I have an Xperia Play and I was wondering, is there any update.zip or something available to change the look of SE's ROM into Vanilla Android?
The launcher I can change myself but I don't like the rest of the UI

but remember , if you change your launcher , u can't use mediascape and multimedia (( very nice )) widget anymore .

The problem is that I want all the battery, signal icons to be just like 2.3.4 Gingerbread and not Sony Ericsson's.

Where can i download the stock 2.2 Defy home launcher? I will flash CM7 or any 2.3 Defy+ ROM flash, but this ROMs dont have this home, and I like this home.

i dont remember the name now but there is a launcher that lets you choose wich one you want (Blur, Sense, etc) also in Market you have themes for a couple of launchers that comes very close to the motoblur home.

I have tried some of the Rom`s here available for my Xperia ARC (LT15), and the best is JJHybrid Rom.
I have DoomKernel (1,6GHz version) , JJHybrid Rom and the latest GAPS. Everithing runs very smooth, batery drain is very low, the best ROM/Kernel ever. The only problem i have for now (i`m testing it for 3 day now) is the lack of theme manger apk, so i cannot change the theme. I have tried using CM7 and CM9 theme manager apk`s from other Rom`s but no succes. Does anyone has any ideea on hou to get theme manager working on this release?
P.S. : I`m new to this site and i do not have the 10 necesary post, necesary to be able to reply directly on the ROM thread. So please excuse me if if this question is missplaced.
P.S. : I have also searched the forum and have not found anything related to this problem.
Trebuchet Launcher does not support themes. This is why you don't have a theme chooser. If you want themes, get a Launcher that supports themes (ADW, for exmaple, or MIUI Home)

If it is aosp based rom... U get heaps of themes on Google play... If u r running sense based rom. Then check apps and theme section.... Every rom got their individual theme support..
For asop based rom.. Install the theme app like usual apps from Google play store.. U gta install it via theme engine..
For sense based... They have ota support like viper x rom or install it via recovery..

And if you decide to flash a theme, make a nandroid backup before. When it does not work somehow you can easily restore !
One thing: If you are still on Stock ROM, most of the themes here will not work because Stock is odexed and the themes are made for deodexed CustomROMs.
The Apps you downloaded from PlayStore will download automatically again when you flash a CustomROM and tick "save my device with google" (dont know exactly what this point is called when setting the device up, because here it´s called "Gerät über Google sichern" )
The same for contacts/calendar, if you sync them via google, they will be synced with the new ROM too.

If you want to install new themes then you have a few options, you can continue to use the stock rom that you are on right now and look for some themes that will work with Sense; the playstore is the best place to get these themes to use in conjunction with the launchers, for example Go Launcher, Nova Launcher etc.
Your other option, which is more fun, is to install AOSP roms and then you will be able to install a lot of smexy custom *themes

isnt there just a thing like winterboard on ios where you can install themes from there, it would be so much easier than having to flash everytime.. , unless there is and i dont know about it ??
You can try out Apex Launcher. There are a lot of themes available and user frenly.

i want to know how to change stock theme for a stock Rom. i have see lots of tutorials on you tube but nothing was work for me.please if any person knows how to change then reply me i will be highly thankful for that.
and pls dont suggest me to flash a custom rom i flashed lots of custom rom but there is no rom available which is satisfied my need.iwant a smoothness in a rom but i cant find any ROM which provide me a total satisfaction.
i also try to modding a stock rom through android kitchen but that is also useless for me because i dont know how to theme the rom.
currently i used stock 4.3 leaked

Best option for u is to flash a launcher..my recommendation is Nova launcher or Themer beta launcher.
Themer beta launcher gives u tons of customization option
