Kernelpan1c Nitro HD ROM
The first Custom ROM for the LG Nitro HD on AT&T
Overview:
This is based on the Stock ROM that shipped with the AT&T LG Nitro HD with fully de-odexed, zipaligned, root, optimizations, bloat removed, and LG launcher replaced. The goal of this ROM is to be lightweight and fast. Please note I have removed many stock apps, check the second post. This ROM does not wipe your data, but a backup is still highly recommended.
The goal of this ROM is to be lightweight, fast, and clean.

Installation:
0. Use Titanium Backup to backup apps+data (recommended)
1. Please make sure you have the latest CWM Recovery installed from ROM Manager (app in Market). Then enter recovery.
2. Make a nandroid backup!
3. Then "wipe cache partition" and "advanced > wipe dalvik cache"
4. If your not coming from an earlier version of my ROM, you need to "wipe data/factory" reset in CWM
5. Flash the ROM zip
6. Reboot your system. Give it some time, it takes 5-10 minutes
Note: follow all these steps whether your coming from another ROM or upgrading from an earlier version of my ROM
If your not on AT&T (ie your using Bell in Canada), you will need to download APN Backup & Restore from the Market to delete the current APN and then create the APN for your carrier.

i'm waiting to flash this rom
Congrats on having the first custom ROM for the Nitro HD.
Beta links have been sent out.
Put the link please!
We have enough beta testers for now, I will hold off sending anymore for now. Thanks for all the interest. The public release should be within a day or two.
bravo kernelpan1c... cannot wait to get my hands on this.
I am going thru flashing withdrawls since getting this phone.
this will be the 1st ROM i ever flash!
i'm very excited...................
Hi, Kernelpan1c! Great work!
I would ask from you to release a stock deodexed rom w/o changes.
I really like stock launcher and fonts, and other stock things, but I have not enough knowledge to cook it by myself.
notice any improvement in battery life?? that alone will be worth flashing.

Just use Titanium backup prior to flashing and you can restore what you want.
Hey, do y'all think I should go ahead and get CWM squared away on my phone now or should I wait and do it + this ROM at the same time?

Do it now and work on the fixes you're likely to have to deal with (it's still new so ya know there's gonna be bumps!). Once you're comfy it's working right, then do the ROM...Then work on the fixes with that.
I'm a big proponent of dealing with frustrations one at a time (whenever possible! )
This is what happens when I don't get online much over the weekend... Locked out of trying a new ROM.

I'm thinking the same thing but it occurred to me *maybe* some of those bumps in CWM get ironed out in the mean time. Or is that not likely?
I'm hoping (due to my lack of knowledge re: these sorts of things) for a smooth install of the CWM. It all seems pretty straight-forward but I can get glossy eyed about these sorts of things!

I will do that after this release. I still need to de-odex the rest of the APKs that I took out.
I will probably also release flashable ZIPs to restore apps that people want.

damn you are hauling ass on this ROM. updating right now.
Looking pretty good man, am downloading now, thanks! Quick Q, is this a continuation of your other thread or will you be supporting both?
Can u flash v3.2 over v3.1? Or would u advise to wipe first?

some ui modifications are going to be my next step it seems the rom is running smooth and is pretty stable, the notification will be transparent hopefully and about the cm7 I am not too sure what you are talking about witht he whole toggle thing as I ran sense on my evo. as to kernels I'm working with bubby he's making a new kernel with the newest cwm in it and hopefully be adding OC.

I was referring to the WiFi/Bluetooth/GPS/Sound/4g toggles we get in the pulldown.
It would be nice if we could change them and add our own, as well as be able to rearrange the whole thing. Something similar to this.. which I realize is Sense based but perhaps it could be ported over? Or maybe it would be easier to port them over from CyanogenMod itself since they are already working on a version for our phone, from what I hear.
oh ok I see, no I won't be doing any mods like that, that would probably take a lot of time and quite honestly I don't know if I could do that, I'm sure someone will release a mod to flash to do it or something, I just don't have the knowledge to do it and I can openly admit it plus I don't want my rom looking like cm

No worries. Maybe an option for screen orientation in the advanced power menu then? In addition to Reboot and Recovery.
It's kinda annoying having to go to display settings every time I want to toggle it on/off (I only use it when browsing websites, webcomics, and such).
Transmission sent from a Galaxy S II.

Agreed that is on my list of things to get done
Flashed v3.1 yesterday and since then my battery has been on a serious drain. I went to sleep with 97% battery and woke up with 50% (with wifi, bluetooth, gps all turned off). Would reflashing this rom or switching to v3.2 help me out?
---------- Post added at 07:27 AM ---------- Previous post was at 07:21 AM ----------
Please don't freak out on me but this rom or kernel is causing me to get no signal sometimes. I have to restart to get a signal to return
Had your 3.1 version and i loved it except i couldnt overclock with it. If that could somehow be changed i will run that permently! Love the themeing and thanks for your hard work

Are there any other changes between 3.1 and 3.2 besides the scroll?
Just flashed this before I leave for work and put Zedo's v3 kernel on top of it. Looking forward to putting AEMod through my daily routine to see how it holds up.
Thanks for the effort on this!
Flashed this and running the kernel that's packaged with it? I'll report back later today. Thank you for the rom.
Samsung Galaxy S II
Factory Reset?
Flashed your ROM just fine, everything looks fine, but I have a habit of resetting factory defaults after flashing a new ROM (WM6 woes) to make sure the rom and settings are as fresh as possible.
I noticed when I go into settings to do a factory restore, it would restore the original Sprint boot screen and then just hang there. Was wondering if this is normal for all Android roms or this one in particular?
Would it be possible to get a list of known bugs or things not working in the OP? This is pretty standard across most roms. Or.... is the rom already bug free?

I don't know what would be causing 3.1 to drain battery any faster than any other version as nothing has been changed to cause any issues like that, you might be experiencing android os bug that I guess is out that uses a crap load of battery for no reason, you could try a full system wipe then reflashing, I was noticing android os using a crap load of my battery so I just wiped everything and reflashed.

I'm guessing none, just that one was made by WH and this one by woldy.
Powered by the SGSII....
We did the same things and most likely both used Kitchen, if Whitehawkx already started a thread for this feel free to delete mine.
Does the browser work normal on this rom? I flashed whitewhawks and browser was laggy as hell, I had to nandoid back to 3.7. Thanks for this!
browser works great for me

I installed the stock ROM, and after a bit of head scratching, managed to root it. WiFi calling works, everything works. First thing I did was delete Carrier IQ.

Yes it is missing the market app.
Why would the market be missing? That's crazy! Lol

Good catch, I only updated from current and not from stock so it was not an issue. It is in there so I will have to debug.
its just missing the apk...should be able to throw the apk in and be set
not sure what happened when i originally built it that it was missing the market.apk. everything else was there, just not that so i have no clue what happened. I restored a backup so i originally had the market, didnt realize til i reflashed after i heard it was missing
Also, anyone find the "swipe to unlock" note in the lockscreen annoying? how can i get rid of that?

The purpose of this ROM was to slim down the Desire Z version of mdeejay ICS AOSP rom and to get better battery life.
There are some graphical glitches every now and then, restart the launcher to fix (force close)
I am an extreme minimalist and hate anything unnecessary on my cell. I needed a way to "clean" install ICS and pick and choose the apps that i really need. soooo.....
Features
This ROM is based off the newest Desire Z version of mdeejay ICS AOSP rom , rooted, with all bloat removed, and some battery tweaks.
All unnecessary apps removed, get what you want from the market
All stock ringtones removed
All notification sounds removed
All stock wallpapers and live wallpapers removed
All but smallest alarm sound removed
Replaced trebuchet with NOVA
All TTS removed except for US english (can be easily installed in settings, voice input/output, install voice data)
Official ROM size 163mb, ICS Slim 99mb
To add your own ringtones//notifications add them to the appropriate folders on the root of your SD card, ICS makes them for you.

Installation
It is recommended that you flash SuperWipeG2+ before flashing any ROM. This will erase all of your phone's data. The files on your SD Card will not be erased.
1.Download SuperWipeG2+ext4 (Recommended) and the ISC Slim ROM below, and place both of the .zip files on the root of your SD Card.
2.Assuming Clockwork Recovery is already installed, hold the Volume Down button and press the Power button to boot up your phone. Keep the Volume Down button held down until you are greeted with a white screen with skateboarding Androids on the bottom.
3.Press Volume Down once to highlight "RECOVERY" and press Power.
4.Once in recovery, use the trackball to hover over "install zip from sdcard". Click with the trackball to select this option.
5.Select "choose zip from sdcard".
6.Select "-=SuperWipeG2+ext4=-.zip" and "Yes - Insall -=SuperWipeG2+ext4=-.zip". Let the installation run; once finished, it will automatically reboot into recovery.
7.Scroll down to "advanced" and click.

ICS Slim v1.4
superwipe g2+ext4
ATTENTION!!!
This is not the general section of the forum, its the dev section. If u can aid in the development of ics please reply. If u have problems or bugs please reply, I will try to fix them
I'm trying to mod this ics rom (the best one in my opinion) to match my other G2 slim rom that I made
Future plans:
MY #1 PRIORITY IS TO FIX WIFI CALLING, I HAVE NO RECEPTION AT MY HOUSE!!!!
All things that I think would make a perfect ics rom, i feel I've done all I can on 2.3, I want to make the jump to 4.0
Hmm looks tempting. I may dive in but I'm cycling elitemod right now. I will definitely download and give it a go this weekend. Great job though.
Sent from planet Vegeta.
hahaha sent from planet vegeta??? did u send it in a saiyan space pod? gotta love some dragonball
haha nice! a dragon ball fan
thanks for the slimmed ROM
good stuff
Looks promising.
One - kinda OFFtopic - question:
Is SuperwipeG2+ext4 for Desire Z's too? (been looking at superwipe's thread, I promise) and is it the same as clearing data, cache and dalvik in CWM manually?

I beg your pardon, but unpacking ROM files, removing apks and ringtones, renaming ROM and packing it back... all of this is now called ROM build?
Am I alone to sense it???
It's only customization which can be done by any noobie after ROM flashing and setting it up.

Maybe I'm missing something but when did he ever claim this rom to be his own personal work? The very first line of the OP says "The purpose of this ROM was to slim down the Desire Z version of mdeejay ICS AOSP rom and to get better battery life."
He's sharing his modded version of another rom and states EXACTLY that. However slighty modded the rom may be, it's not the exact same as the rom it's based off. So simply appreciate him sharing or don't reply.
I'll be trying this ROM out shortly as well as the original "fatter" version to check the differences.
Haters are going to hate. I don't think they understand that perhaps this is your own personalized build based off a 'stable' ROM and you're releasing it in hopes that others may want to take advantage of it. Never does the OP state that this is his own work. S/he gives full credit to the original authors. I don't understand where all this hate is coming from.
just installed. why music app cant find my songs in sdcard. and put a file manager. nice job.
grrr no greek keyboard lang
edit:music works just is slow i try original rom same missing thinks not your fault
I see credit given and no claim to it being his/her rom. Can we drop the hate now..... Period!! Or I'll dish out infractions
...........................
You can lead a fool to wisdom but you can't make him think! XDA, mobile wisdom, not a n00b feeding ground!!
I don't see the point on such a release, based on our work without our given permission.
I don't think a pure AOSP build is kinda bloated.
Good, you can remove files, but this is not what everyone calls a rom, sorry.
Please remove it.
This is a very light themed optimized rom with some modules

if u r talking about this one:
ro.kernel.android.checkjni=0
then yes) i dont have this issue, or didn't notice before)
I believe he is talking about the modded product ID lines in the build.prop to make A500 games visable to us A100 users (for some reason a100 is not compatable with a bunch of games).

If you want to load games optimized for A500, it is enough to replace a line in build.prop:
ro.product.model=A100 -> ro.product.model=A500
all other necessary modifications are already present there.
Thanks for all quick replies. But I am not talking about A500, even though the issues are the same or similar.
I have many useful apps that I can find on my android phone (GB), NookColor (CM7) and Touchpad (CM9) but not on the A100 device. I tried all ROMs (stock, your ZN version, CM9 and this one), they all have the problem.
One example of those missing apps is:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/...sMSwyLDUwMSwiY29tLmNoYW96aC5pUmVhZGVyRnJlZSJd
I cannot think of a reason of incompatibility since it's a simple eReader
I love it! Maybe this is the excuse to unlock my tablet

I am trying this out now.
The ring displays correctly on landscape but does not on portrait. Some of the Google should be included, like Gmail. I flashed gapps but it did not include gmail.
Since your concern was to have green for android which is a Google OS maybe go ahead and include the Google apps especially Gmail. Thanks. So far it seems to operating okay. We will give it a week and see what it starts doing.

There is some other problem with this rom. A bunch of my gplay apps are coming up as incompatible now, even ones that require no special permissions.
I think if a rom is going to made that is regional it should be posted as such.
Sadly I am going to have to flash another rom.
I had hopes for this rom, maybe if the devs stick with it I will try again in future.
Thanks for your effort.
Hey ZN I installed your stock theme zip and was wondering if there was a way to get that cool wallpaper you have in the pictures on the first post...thanks

Hey ZN and Igcmn...I notice that sometimes when waking the tab up from sleep mode or returning to the homescreen it tends to automatically go to landscape mode....and stays there...won't flip to portrait....i either have to reboot for it to work (in which it will return back to landscape) or if I try other things (games that only do portrait etc) then i t will work
UPDATE: Fixed all FCs. Everything seems to be working fine. Please check my most recent post in the thread.
This is based on stock LP for d800.
It is based on the D800 LP stock firmware. It comes pre-rooted and most bloat removed.
THIS ROM IS D800 ONLY
Please post comments of what you want added and please help me by giving me a link to the mod you want or a tutorial that I can base the work off of. I'll pretty much let this ROM run itself from the comments people add and what you guys want. PM me if you have issues.
Installation:
Flash ROM zip
Flash blastagator's bootloader (ROM-patch-v1.2-lp30f-d800-blastagator-signed.zip)
Flash DorimanX Kernel from this page
Download:
Serenity v1 - Google Drive
Serenity v2 - Google Drive (MD5: 0a0dbfb9c296ba06e2e7a21a4bf539cf) (Android System FCs are crazy on this build.)

Bugs:
Some apps will show up as blank icons such as "Isis Wallet" on the homescreen on first install. (If anyone knows how to fix this please PM me!)
Just delete these apps off the homescreen!
Lockscreen weather doesn't work.
To-do:
- Working weather app (if someone has stock LP weather apps from d800 please inbox me! (LGWeather, LGWeatherService, LGWeatherTheme))
- Serenity theme
- Aroma installer
- Xposed built in
Changelog (From v2 to v3 TEST):
Rolled back to a previous update.
Tweaked battery / performance
Lightened up system load
Removed a few apps that aren't necessary.
Removed G4 weather (Will not be adding back)
Changelog (From v1 to v2):
Removed Carrier IQ.
Removed some more bloat
Fixed the FCs I was having
Added LG G4 weather (still works with xposed)
Thanks:
blastagator for their ROM patch
DorimanX for their kernel
Sorry.. but is it a normal stock rom? With De-bloater script?
Looks amazing.gonna be try !
been looking for a flashable zip D800 stock LP ROM for a few months.
Could U build one while U are at it?
I like to use the LG Weather app.
Perfer Odex ROM for performance.
Will also test drive Serenity. The only bloatware I remove are just AT&T stuffs.
Looking forward to it.
I too have been looking for a D800 stock Lollipop rom for a while and this looks like it might eventually be just that! I prefer 100% stock except pre-rooted and anything with AT&T's name on it gone. As long as the rest of the apps on the rom allow for uninstallation (not just disable) it would be sweet. Kind of afraid to flash this just yet as it seems to be very early (Alpha) and haven't seen any users post stability reviews so I'll keep an eye on this thread and flash when it looks stable. Thanks OP!

I don't think LP roms are able to be odexed.
I'll put a zip up to add back LGWeather & Cover in a little bit

It's stable. Only reason i have it as "alpha" is because there are no features. Very stable. I do have one FC though and I'm fixing it now.

This is a flashable stock rom with all of ATT's bloatware removed. It disables OTA updates. I contained the G4 weather in v2!
So, in order to restore a backup of a previous rom, we could simply flash the jb bootloader you included in op, reboot recovery and restore per normal process, correct?
Sorry to do this in the dev thread, but I figured someone had to ask so we'd better get it out of the way on the first page. ?

There's two permissive kernels on that page and the 30f ones removed right now, that the one we need?

If we were to flash the rom, then @blastagators any rom patch from here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3124809), would we be able to forego flashing the bootloader and kernel?
