i was on sprint's web checking out the white epic it looks hella beast! totally getting it. i dont mind having two lol.
Btw i want you guys to read the first comment on there. its funny, obviously the guy there have not even owned an epic touch before and is probably a ifag haha. i mean jessus the guy really has no clue what he's talking about lmao. and if it was real. he's probably a really bad owner and shouldnt be using smartphones. one from (ALAMOTEXAS)
1) First device went bad within 5 days. The headset went dead and you could not receive or make calls. 2) Second device was no better. The phone continually freezes up from screen to screen, you end up on screens you were never on in the first place, especially in the middle of making a phone call. Sometimes to the point the tool bar to mute, or disconnect the phone or place the phone on the speaker completely disappear. 3)The biggest disappointment besides freezing, was when chekcing the voice mails from the phone icon, while listening to a client's voice mail message, the phone would start to dial that number all by itself, especially, if you just happen to move or tilt the phone, the phone would self dial the number of the voice mail that you were listening too, when you did NOTHING. 4)At times you could feel the phone churning and making noises as if it was jello, very odd. I liked the phone and it has a nice feel and look, but I cannot allow a phone to call people, some of which do not have my cell number and the freezing up from screen to screen was not tolerable.

The reviewer is a f'in idiot! Making sounds like jello, wtf is a jello sound? Is it a slapping fapping sound?
Yes, there are times when hardware & software f up. How does the saying go? 90% of computer problems are user error? So many times people want me to look at their phone or computer because its f'ing up. More times than not, the "problem" doesn't happen when I'm messing around with it. Stupid for a whole thread, I know.
But if you had not noticed, with the new market app there is a nice little sale on some good games and a few apps. Not huge, but some good ones for cheap.
Dead Space, SwiftKeyX, soundhound, ect. Check it. Then ignore this thread.

****, if I can help you, shabby, my whiskey filled moment is validated. Lord knows you've made my life better.
I find I don't actually play much games, IRL. But I do like having the nice ones, for those moments. And DeadSpace, Sprinkle, and even FullFats "Flick" series are nice little time wasters. Esp since coming from the Evo4G, and i find myself always a little surprised when I don't have to think about "crap, do I have room for this useless app?"
And the others, yeah, either I have them, or don't need them... Unless someone has a recommend for mSecure or TuneIn for any reason?
PS, holy f*ck, Dead Space run/looks/is awesome. Wow. I am actually a bit stunned. Well played, EA.
Yall should also thank the OP's in the other two threads that said the same thing earlier.
I am friggin addicted to the flick golf and the flick football games.

If you're not a great mobile phone typist... and you just can't get the knack of swyping... then SwiftkeyX is the best keyboard out there. Great predictive tool... especially if you link it to email, Facebook, SMS and Twitter. It really learns your favorite phrases and sentence fragments... and it knows when to insert my entire email address after just a couple keystrokes.

Trolling doesn't always mean direct sarcasm, I read this as Koush trying to start controversy. I'm pretty sure he meant what he said because it's basically true. Microsoft and Google (and every single phone vendor) routinely release devices with tons of bugs, because devs are already working on the new version and they know they can just patch things later on. I don't pretend to know if it's a matter of skill, lack of testing, or lack of Steve Jobs ashes.
Example: Everyone made a big deal when we found out that holding the iPhone 4 a certain way killed the signal, but I honestly cannot believe there wasn't a similar outrage over the LOS bug the ET4G had at launch. The iPhone signal bug, while unfortunate, was easily fixed by either getting a case or just holding it differently! Compare this to our phone's LOS bug. Fortunately for me I was able to flash a leaked modem to fix my phone, but you can't expect normal people to do that. Most people had to wait way too long for an OTA that fixed something that should have been fixed before launch.

Have you felt kinda upset when you text someone and they don't reply back.? Wouldn't you like to know if you was blatantly being ignored or not. Well Facebook has this cool feature that tells you if your message was read and at what time. Who would like to see this feature in our mms app? I know I would. Which one of our talented developers on here could make that happen.?

Won't happen
That feature would require information being sent back from that phone.... in other words, it won't happen.
Actually, long ago back in ancient times like 2004 or something, I had an old Verizon flip phone that could do this. But it only worked for other Verizon phones. If I texted someone who was also on the Verizon network, there would be a little yellow page that would appear, letting me know if they read my message or not.
This is available today but I think that it requires your carrier to cooperate. If you were to create such an app, you'd have to get all of the carriers to agree with you and let you use their network to determine if this person read the message or not. Carriers can know when you read a text message.
My dad is on the Go Phone plan for AT&T and uses a flip phone and they charge him every time he simply reads a text. If he receives a text but doesn't open it, he isn't charged for that text. That was the same with my Verizon phone. If I opened a text, I paid for it. So carriers do have the technology to know when you read texts...you just need them to cooperate with you if you'd like to create such an app.

All this time could be put into making my LIVE wallpaper switching program, I have money and google. But I would rather pay than google how to script that out.
Most of the thread being closed have dedicated threads in the stickies sections.
Why waste space and time? I mean I think you could go through and count the number of Apple vs. Samsung threads that have been closed, you'd need more then 2 hands. Same with LTE 4G.

Yes, some moderators can come off as arrogant. I can see their frustration as the threads get bogged down with the same questions over and over again. Although, they need to accept their position as moderator and not allow their frustrations to spew onto others. Lesson... Read, read, read... Your question has been answered 99% of the time. Especially in development threads. The same question asked repeatedly can slow down development, because instead of working on improving the device, they have to answer the same questions 50 times.

Take heed; the power of suggestion is powerful on this one. Don't go dark side.
The funniest reply I read on the subject was that, "Samsung can't make this idiot-proof because someone else will make a better idiot!"-LOL.
How many people reading this never even thought of backwards install and tried it anyway? We should really just take others at their word. It is possible but don't do it; you could seriously break the usability of the S-Pen but only have yourself to blame for it.
Cannot believe one editor done this on a Note 5 test loaner and begged Samsung for a response. May as well admit it, you're a bigger idiot than Samsung imagined possible if you can't resist the temptation to find out for yourself and don't know when to stop. Better to not start in the first place; let the examples already given suffice an answer.

For those wondering, this shows exactly what happens when it goes in wrong on the Note 5. That little plastic finger gets caught on the pointlessly fancy new removal mechanism. If the new S-Pen didn't have that thing on the back end of it, there wouldn't be anything for the plastic lever to catch (and break off) on.

Wow, you'd have to shove it in almost all the way. So you not only have to be stupid, you have to be insanely stupid.
Anyway, if you don't know "pointy end goes in hole", you're going to have more problems in your life than just with your phone.

Here's where the skipped generation design proof of reliability gets my attention. I liked the idea because it meant the huge notch in case backs could be removed for appearance's sake. My wife being an iPhone fan, that excessive case cutout was the only thing that got her attention when I got the Note 4-my first Note.
Now there's a year to determine the fallout and improve on next generation or nix it for the better. Same for the sealed case vs removable cover for ExtSdCard and replaceable battery. Watching the verdicts with interest; glad I skipped this generation.

From Reddit, here's one way to fix the problem that makes sense. The other idea floating around (make the head bigger) wouldn't work because you couldn't press it in to click it. This fix would work, but it would be pretty odd looking having 2 gaps where the top is flush with the phone.

I read an article on this and just thought... "Who the #@$& would have ever tried to put it in backwards in the first place?".

I almost did it once on my Note 3 my first day with it. Almost. Caught myself and knew it likely wouldn't be good if it got stuck. Haven't done it since and watch what I'm doing whenever I put the pen back. If I ever need to move to the Note 5 that diligence will pay off.

Brilliant solution. I hope all the carriers have been trained in this procedure. They're going to be using.
The crying (of foul or otherwise) is coming from those who tried to force it out and broke their device or are trying to drum up hits for their site.
