[Q] im a newbie

hiya guys could someone help me out a little i know how to flash a rom etc , but im new to the desire so i would love to know which rom to go for and which extras to flash and is it possible to change my desire to the desire hd thanks guys

welcome to the desire community yes we have HD roms in the android development section, but the devs dont have the camera working yet .... there are loads of great roms in the development section so maybe you should try a few, see what ones you like the best

One piece of advice - read, read and read some more!!!
And search lots before asking questions as it's likely to have already been answered

P.S. the HD port on the Desire is awesome!!!

I would advice you to lurk the forums, pick up tips and experiences about roms. If you like the sense UI i recommend LeeDroid mod. If you don't like sense i'd advice you to try out OpenDesire by AdamG or DeFroST by richardtrip. Good luck, and have fun

If not, do you know a working Android 2.3 ROM for Desire HD ?

Hum... I do not understand what is the problem with my question...
This ROM ("Villain") is running well on my HTC Desire now, and I just wondered if it is possible to use it with the Desire HD... So could you tell me why you are irritated ?

the problem for your question si that you asked for a workign 2.3 rom, which are all on FIRST page at development forum
to your other quest: no, the gingerbread rom from desire won't work with the desire hd

Hi guys im wery wery noob
i know i suposed to search and find simalar treads
and i tryed but im wery unsure on what i should do...
i would like to root my Desire HD
with this rom.. [ROM][Jun 11]RCMix3D KINGDOM v1.5 Evolutionary Sense! THE ORIGINAL SENSE 3.0 DHD
can any one point me to i guide on what i should use of apps and how so i can install that rom
i have gingerbread on my phone..

htc wildfire no sense [help]

i rooted my wildfire android 2.1 and flashed cyanogemod7.
i didnt like cyanogemod7 so i reflshed official android 2.1.
(RUU_Buzz_HTC_WWE_1.37.405.1_Radio_13.53.55.24H_3.35.19.25_release_151892_signed)
and now i dont have htc sense i tried everything, on on running apps i see that HTC sense is running but there is no sense.
Can somebody help me ?

What exactly do you mean by the fact you have no Sense? What is missing or not working for you?

i have no HTC sense widget on the startscreen and no widgets of sense. but htc sense is running.

Did you use alpharev x coz its a bug my daughters wildfire was the same no wallpapers or scenes,you can still add them manually.I'm not sure but I think there is a fix somewhere

You had S-OFF by AlphaRev X? I thought you rooted 2.1, as per your original post, hence, you didn't need that, and was racking my brains.
Anyway, good you solved it
