I'm sick of losing my bookmarks every time I switch roms. Is there any way we can export bookmarks from the stock browser to our sd card or save them using Titanium backup or something? Then in someway just import the bookmarks back using an html file?
I wish. I don't think opera does that either.
I do it on the stock browser all the time.
Save all user apps and system data with TB. Install the new ROM. Then use TB to install just the bookmark data (data only).

Hello!
I want to get a new Rom on my Desire.
Currently i have leedroid 2.2 (froyo-rom) installed and i want to go for redux (2,3 gingerbread).
Last time I've changed a rom is quit a long time ago,
so I dont really know what is the best method at the moment.
I want to get my current settings as quick as possible, so I need a good Backuptool and a good "plan".
Important:
-sms
-emailaccount settings
-apps WITH appstore connection (updates etc)
-calender
-folderorganizer settings, widgets, and launcherpro settings
-contacts
Is there an "allround"-app, for saving all these settings in an easy way?
Whats the quickest solution for changing a rom?
Thanks for help!
There easiest way for backing up most of your data is to actually use your Google Account. So when creating contacts make sure it's created as a Google contact and the same for your calendar. They will get backed up to your account and will get restored when you sync on a new rom (this has saved me a lot of time). You could try something like Titanium Backup although I don't know what you can backup other than apps. There are SMS backup apps on market.
Yes best way is to use google acct to backup your contacts and calender.
For SMS - there are many apps in market which can backup in yr gmail (but not sure of restore) or can back up on your SD card. You can restore it later.
So generally,
I do nandroid backup(just if something goes wrong),
after that titanium backup (which saves all apps so you need to reinstall and saves your progress in games)
Launcherpro settings can also use back up to SD card (i dont use lancherpro but I do remember having that setting) which can you restore later.
So just download new ROM, wipe everything and flash it and 1st restore titanium backup and later restore your SMS and launcherpro settings.
Use SMS Backup + backs up/restores all SMS/MMS to your Gmail account for free.
You can also use titanium backup. But note that some settings won't work on a different rom especially if switching from 2.2 to 2.3.x.so be Caucasus when restoring.

yes use titanium backup. works good.
Is it possible to backup your saved passwords and usernames.... Getting tired of putting them back in after flashing
Sent from my Sprint GS3
Sadly, not really.
For most stock apps, you cannot make backups of data and transfer them as easily from device to device or ROM to ROM. However, if you use a third party browser like Chrome, Dolphin, or others, you may be able to back up ALL information from these browsers including recent history and others.
EDIT: If you'd like to make a backup of your stock browser's settings, you might be able to allow one of the third party browsers to import the settings into that one, then transfer that data over to the new device/ROM. Once there, transfer the app and data as usual and then open the stock browser and try to import your data from that other browser that you imported the original settings into.

What's the best way to back up my phone and transfer it to my new one? I'm running aokp and nova can I just transfer my nova back up to the new phone? What should I do in tibu though?

Best way to transfer it would be through a nandroid using ext sd card. Otherwise you can use TiBU for USER (backing up system apps is asking for trouble) [apps+data] only.
Nova will only backup your layout and drawer. When you load the nova backup on the new phone it will mirror your exact setup and if there's any apps missing it will simply have a green android icon with the name of the app that was installed on your homescreen (currently not installed).
You'll also want to use google account sync to backup your contacts. Pictures/videos/audio obviously through an ext sd.
I had to backup my GS3 apps when going from root back to stock. For the apps you can find the TiBu folder in the internal storage, copy that to your PC. When you get your new phone- install TiBu, paste the folder back in and you should be able to restore them. Contacts can be restored by syncing with the Gmail account, and photos you should copy to your computer as well. Good luck

What's the best way to backup our saved webpages and bookmarks?
Is root & Nandroid the only option?
I'm new here I'm looking for apps that can do a full backup and restore of all of my apps, contacts, bookmarks and all other data. My Phone is unrooted and for now I want to keep it that way for now. Or a way to return it to Its unrooted condition. I'm new at this. I have read that titanium is good but it has to a rooted phone.
Contacts are backed up to your Google account automatically if you choose Google instead of local for contacts location. Photos are backed up in Google photos. For apps, try helium. Needs a PC. But most apps get data back with a simple login. Bookmarks are stored automatically if you use chrome, and return automatically when you login.
