Hey guys my Desire Z got a Problem with the Display. It won´t show me anything like it is dead
But i´m quite sure that everything else is working like touchscreen etc.
For now i´m on Miui but i need to send the Phone back to Amazon.
Is there Anyway for me to Unroot my Phone without seeing anything ?

but i´m not sure if it will work on my Desire z because of " This will work for Vision, Ace and Glacier devices." and because i don´t understand alle the instructions
If there´s no way to do it , i will send it back and pay :/ Anyone know how much it may cost ?

Edit : Thanks to Guhl i was able to solve my problem Thread can be closed.
Vision is the code name for the Desire Z and G2. So it will work.
If you have any trouble with it, just join #G2ROOT on freenode irc.

Hello guys I have the HTC desire from the last few days and I need to say I'm very very impress with this phone,I was iPhone user since they was in market.And after few days I think I like HTC much mote than mine iPhone 3gs,the only point what I have right now how I can have the originall HTC desire software cos lovely network o2 was putting some they crappy software,is any possibility to have the real HTC desire software with the all great stuff on it ? Pls pls help me guys

Yes, if you do not want to root, you will need to go down the Goldcard method and then flash the HTC Stock Rom
Otherwise, go down the root option (you will still need a Goldcard) and flash any custom rom.
Just do a search for Goldcard in these forums and you will see how to do it, then just find the stock RUU and run it.

You can root your Desire and then there are loads of ROMS that you can pick from to put on your phone.
I tried to post a little guide for you but I couldn't post links to other websites so ust google create Goldcard, then go to Modaco and download the generic Desire rom and install

Ok I make it goldcard what was not that dimples for me I'm.new with Android lol but anyway now how I can keep the original o2 software in case I will need exchange my handset for new one of something will going wrong ?

You can't. If you need to go back to original software you can unroot the device. Details can be found on modaco.

Hi all
I need help flashing a ROM onto my device i used to do this all the time previously and this one on the HTC DESIRE HD seems alot different and im a bit puzzled following the guides etc. ( yes i may seem stupid )
Anyway could some body please help me through something like remote assitance or teamviewer just so i can get a damn good rom finally on my desire hd.

Recently got a HTC Wildfire (alltel) off somebody for nothing and I am looking for a way to fix it up a bit! I have rooted it. The current firmware is 2.1-update1 and I can not figure out how to do do more with it! I am trying to get it to 2.2 and eventually 2.3...even further if I can! 3.0? 4.0? Anything and Everything somebody could tell me to help out would be AMAZING! I am not a Noob but when it comes to this device I am! I currently own a Galaxy Note myself and this is a lil side project but I really need help!!!! Thank You soo much for anybody that helps!!!
AFAIK that's the HTC Bee and is totally different from the Wildfire. So Wildfire stuff will not work, and, looking around on these forums, I don't think there are any custom ROMs for that device.

z4Root can root your device, try it - it's a universal solution for FroYo and Eclair.

My Wildfire is from Cox and it is a "Bee". Will it also work for the Bee? Thank you so much!
From my original post, I said I already rooted the device. My problem is, I would like to put a custom ROM in the device. I'd like to be on at least 2.2 or 2.3 with the device. Its almost useless the way it is. Anybody that knows any way to do that on this device?? (ya my phone is a Note, but would still like this one nice too...well nice as I could get it)

Hello! I found the firmware on the phone to Android 2.2 HTC Wildfire A315c (HTC Bee) that the description is identical to the HTC Wildfire 6225 / ADR6225 (HTC Bee) but the flash does not work because it did not fit the phone ID. Can anything be done about it?

hello guys, im a happy new member of the desire community .
I have came from a Sony Ericsson Xperia x8, which i a little different in terms of modding your roms and radios... I have looked around the threads for a while now and not really found anything what answers my question, so sorry if there maybe a duplicate don't burn me if there is i have tried.
I know how to root my phone and the recovery installation as i had an old HTC wildfire what i broke but am not familiar with unlocking and flashing bootloaders hence why i need your help.
But i would like some help or answers regarding my HTC so here we go...
Well first of all the HTC is locked onto the orange network, i am currently on three so how could i get my phone unlocked... possibly free?
Also when i get my HTC unlocked if i flash things like new radios, roms, bootloaders ETC... will my phone remain unlocked or become locked again?
Also what is the first rom i should try out? I would want a fast one whats stable but maybe perhaps android 4.0 or above, can you guys give me some suggestions please thanks.
Ps: Sorry for the wall of text i want to make sure i get things right and don't brick my phone in the process of unlocking. :fingers-crossed:

//Edit: If you start with Froyo 2.2.2 ( I did ), the unrevoke method won't work, i used the revolutionary method successfully.

I guess not, but otherwise, if it is locked after flashing or other things: you can unlock your Desire very fast with the first thread in my first post i edited my first post and added some additional Infos for you.

There is only one disadvantage of rooting..
