i have a qtek 9090 and bought a sony ericsson HBH-610a. Unfortunately, i cant use it, as the services are not recognized. I would much appreciate your help.

giro
PDA2K with HBH-610a
I've got the same problem trying to connect the Sony Ericsson HBH-610a with my PDA2K.
I can detect the headset without problems, and pair them (the light on the headset switches to green), however when trying to add it in the BT Manager the PDA says it cannot detect any services from the headset . I get the same message when using the option to detect services on generic BT devices (bottom of BT manager).
I can detect services on Nokia phones with the PDA2K, and use the HBH-610a with Nokia phones, so I guess it must either be a setting in the PDA2K or problems with the BT connection itself.
Anyone can help? I managed to get a good price on the headset and wouldn't want ot have to change it. It's listed as compatible on the internet vendor's site (and several others) but not by i-Mate, nor by Sony Ericsson.
I just bought a 2012 cadillac SRX. The Xperia ARC connects to the bluetooth of the car but the contacts don't sync to the nav system in the dashboard. I have the latest software global 2.3.4. It was a Rogers Version originally. Here is a screenshot of the phonebook that doesn't show up as an option on my nav screen.

I was able to connect my blackberry to the car and the phonebook loaded fine. Still not working on the ARC. I message comes up at the top saying Phonebook access request but nothing happens...Does anyone have any idea how to fix this or heard of the message "Phonebook Access Request." Thanks.
I have an Sony Xperia M (C1905) with Root access (locked bootloader) running stock Android 4.1.2
The Sony Xperia M (C1905) supports Bluetooth 4.0 (with added features if we get Android 4.3)
I have a Panasonic Link2Cell KX-TG7873S home (landline) phone.
The KX-TG78 Link2Cell home phone has a USB 2.0 cellular charging port which is a nice touch.
The Panasonic KX-TG7873S provides Link2Cell via Bluetooth.
This supports inbound and outbound Cellular calls (Link2Cell), with inbound caller ID read from contacts.
Calls/communications are transferred to and from your cellular phone via Bluetooth.
Another feature is that the DECT KX-TG78 home land phone can pick up the arrival of an inbound txt messages and alert you on your home phone handsets dotted around the house.
The alert is sounded on all home handsets with "Text message!!... Text message!!".
NOW... The Sony Xperia M (C1905) does support Bluetooth Message Access Profile (MAP) and can be paired and will alert you of inbound txt messages.
Problem
HOWEVER... if you stop/disconnect Bluetooth and attempt to reconnect at a later time (arrival home again) it won't successfully re-pair again.
It prompts with a six digit Bluetooth pairing number which can't be accepted by the Panasonic Link2Cell KX-TG7873S land phone.
I do note the Panasonic OUI MAC address is in a Bluetooth blacklist(blocked) in /data/mics/bluetooth, /data/mics/bluetoothd
Not sure this is really stopping anything as I removed it and it's still removed after a reboot.
Before I removed it the OUI MAC address block, the Sony Xperia M was still successfully pairing the first time with the home land phone.
If I remove any reference to the Panasonic KX-TG7873S (Seen as DECT KX-TG78 in Bluetooth list by default) with MAC OUI 00-08-F0, I can successfully pair again.
The Panasonic KX-TG78 Link2Cell does use a default 0000 Bluetooth challenge PIN.
This can be changed on Panasonic KX-TG78 land phone, but again this makes no difference, that I'm aware of.
I have a Sony Xperia S (LT26i) running Android 4.1.2 which is paired to the Panasonic KX-TG78 on the second line and it's working just fine.
I can just turn on Bluetooth at any time and once paired, it just reconnects without problems the next time using Panasonic Link2Cell.
The Sony Xperia S doesn't support Message Access Profile (MAP)
The Sony Xperia S does only have Bluetooth 2.1
So it may be that the Sony Xperia M is having issues when reconnecting due to Bluetooth MAP.
As this is a long shot, I'm wondering if anyone knows how I could manually alter the Bluetooth connection on the Sony Xperia M so that it'll connect to the Panasonic Link2Cell KX-TG78 without having to manually reconfigure Bluetooth each time.
I've use extended naming in the hope a Google search will invite a wider audience where expertise may come from different practices.
[Update MAR-2014]
Panasonic support did reply and thought it may be something better taken up with Sony.
Fair enough, as I'm running Android 4.1.2 and there is upgrades in the pipeline which may include Android 4.3, so we can look at the problem again after an Android upgrade.
[Update APR-2014]
Upgraded to Android 4.3 on my Sony Xperia C1905 and Bluetooth MAP profile how works.
[ANSWER] Panasonic Link2Cell KX-TG78 Bluetooth connection
Solution
I have upgraded the Xperia M (C1905) to Android v4.3 and now have a robust Bluetooth MAP (Message Access Profile) service.
Bluetooth MAP service now works on the Xperia M (C1905) with the Panasonic KX-TG78 land phone.
After pairing with the Panasonic Link2Cell KX-TG78 land phone, I'm then prompted to 'authorize' a MAP service.
You will probably still have to edit the Bluetooth /data configuration for Bluetooth to remove the blacklisting of Panasonic MAC OUI 00-08-F0
I did this as I have a phone with root access to the /data/misc folder.
When you re-connect the Bluetooth service after a second time the Bluetooth MAP service connects automatically.
There is a notification on the status bar which can not be removed which indicates the Bluetooth MAP service is active.
The notification states, - Bluetooth Message Access to "DECT KX-TG78"
This never appeared on the old Android 4.1.2 ROM where Bluetooth would pair successfully once, but not the second time unless you reset all Bluetooth /data/Misc configuration. This was unworkable using Android 4.1.2 ROM
In the old Android 4.1.2 you still got an audible txt alert notification on the land phone when Bluetooth was successfully paired on the first connection. However, you couldn't get the Bluetooth connection to re-connect on the second time after Bluetooth had been turned off and on again.
Summary
Using Release 15.4.A.1.9 Android 4.3 on an Xperia M (C1905), all Bluetooth services I have tested on a Panasonic DECT KX-78 home/land phone worked effectively.
Can connect to bluetooth versions < ver 3 but not to Bluetooth 4.1 ...

Hi guys,
I recently bought a cheap smartband that has a heartrate sensor.
I bought it for running and I assumed that I could connect it with runtastic pro just like any other smartwatch.
The smartband comes with its own software called VeryFit (v.2.0).
and heres the wierd part : My sony z2 (Android 6) can perfectly find the Smartband however the pairing always failes but
the app can find the device and connect to it without listing it as a connected bluetooth device in the settings menue (which would be
the requirement to use the smartband with runtastic)
How is that possible ? Any idea why a normal pairing fails and how I can fix it?
thanks in advance
