I decided to try Virus's new sense ROM based off of 3.28 leak release (RC2) with King CFS7 and low and behold I get the error again every time during the point when it is downloading the phonebook.
I am going to try Virus's senseless when he finishes uploading it and try that. I wonder if it has anything to do with the sense contacts...
So frustrating when you buy an expensive piece of equipment and it works so inconsistently.
I don't often use bluetooth but I don't ever recall having interference issues with WIFI until I got to CM7 and flashed the latest radio.
It's WIFI thats causing the issue, if I turn wifi off while I'm on a call the noise is gone.
Is my headset on the fritz, am I loosing my mind, or is this new with this radio version? Or all of the above.
Sidenote: Anyone know of an app that will automatically disable wifi while I'm on a BT call?
MT3GS, CM 7.0.2, Radio 7.9.35.10
hello good sir ok here it goes your running cm7 stable i see with the latest raido and that is great the problem is not with your phone more than likely could be but are you one of the unfortanate folks that has wifi connectivity issue ??? or does wifi work great for you as it does for me never had issues. the reason i ask is cm7 running the latest radio and latest everything lol is flawless however there is a licencing issue from google with android 2.3 cyanogenmod 7 with the wifi apk file meaning cm mod is using the wifi apk from 2.2 because there is no licence restrictions but for whatever reason on 2.3 they have that wifi apk file under licence for a one year period so that being said that may be the issue. or it could be your phone i have 3 mytouch slides mine wifes daughters and they all running cm7 stable clockworkmod and s-off and i have no issues with any i hope this helps and not just rambling good luck if need any additional info lmk thanks
No, that does make sense..
My wifi is a little whacky, but not nearly as bad as some folks describe. I've actually considered going back to CM6 a few times now.
My fiance has a MT3GS with CM6.11 and the older radio, I need to test my headset with that later.
Hi,
My GPS stopped working.
After much research and several tests, changing radio\RIL, stock rom.... could not get the GPS working.
Some time ago, after a long time just picking up one satellite, now does not get any.
Is there any tool or application to test the hardware?
Thanks.
rom do you use?
I noticed this with CM7.1.
The stock rom I tested was the latest 2.3.5 OTA.
Try this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=17081413
Hi,
I tried this with the stock rom and did not work.
I tried with CM7.1 and still not show any satellite.
Sugestions?
Just for the record:
Radio - 27.14.04.28_M
Have the same issue
I like Cyanogen 7.1, but it seems that the gps doesn't work on DHD. Too bad, because it is a really good rom. I have radio 26.10.04.03_M. The same thing as described by others happen:
I turn on the gps, it start searching, and then it stops and the icon disappears even that the gps is still showed as being turned on
My case is different.
Worked for me several months without problems, and fast.
But stop working.
Someone?
I've tried modifying hardware (antenna), changing to stock rom, tried some different radios, editing gps.conf....
I do not know what else to do.
Anyone know some software to test the GPS hardware?
Have you tried changing the NTP servers?
Changing the NTP servers is part of the link spikey001 posted.
Have you tried flashing agps? I haven't got a thread to point you too but there is one in the DHD ROM section. There are about 6 different gps things you can flash, hopefully one of them will work.

You mention that your GPS used to work. Have you recently dropped your phone? It's possible that the GPS antenna contacts might not actually be making contact anymore (either through trauma or just plain old age)? If none of the SW fixes get your GPS working then perhaps you might actually have to do a HW mod?
See this thread for a HW fix: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1318892
Don't worry, it's not as scary as it looks!
Hi,
sounds like what mine did.
Tried software and even made the fysical contact better for the gps-module itself.
No luck.
The solution for me was to buy a new gps-module on ebay for 5-10 us$.
Worked like a charm.
Good luck!!
Thanks for all the help.

I've tried the agps reset/download and no luck.
mrlooneytoon
The phone did not fall, just stopped working.
I've tried the HW fix but did not work, still no satellites.

I can not find the gps-module on Ebay, can you help me?
same issue after upgrading to...
same thing happened to me after upgrading to ICS rom and since am not using it that much, just ignored it and wait for the devs to fix it...now waiting for the wifi fix of blackout ICS
Does anyone know if the Bluetooth SMS MAP protocol is supposed to work in 4.2.2 AOKP (I'm running milestone 1)? My Honda Civic doesn't think the phone supports it, so I'm guessing it's not working, but wanted to make sure there wasn't something I was missing. Also, I'd love to know if anyone is working on it or knows what the status is. I moved from an old hacked-up CM10.1 over to AOKP hoping maybe this had been fixed/was working, but alas, it looks like I'm still out of luck.
If I had more time, I'd offer to fix it up myself (and may still) if someone could point me in the right direction to get started. From what I saw in old posts back during the CM9 days this was working, so it seems that it'd be possible to revive without too much deep knowledge of the protocol itself (some already did the hard work)...

Okay, does anyone know if any of the 4.2.x ROMs support bluetooth sms map?

well there are known bluetooth issues with 4.2.2 roms
I have a bluetooth headset which seems to work fine...
however I have a bluetooth mouse which recognizes but doesn't work in 4.2.2 roms
All 4.1.2 roms built off official stock seem to have bluetooth working fine...
hope this helped m8
In JB, a new Bluetooth stack was implemented. The MAP profile code, which was added to AOKP in ICS, is no longer valid. From what I have read, the new BT stack is not open source, so devs will not be able to reimplement MAP, at least for now.
