OK, so I recieved my SGP Neo-Hybrid case in Reventon Yellow this afternoon.
First impression was, WOW that looks nice!
Extended battery is a for sure NO, don't even try it.
(this was meant for the GSM model with the slimmer battery)
I love the look of this case, and it feels great. But the fit is very tight. At first when i put it on it didn't go over the the top of the screen and the buttons didn't align that well. The Vol - button was depressed so when you turned on the phone and unlocked it the volume would just go all the way down and stay there. Then i took the case off and started to pull on it and try to stretch it out a bit and it helped a little. I finally got it to fit sort of nicely. I'll leave it on for a few days and hopefully it will magically change a bit and fit nicer lol
Overall the quality is very nice. Looks are great, especialy in the Reventon Yellow. This case doesn't add a whole lot of bulk to this phone, and actually feels very nice in the hand. the cutouts for the rear speaker, charger and headphones port are very nice, especially the rear speaker hole. the voluem and power button finally fit a little better after me fiddling with and it stretching it and moving it around. The yellow is a very nice shade of yellow, not too bright and not too dark, perfect in my opinion and i don't really like yellows. It's kind of like a lamborghini or ferrari yelllow, as a member on here mentioned in a thread.
and here are a few pics.....
will try to take some tomorrow in daylight to see if i can get a better visual of the yellow color and fit.

UPDATE!!!!!
Ok so a few days ago i decided to modify my neo hybrid to fit a little better.
Those of you have have seen or heard of SGP's neo hybrid EX series cases, they dont have the rubber casing on the back of the phone where the battery door cover is, soo.........................
i did this
And with the extended battery and cover....
and to answer some questions,
Yes it does have a lip, about one mm
It does fit a little better, but still doesn't go over the top of the bezel but it fits much better around the buttons on both sides
And it does feel and look good still, i think but i did send an email to SGP asking if they will be making some neo hybrids for the CDMA version and will post bak soon as i hear from them
That is a pretty sexy case!
Thanks for the pics!
Looks really cool!
Thanks for buying this to try out. I'm curious if it fits any better now after wearing it for some time
Does it fit with extended battery?
does the case protect the screen when you place it face down.
i can't see in the pictures if there is a lip there.
Ugh. I want this case. Wish it fit the Verizon model *tear*
I just ordered the yellow and am thinking of getting the gsm extended Battery. I understand that with the gsm extended battery with cover, it won't fit this case. But if i remove the back cover and just placed the nexus with extended batt directly into the sgp rubber back, would the whole thing fit?
A M A Z I N G
I ordered one in silver and one in white a few days ago as well. They should be here soon. I'm wondering though, if these play nice with wet application screen protectors. I have a ZAGG and I hate it, so I ordered some SGP Flex screens, but people have been saying the XO skin is the best so far, so for $15 I might get one of those as well.
But I have to decide whether I want the full screen or the case-fit screen.

this case does work well with the wet screen protectors. I have the xo skin and at first i thouhght it was great, but now im likeing it too much. It got a little more rubbery than i thuoght it would and the finger prints dont come off as easily so i have to use a wet paper towel to wipe it clean. Im thinking of getting the steinheil oleophobic one to try out.

i tried that with the verizon exteneded battery and i wouldnt do that if i were you. It has some play and the battery might come off the prongs and keep shutting off ur phone

Good to know. I am not a huge fan of wet apply screens, but that's what we get for edge to edge coverage right now. If the Flex doesn't work, I'll get some ultra oleophobics instead. Anything really crystal clear works for me.

I absolutely love my flex. Its really smooth to the touch not grippy at all. It has a small amount of texturing, not quite orange peel but a little texture non the less, but its only noticeable with the screen off. All in all its my favorite wet apply protector out of all the ones I've owned.

The SGP Flex screen protector? I have the XO Skins and i loved it the first 2 weeks and now its getting a little too grippy for me and fingerprints gget left behind like no other. can post a pic or two of it on your phone and is it edge to edge or does it not go all the way to the edged, because i love how the XO goes all the way to edges. Thanks in advance and how long have you had your screen protector on for?
Awesome! The mod makes this exactly the case I was looking for: something very similar to the "bumper" cases for the iPhone. Shock absorbing all around the outside and not covering the back.
If anyone has pictures of one on in black, white, or grey I'd really love to them. Looks like the grey is lighter than the metallic color of the GN, too bad it doesn't match.
k20igor - Is it simple to "mod" this case like you did, does it just come apart with some prying? How well does it fit once mod'ed? You pictures at the end were with the 2000 mAh extended battery and cover off eBay, correct?
Has anyone fit one of these on a GSM (I9250) model? Possibly with one of the eBay 2000 mAh extended batteries and covers off ebay?

I got my silver one on my GSM Nexus today. I don't have the 2000 mAh batteries yet, but that is on the way. I must say this is one of the best cases I've ever owned. I went and ordered one for my Galaxy S II and I'm looking for them for other devices as well. Once I get my extended battery, I'll see how they go.

Does it get dents in it? My ZAGG I just took off in favor of a Verizon anti-glare (I HATE anti-glare) looked like someone rolled a golf ball all over the screen. I can't stand ZAGGs anymore, I only got it for some protection til my Neo Hybrid came.

It does go edge to edge, it leaves about a 1 mm gap if that. I can't post a pic as this is my only camera . I've had it on for about three weeks and its still superb in terms of finger gripyness. My fingers glide over it. You also get two in the package unlike some other screen protectors.

It does have a slight texture but nothing compared to any zaggs I've had. It doesn't really dent that I can tell. All in all a great screen protector.

First thing, this case is wow, amazing. Really nice quality. Feels a lot better than the Speck Candy shell I had on. So much better. The color combinations look really good too since I own a white S3.
Also, the screen protector that comes included is a very nice touch, one of my favorite, and definitely the best that's ever come bundled with a case thus far. If you want the same, nice oleophobic feel that you get with the S3 glass screen, I recommend you get the screen protector from SGP as well, as they have a very high quality one. This one however, is still very good.
Here's the pics, taken by a Gnote.

how does it feel in your hand? Is it easy to take it in and out of your pocket? Does it add noticeable thickness and weight to the device?
Thanks!

Updated with pics!
And it feels great, best of any case I've owned thus far. Very easy, the TPU material is top notch and doesn't snag or attract lint.
And almost no weight, feels amazing to hold. My Speck Candyshell more weight and thickness than this, but the Neo Hybrid feels higher quality, doesn't get all scratched up, and the multiple bumper choices make it cool if you like to have different ones on hand.
Personally, the only other color I like is the "Reventon" yellow, as my school colors are blue and gold. Lmk if you have more questions.

thanks dude for the update! Looks sweet on your white phone. I might get the same one. Couple more questions: Do you think it provides sufficient protection around the edges? In other words, is the material cushy enough to absorb a waist 4-5 feet drop? Second qs: is the lip around the screen cushy or hard?
no lint?
for reals?
Its really the only thing thats kept me from buying this case. I thoguht it would be.
Just got my white/black neo Hybrid. Wow what a case. Really thin case that's a 2 layer protection. The volume buttons and power button are good on my case. From what I read they revised the case. But overall I love the feel and grip of this case. Well made.

Just got mine off eBay. This thing is such a fake. . . . I paid 17 Bucks. Should of known it was bogus. Looks about the same, but fits very loosely and has slight differences from the OP's pics.
Hello,
I am looking to order this case from ebay but I have a few questions.
I have read some reviews from users and found out that they complain about the very sesnsitive buttons. What do you think about this? You can read users' review here -> tiny.cc/sgp-neo
I have also found some on ebay for just about half price. tiny.cc/sgp-ebay I see that the seller has a lot of positive transaction ratings for that case so I don't think it may be fake.
Also, will the white part get dirty over time? like turn grey or something... Is the micro fiber cloth good for wiping the screen or is it just a cloth?
One little problem I have with my current bumper is that the camera lenses is touching the surface I put my phone on, hope this won't happen with sgp case.
I've seen in a youtube video that is looks quite girlish (purple). Is the color fine for matching my blue galaxy s3? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n_EL9A4Tz4o
Last but not least, is the case thin enough so it won't make the phone bulky? I had a galaxy nexus + sgp neo hybrid and it was great. The only problem was that the sillicone material expanded after a month and it was quite annoying, but it was very thin.
I wish that you can answer all my questions.
Thankyou for your time and nice review

I know!
I got compliments on it all day.
The material is TPU, so it doesn't feel "cushiony" like a silicone case would. However, it would survive a 4-5 foot drop. Hell, probably several. And its a hard lip. TOU cases are better in every way than silicone BTW.

Yup, no lint! The TPU, which is the blue part, doesn't attract lint like silicone does. Literally perfect.

Original one in e-bay?
Hello guys,
Nice case! Anyone has a tip about a serious seller on e-bay to where I can buy from? I don't want a fake one.
Thank you.
@dkreventon
The buttons are sensitive, if you mean you don't have to jam your finger in to actually press it. I haven't had any issues with the phone waking up or anything similar.
Don't buy an SGP case from eBay, as they made a new batch that fixed the sensitive buttons issue from before, and you run the risk of getting a fake. That seller never replied to my question if the item is authentic, so I assume its not and would stay away.
Definitely won't get dirty. The TPU is dark blue so you can just wipe any smudge or mark away. Same with the white bumper part, as its polycarbonate. The microfiber cloth was pretty decent at wiping the screen, better than alot I've received but nothing special.
You won't have to worry about the camera lens, its safely inside the protection of the case. And I don't know what's wrong with the oversaturation of the colors in that guy's video, but the color perfectly matches the blue of the blue S3.
And yes, this case is a thin case, doesn't add much bulk to the phone, and is very light, so it doesn't add any weight either. This is TPU, so you won't have any problem with sagging and whatnot.
@Bruno Rodrigues
I recommend staying away from eBay for this product, as there are too many fakes, and usually you won't know the difference unless you have a real and a fake. I recommend Amazon if you want to go through an online retailer, but my personal preference would be to go to the actual SGP website.
Hope this helps you guys out, keep the questions coming!

I have a problem with the power button though, it feels like im just pressing hard tpu. i actually bought two cases one neo hybrid and other neo hybrid lumi . The lumi feels alright but the regular hybrid power button is not good . I bought it straight from SGP so i thought it was the revised one but ill have to wait for a email reply. Other then that, this is the best looking case hands down. BTW: anyone whos thinking about this case and the UAG case, i love the UAG look and feel. UAG definitely protects more but isnt as refined looking. But the cutouts are PERFECT and all the buttons feel amazing!

Can I have a link to sgpstore1 on ebay?
The case is currently out of stock on SGP Website and I can't find that username on ebay or google.
If I buy from ebay from sgp's store, do I have the option to ask for another one if it has issues with buttons, like I could be able to do with SGP website?
So what is the real verdict? Is the sensitive buttons problem already fixed or not?
I think I'm going to buy this case from amazon.it, hope I won't have any issue with the volume and power buttons.

Hey folks. Frequent XDA forumer here and new owner of a SGS3.
Unfortunately, my story begins with tragedy. I got my SGS3 just a few days ago, and last night it slipped from my pocket while I was sitting in a chair and fell 2 feet onto concrete. BAM, hairline crack along the entire length of the front glass. I have to say, I'm not too pleased (my Epic 4G took worse tumbles than that without a case) and I'm ordering new glass from eBay to replace myself because the $178.61 Samsung quoted me, and the $150 deductable I'd have to pay Asurion are both complete rip-offs just to swap the front glass. I'd also just like to go on record and point out that Samsung really dropped the ball not rubberizing the back of the SGS3; the phone is beautiful but like a wet fish to handle. I suspect it wouldn't have slipped out of my pocket had it been rubberized like my Epic.
So, anyhow, enough of my bellyaching. Once I finish replacing the front glass, I need to get this thing some protection. I've looked around on eBay and seen a lot of candidates (both brands I recognize like Otterbox and UAG and otherwise) but I'd really like to hear from you guys what you think.
Here's what I'm looking for:
As thin as possible
Rubberized back or TPU shell
Has a kickstand
No extended battery
Let me know your recommendations!
EDIT - I've now been through all ~75 pages of the "Post a picture of your case along with your S3" thread and, coupled with the suggestions from this thread, I've got this running list going of options:
Qmadix Holster Shell Combo (Metalix product line)
SEIDIO ACTIVE with Kickstand
Case-Mate Pop! with Stand
Cruzerlite Spi-Force
Trident Kraken
Fosmon/GreatShield Hybrid (A lot of alternative styles with kickstand here)
GreatShield Snap Stand
Tomaxx Silikon TPU

Awesome, that's essentially what I'm looking for; some minimal protection that's rubberized and sporting a prop. My only complaint about those Qmadix Metalix models is that visually I'm not really digging the style. They're a little too flashy; I was hoping to see something just all black. But who knows, maybe I'd get used to it. I was glad to hear that the kickstand is very durable, as a lot of the no-name brands I see on eBay have props that look very flimsy.
Would love to see any other suggestions, and thanks again!
I have this: http://www.amazon.com/Aduro-Holster...qid=1352610675&sr=8-6&keywords=galaxy+s3+case
The case its self feels nice but it doesn't protect enough. My screen still broke :crying: with it because it only covers the sides and not the top and bottom. The kickstand is utter **** and falls over when you breathe because the kickstand barely sticks out.
tl;dr: it blows

Perfect. I didn't see anything like that on the Qmadix website so I didn't bother to look any further. Gotta love eBay!
EDIT - Ah, I see it now, it's listed separately due to being a holster/shell combo.

EDIT 2 - Though the prop looks a bit flimsier on this Case Mate model, it does look like it protects a bit better due to having an edge that comes around the edge of the phone, which does add a bit of bulk. Anyone have this case?

This is what I am using:
http://www.amazon.de/tomaxx-Halteru...r_1_39?s=ce-de&ie=UTF8&qid=1352640008&sr=1-39
Cheap, but at least it offers some kind of screen protection, since it envelops all sides of the phone. In my opinion a case that leaves top and bottom unprotected is just useless since those are the areas your phone will most likely hit when it drops.
And it protects the screen when you put it on a table with the screen facing down.
The case has soft sides but most of the back and three of the sides are hard plastic. Only the bottom left corner is the same "soft" material like the sides are. Buttons on the sides are encased too, so no lint or water will enter there. Still they are working pretty well, need a little more pressure though. At least your phone won't activate accidentally in your pocket as easily as it does without the case.
The soft material is some kind of hard silicone or maybe that's what they call TPA(haven't yet figured out what that is). It has a rubbery touch and makes the otherwise slippery S3 a lot saver to hold but it's not so much that you'll have problems slipping it in your pant pockets.
The kickstand only allows for landscape mode and looks rather flimsy but it's not. It stays in place when closed and has no problem holding the S3 when in use.
Trident Kraken. You can throw your phone like a football across concrete and It wouldn't damage your phone. Plus its has a kickstand and different color choices.
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias=aps&field-keywords=trident+kraken+S3
I'm probably going to order one of these to try out. Inexpensive as can be and gets good reviews.

I've been looking at that one, though it's a little chunky and kind of on the "busy" side. In terms of protection, it does look to be one of the best sporting a kickstand.

You're probably talking about the Fosmon/GreatShield Hybrid (I've seen them branded either way). It's in the list I've added to my OP
About the Tomaxx Silikon TPU you've linked:
Tomaxx is probably only the name of the ebay seller. You can get that case everywhere, don't have to order from a german seller, when you are in the US.

Oh yeah your right. I didn't know that was manufactured by fosmon. They make so many products, and for the price, the quality is excellent.

if you want serious and TESTED protection and lots of color options but NOT SLIM trust me. get a case-ology impact case.
http://www.case-ology.com/shop-by-d...ices=251&limit=all&manufacturer=8&price=10-20
you can get them on ebay too watch for fakes
I have involuntarily TESTED these cases (SII and SIII) and they are truly protective. never a scratch on the phone whether I crunched it in the hatch of the minivan (ouch) or tossed it 15ft into the street when some wasps decided to teach me the error of my ways as I tried to photograph them
I avoided the stingers and learned my lesson. get a zoom lens hehe
I have the orange and blue one. $12.95 shipped. you can't beat it. they have TWO STYLES for the S3 so watch it. one has a oval around the camera one has an oval with a little "cut out" (you will see what I mean) because if you don't see the exact color combo you want you can buy 2 and mix and match parts I had to do that to get the same blue orange with my S2. so make sure the two you order if you do this are the same style.
you want the "heavy duty hard" cases with the 6 little "curves" on the back like this

its the only case I will use on a day to day basis because I DO NOT have $400 to replace this phone!!
I have one well over 18 months old. NO DEGRADATION AT ALL. the silicon has not gotten loose or sloppy. here is my S2 with the case that's been on it for over 1.5 years.
sadly the blue for the S3 is much much darker. (I prefer lighter brighter colors) so once I have more cash going to order a couple other blue ones and hope one of them is a "lighter" blue. (the S3 case is WAY darker than the picture shows a dark NAVY)

I read your post in the other thread with interest. As I understand it, you combined 2 different cases together (Blue and White and Orange and White) to make your Blue and Orange combo. Unique!
There does seem to be quite a few imitations of this particular style. The Fosmon and GreatShield models mentioned above appear to be virtually the same except for the branding. Either way, all reports of these models appear to be pretty favorable!
Cruzerlite spi (style) is the one you want. I have bought many of them (iPhone, galaxy s2, galaxy s3) and am satisfied with all of them. Grippy, slim, and kickstand works great.
You can get them cheaper on eBay

Excellent choice here ^^
I have purchased a ton of cases, this one is one of my favorites.
I ended up going with the Otterbox Defender when on the job,
and the Seidio Surface case when off work.
If I had to have the same case on all the time, and had to pick only one... it would be one of the Fosmon you link to.
Hopefully this information would be helpful for anyone who's in search for perfect case.
Yesterday I bought this case for about 20 $.
http://www.mobili.lt/lt/aksesuarai/samsung/811263.html
It seems that the case is almost perfect for me. I was searching for very slim profile case, but with the protection for the whole bezel. Previously I had been using Seidio Surface, but it's still too bulky compared to Samsung's.
The good about Samsung Protective Cover+:
- Very slim profile
- Looks like phone without the case
- Plastic on back, TPU on sides
- Same plastic as original Samsung backplate
- Fits perfectly with 3D curved screen protectors (I use Realook 3D curved film)
The bad:
- Gets greasy very easily
- Attracts dust very easily
Here some pictures (had been taking with my SGS1):

Hey, as I seen on pictures, Acase gives good protection as it is dual layer case.
This original Samsung cover+ visualy could be compared to UAG case (except that military pattern on back). It's back are very hard plastic, corners made from hard tpu material. Overall I think it should provide good protection.
My only concern is the screen, but for this I ordered Glasszone tempered glass screen protector.
Hopefully this would be my last money spend on my S3

I own a brown S3 and it was difficult to find the cover in that colour (impossible in Belgium) actualy found on Amazon UK.
Good cover but no protection on the sides, not cheap but samsung quality and it fit without any problem with my Oso dashmount.
Found nothing better if you like to protect the screen and not bulky.

Guys, please give us your feedback on the case when it gets there.
Anybody ordered the new samsung original protective Cover plus in dark blue? Does the color really match the pebble blue phone?
Just received my white one, and aesthetically speaking, this is the best case available for the white GS3. It is very striking. I'll do a very brief, early review for now:
The case is a combination of hard plastic for the white back and matted TPU for the gray sides. What's hard to see from the pictures is the texturized plastic on the back. This gives it more grippiness and makes it less likely to slip from your hands. The matted TPU on the sides is the slippiest part of the case, which holds minor concern. My old diztronic had glossy, easily gripped sides with a slippery matte back, almost the direct opposite of this official Samsung cover. In time I'll be able to determine which company had the right idea.
This case is absolutely beautiful and stays true to the design of the GS3. If someone saw me using this, they might think I'm not using a case at all. It is very low profile but still provides ample protection. The lip of the case does protrude on the front, making it safe to set screen-down on surfaces. The lip protrusion differs per side; it seems to protrude more on the top and bottom than it does on the left/right sides. It is important to note that the protrusion on the left/right sides does seem rather shallow, but this lends to the case's low profile. This case stretches ever-so-slightly near the power button and volume rocker, barely exposing the shiny trim on the phone where its not otherwise present. This isn't a huge issue, but may be for some perfectionists.
One major area of concern is the power button. It is extremely easy to activate with this case on and I would not be surprised if it activated in my pocket. Even pressing in the lip part of the case near the power button will trigger it. However, I feel this problem isn't as bad as a stiff/hard to press power button. I suspect after minor modification the button can perform as expected.
There are too many good things about this case for me not to be recommending it. I have been searching for a case to go with my white GS3 ever since it came out and I now feel that search is over. After some time of using it I'll update my review or start a new thread. I'll post some pictures here in a bit.
Pros:
- Best looking case I've seen for a white GS3
- Offers good protection around the entire device along with a front lip
- Texturized back makes it easier to grip
Cons:
- Power button is too easily activated
- Front lip may be to shallow for some

Thanks for the also detailed review. I just ordered the dark blue one, I hope it matches the pebble blue phone. I have a black acase supperlegera pro case, with dual layer, and while providing much protection, it doesn't look to match the phone.
Can you please post some pictures?

I got mine today also. Same comments as above.
If you like a TPU case then you will really like this. I have plenty of thick cases and wanted a thin one that looked great. It's defintely a case that will help scratches and not drops. All thin cases are the same in this area. This one just looks the best.

I used a TPU case for quite some time and I felt it helped immensely when dropped. I even casually tossed my device onto concrete to show my friend that a TPU case is plenty for drop protection.
I feel like this case integrates better with the device but has slightly less impact absorption and drop protection. Its a trade-off for sure, but I find this is the best balance between protection and aesthetics. Samsung also makes an ultra thin case which is what I like to call a 'condom-case' which will only protect against scratches without any impact absorption. This case does offer substantially more drop protection than those, but still slightly less than a diztronic TPU case.
Also, I suck at taking pictures. I'm still trying to get some good shots to upload!

I have 4 "condom cases" (great name and accurate, BTW) and they do offer a tad bit of impact protection. I've got out of my car multiple times forgetting my phone on my lap. It bounces off a black top driveway. Also dropped it from about 5 feet high onto concrete. Scratches the hell out of the case (looks like a dog chew toy) but phone is perfect.
I'm buying this in white been eyeing it for awhile. Didn't realize the back was plastic until this thread.

I have a TPU case, the boxwave duosuit, along with the acase supperlegera pro that I am using now but I prefer the acase dual layer one, it does add much more bulk but I believe I am much more protected in case of a fall (wwhich happened once, with no damage done). I ordered this one because it's blue, much more good looking. Let's hope I still feel protected.
Since Ballistic has no plans on making a case for the G, after perusing the net I found this: http://www.tridentcase.com/shop-products/motorola-moto-g/aegis-case-motorola-moto-g.aspx
It's a 2 piece Ballistic-like case for those that want ultimate drop protection. It says $34.95 on the website, but I found it on ebay for $26.95 with free shipping. http://www.ebay.com/itm/for-Motorol...t=US_Cell_Phone_PDA_Cases&hash=item51b7f5ab8b but only for US buyers. Shipping to other countries will be a little bit more.
They say it's been drop tested 26 times from 4ft. onto concrete. My kind of case! And even has covers for the ports to keep dust and dirt out. I'm definitely buying one since Ballistic doesn't think it's worth making a case for one of the hottest selling phones.

Hmm, I may have to try out this case, too--I'm noticing some quirks with my OtterBox Commuter that may be solved with the Aegis' design. Based on the screen protectors provided with other Aegis models, it may also be a better cut than the cheap/lazy job OtterBox did.
To add to what twister99403 said, the Commuter is like the Aegis and the screen protector is optional; the Defender seems closer to Trident's Kraken A.M.S. series with its built-in screen protector.

Yeah, people have said that the built in screen protector takes away from touch response in some cases. I'll stick with the self-applicable screen protectors, as I've never had a problem with them.
I really, really, really liked my Ballistic SG case I had for my Samsung Infuse. I could literally throw it up in the air 15ft. and land on concrete without even worrying about it. I used to do that just to show people how great the case was.
Oh well, but thankfully it looks like the Trident case will be a decent replacement for the ballistic. I value protection over style any day, but it doesn't hurt that I like the way the case looks too. It seems most of the people who care about style first are probably under 25yrs. old, and possibly still live with mommy and daddy. My phone is a tool first and foremost, and I need to protect it, since I don't believe in buying a new phone every time I drop it.

I've heard of similar problems with built-in screen protectors, and that is why I don't own the OtterBox Defender.
While the Commuter doesn't have a built-in screen protector, the self-applicable one they include with the case doesn't cover the entire screen; it leaves the 1cm above the display exposed. They didn't bother to cut out even a hole or a section of the protector for the speaker/sensors/etc.--they just lopped that whole side off. I hope that Trident didn't make the same mistake with theirs.
The outer shell of the Aegis case also seems better at minimizing the dust that will seep under the silicone layer, which is something the Commuter doesn't do very well. The lanyard loop is also a nice touch; I'll be able to reattach my retractable key holder to protect it from even more falls.
While I can't say if the Aegis can stand its ground against a Ballistic SG case, it should offer enough protection. Pickings seem to be slim for heavy-duty cases that don't have built-in protectors (for now, at least). I'm more function over form too, especially since the Moto G doesn't fit in my pocket.

I got one one of these (grey/black) Friday and it does add considerable bulk. More than I thought it would. The trade off is, it would seem to provide a lot of protection. I wouldn't be overly worried if I dropped the phone on concrete with this case. I also find it more comfortable to hold the the bare phone since I have somewhat large hands and it just fits better than the rather svelte Moto G.
So I finally gave in and got this case in blue. It looks great but the back is a bit slippery. It also adds some weight but in a good way. I was previously using the official flip shell and while it looks great (grip is really good), it doesn't offer any protection. This trident case really protects my phone from the eventual drop.

Yeah, I love mine. I'm also eventually going to drop mine, and I'm going to be glad I had this case. I would easily trust this case protecting my phone from a 4-5 ft. drop onto concrete.
I still think Ballistic makes the best cases, but since they don't make one for the G, I thought the Trident would be a good alternative.

Right on. Only tidbit is the amount of dust the rubber collects. By the way, has anyone used the screen protector included with this case?

I also put the Trident blue on my phone. I was always nervous picking up my Moto G or removing it from my pocket. I have large (and clumsy) hands and I never felt like I had a good grip on the phone. The Trident case solved all that and it feels very secure in my hand.

This is a Review of Urban Armor Gear (UAG) cases for Samsung Galaxy Note 4.
In this review I'm going to look at Scout/Black version, available directly http://www.urbanarmorgear.com/products/galaxy-note-4-case-black or from Amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/URBAN-ARMOR-GEAR-Samsung-Galaxy/dp/B00O3AE982/ and
Maverick/Clear version: http://www.urbanarmorgear.com/products/galaxy-note-4-case-clear or from Amazon:

For what it worth, I've tested and shared with you A TON of reviews of different smartphone cases, and always try to be unbiased in my write ups. But the truth of the matter, at the end of the day I'm still coming back to and use most of the time UAG cases on all of our phones. Of course it's a matter of a personal preference, but for me UAG cases represent a perfect blend of protection without adding a bulk and a practical style without being too flashy. Smartphones don't come cheap these days, either if you are paying full price or even on a contract. If you factor in a trend of regular smartphones approaching phablet size territory, they are also not as easy to handle in your hands or in and out of the pocket. Therefore, I consider a good case to be a wise investment to protect your phone from accidental drops and scratches, despite how tough you think they build or the promises of next gen Gorilla glass you hear about.
So what makes UAG cases so special? Besides meeting Military Standards drop test, I like their idea of composite design where they fuse a hard PC outer shell with a soft impact resistant honeycomb pattern inner shell forming a single piece case. There are a number of 2-piece cases with inner soft sleeve and outer hard shell to hold it together, but sometime I don't feel like dealing with 2 separate pieces of assembly where UAG lightweight design takes care of that. But I do have to comment that in comparison to all of my previously reviewed UAG cases for Note 2, Note 3, Galaxy S4, and Galaxy S5 - I found Note 4 case fitment to be tighter where you need to apply extra force, starting at the corners, to get the phone out. For those who are constantly switching your batteries and need a quick removal of the case, you will probably get a bit frustrated and can find UAG case for Note 4 to be not your cup of tea. I confirmed with both Black and Clear version of the case, and it was equally a bit on a tighter side. For me personally it's not a show stopper and actually gives an extra peace of mind knowing that if I drop my phone it will not separate from the case, as well as less dirt and dust gets under the case cover.
As I previously mentioned, the outside of the case is made out of a hard PC material, but it feels very comfortable and secure in your hand due to a soft textured rubber grip areas located symmetrically on the sides of the case. Furthermore, the top and the bottom of the phone is covered in rubber bumpers with reinforced corners and a rubber bumper going around the front edge of the display to allow you placing Note 4 face down without touching the screen. This bumper also has enough depth to accommodate any film screen protector or a typical tempered glass one. And speaking for screen protector, UAG included one as part of the accessories, along with a cleaning cloth. It's a nice bonus to have to protect your screen from scratches or if you are researching to get tempered glass protector. Due to a nature of Note 4 slopped down edges, the included screen protector provides just enough coverage for the visible flat area of the display.
Though protection is important, case also needs to keep your phone fully functional. Starting with power and volume up/down buttons, those are covered for protection, easy to push thanks to a clever side cutout, and have a nice hardware-like design/texture to easy locate them just by sliding your finger. Even so buttons are easy to push, you still get a nice tactile response. At the top, you get very generous cutouts for all the ports including headphone opening to accommodate even oversized plugs. At the bottom, micro usb opening is also VERY generous to accommodate even extra large plugs. S-pen opening is wide enough to access it even with your thumb, and it still has a good corner protection around that area. When it comes to both mic openings at the bottom, I'm happy to report UAG case accommodates even my Verizon Note 4 where as many of you aware the left mic is shifted in comparison to every other Note 4. The speaker opening on the back is precise, and camera/flash cluster has one common opening with a black inner rubber trim to deflect flash reflection and to provide an easy access to a sensor next to the flash. Furthermore, you have 4 scratch resistant skid pads in the corners on the back to keep phone leveled and to prevent sliding when placed on the back, even on a slippery glass surface.
The case comes in 5 different colors, and hopefully I will be able to get other colors for review so I can show you all the colors on my white Note 4. The colors are Navigator (white), Scout (black), Aero (blue), Rust (orange), and Maverick (clear). Solid colors are not just your basic common colors; they have a unique color shade and a tough scratch resistant finish. I used my white Navigator with Note 2 for almost two years and it still looks like brand new with exactly the same color shade. It's true I used to be a fan of white color cases, until... I saw Maverick and put it on my Note 4 for the first time. This is a case that's going to stay permanently on my phone! It has a slightly different design since in order to keep the back transparent there is no soft inner lining on the back, while UAG still used a honeycomb pattern etched into the hard shell for inner impact resistant layer. The transparent effect is really cool and gives the back of the phone a unique 3D look.
Overall, UAG always been my highly recommended case and still is for Note 4. Even with a tighter fit which can be a hassle if you are one of those road warriors who swaps their battery in the middle of the day, I still find it adequate to provide an excellent protection for my $700 Note 4 and to showcase my phone in style without adding too much bulk. As a matter of fact, when I put my Note 4 next to Note 2, both wearing UAG case, I found Note 4 overall to be thinner, slimmer, and just a tiny bit longer. Also, for those who point out other similar looking single piece cases that imitate UAG industrial design style - keep in mind that you can imitate the look, but you can't imitate the build and the material quality. That will become very apparent when those look-a-like cases start fading out or end up with scratches or separated layers after the drop. As a mentioned above, I have been using my UAG cases for years and they still look like new.

Did you notice any scratches or scuffs on the shiny chamfered edges after removing the phone from the case?
I believe the white Navigator would also look sharp on the white Note 4.
I have the maverick on my note 4 black version. I have to say that the maverick looks better on the white Note. Very nice review.

Didn't notice any scratches. I also think after awhile of break in, the case might loosen up a bit. I guess the next month will be busy with case reviews so I will be taking it on and off a lot, but after that - Maverick is stay on permanently. Hopefully will get Navigator for review and update pics.

Do you have a picture to share? Wondering if black Note 4 will look cool with Maverick once battery cover is removed. Though I'm not a big fan of it because dust will make it's way under the case, I think it will look sick on a black N4 with clear case and no battery cover.
Thanks so much for the reviews and detailed pics! I threw down an order at Amazon today and almost grabbed the SUPCASE w/ holster, just so that I'd have some protection already for when I get my N4 (next week? a bit after?... ), then planning on getting a super primo case & a quality tempered glass screen saver.... I've always dug UAG cases, but have never had one, I'd guess that most of my phone's have been covered by Seidio's. However, I ditched it a while ago, as the lack of cover on the top and bottom bezel (let alone port covers, which I'm pretty big on), and the Surface Flip I had for my N3 was rather poorly planned re: the kickstand placement.
Anyway, UAG should toss you some commission, I'm sold! I'm also very curious how the black N4 looks in the clear Maverick; the white looks fan-freaking-tastic! To the degree that I would consider, the practically unheard of move of, going back from black, strictly to rock that case! Perhaps a pic will be posted to compare
One question for the UAG aficionados: I don't recall if they all have built-in screen protectors, but how are the screen protectors on the cases that have them? Are they high quality, or would you all recommend replacing them? I was checking out that one that they sell at T-mobile (can't recall the brand... the one that has the "laminator" installation thing) and thought that one looks pretty nice; at least the likelihood of a perfect installation would be higher. I'd like to (well, more than "like to", this is a necessity as far as I'm concerned) walk out of the store with my new phone fully protected, would just ordering the UAG case by itself be sufficient, or should I also include a screen protector?
Thanks again man for sharing your thoughts / observations and all of those detailed pics! :good:

The one that comes with the UAG case is decent.
You can see the black Note 4 in the clear Maverick case here:

You will have to click the links though.
Excellent review, made me have no regrets with my purchase of the UAG case this afternoon. It is on the pricey side but I am paying for peace of mind and expect any problems with my case to be taken care of by UAG since they do make a premium on these cases.
I do have a potential regret that I did not get the Maverick over the Scout but time will tell...
Here's what is like to know. Can you still put the phone in your pocket with this case on it? If not I think I'd rather order one of the cases that come with a holster.

From my experience, shorts with slanted pockets is no problem. Jeans with straight pockets can be a bit of a hassle (more because of the size of the phone than the case). The plastic on the case is fairly hard and isn't sticky like silicone so it slides out of the pocket well, but in the case of straight pockets it also makes the phone itself harder to grasp and yank out.
My only complaints about the UAG case are the fake torx heads (this one really bothers me) and the volume rocker buttons are a tad stiff. The fitment, however, is excellent.
Also worth noting: The difference in durometer between the "hard" outter and "soft" inner is not large. The "soft" is still pretty rigid.
As always, fantastic review, my friend :good:. I really like the look of the Maverick. I may consider buying it. UAG definitely are top notch with their quality. I had them for my Note 2 and 3 as you remember. I've dropped my phone multiple times in the UAG and it was protected each and every time. Those of you considering it vs other similar tough cases...it really is a no brainer in terms of quality/durability/size.
@vectron, have you found a good screen protector yet? The other two I tried had halos, and I haven't yet opened up my SuperShieldz one yet. I might do that tomorrow. Thanks, Alex!

You guys crack me up No commission from UAG, but I will get the rest of the colors sent to me for review and post pictures with other colors! For those who are not familiar with my review work on XDA (and also AndroidForums and Head-fi), I work with a lot of manufacturers and periodically get review samples. You can see a complete list of all of my reviews if you follow a link in my sig. It's one of those hobbies that sometime feels like a full time job
Regarding screen protectors, obviously we have seen a lot of problems with tempered glass ones already released. One that hasn't been mentioned yet is from Zerolemon guys. I received a review sample yesterday and hopefully will be able to install it and let you know about it in a few days. iSmooth is sending me their film protector for review, so I want to try it first before tempered glass.
Did you ever get the white UAG case in? Would love to see what it looks on the white Note 4.
That clear case definitely has a wow factor to it unlike any other case I've seen.

Mine will be here Thursday. Can't wait.
On my second UAG both white on white Note 4 and S5 . Always had otterbox commuter before, but I'm sold. Screenprotector included is really okay too. Good product and free worldwide shipping is a plus too
I got the Aero, blue, yes it is a tight fit but I wont be taking it on and off constantly.
So long as it DOES NOT SCRATCH the polished bezel when I take it on/ off or over time and it keeps general dirt/grit from getting inside I will be quite happy with it.
Main reason I bought it was the slim design and for the Milspec shock protection cause at some point it will get dropped.
Also Most of the car holders will not hold a phone in a case wider than 85mm or 3.4"
The Note 4 in the case is 157 x 83 x 12mm.
So hopefully it will fit in the exomount CD slot holder I have chosen.
Trying to avoid anything with a suction cup or magnets or that needs to be drilled or adhesive'd to the car.
Even the Exomount type sticky silicone suction cups many swear by but others reckon they will not adhere to the dash as advertised.
Here are some reviews. there are plenty of youtube reviews too-
