Not really...
Sense - Some sense version of HTC sense. Has the stock UI, though its advanced in the more current version; 3.5 is the latest/ Each version offers improvements/features over the previous
AOSP- Android Open Source Project roms are light and fast, and don't have the heavy laggy sense UI on them. They over heavy customization and generally have bettery battery life and performance over sense. Though you lose the Sense integration of some things and apps, over using sense.
MIUI- AOSP rom, but its its own source, not built upon CM. has an Iphone aesthetic looks, but its android. No 4G on the rom, and it offers its own uniqueness you won't get in other roms; such as its lock screen customization.

they all have different advantages and disadvantages AOSP= Android Open Source Project basic google rom offers the opportunity to customize more to your liking offers different UI's like GO launcher and ADW
Sense is an interface laid over android more of an eye candy then anything else in my opinion.
MIUI Chinese iphone clone
The real answer to this question Now that you are rooted you are free to try out anything you want and make your own decision.

I tried all of the roms they got on XDA and the best is to stay with the sense. Personally that is the main reason I chose HTC android over other android devices.
Im running Radiance RC4 right now, and its been running smooth. it has a sense 3.5

You think so?
Well, seems like I've been way too much in the off topic section...
Mods are free to delete this, but until then, people are free to vote
For me Sense
perhaps it would've made sense to include a poll (see what I did there..?) but for what it's worth, I prefer AOSP

I agree with this, Sense rules
AOSP for me. I prefer the speed.
Sense for now; when android 2.4 come out, probably AOSP
Haven't been using custom roms for long but so far I'd definately vote for Sense.
Definitely AOSP, far more faster and cleaner UI.

AOSP fo' sho'!
Sense lasted about a week for me until it lost it's sheen. It's quite slow and bloated compared to other ROMs I've tried.
Sense is king of the hill here. Too much awesomeness under the hood to let it slide. It ain't all in the widgets and bling u know.
AOSP for me just bcoz of speed and clean interface....
For those voting sense and never tried AOSP their vote doesnt matter.
Question would be how many of them came back to sense after AOSP? That will be interesting. If you never tried both world its useless voting.
Hm yes where are the poll buttons I think there's a few threads like this gone by over the months - but Sense for me too

I have never got pissed and twitching to install aosp if I was using Sense due to the lack of some feature I needed at that moment, but did vice versa. So the real question is how you live with that lack of feature? Similar speed when using alternative launchers and lower battery efficiency seem like a tough tradeoff here.

Sorry If I might have sound like im against sense. Im not against it. Its about personal choice.
My only point was if you only tested sense you can not say sense is best.
For me I found AOSP better in terms of battery and I cant find any lack of feature compare to sense.. Can you mention any particular.
(I have used leedroid and insertcoin in sense and oxygen gingervillian and miui-xj in AOSP)
I prefer a clean AOSP!
BUT its more complicated to keep up to date and its not homogeneous!
So i stick to sense at the moment!
I just discovered Rooting and putting stuff on my Incredible , and I have noticed before that I've seen new Gingerbread software come out and Ice Cream and I'm still stuck on Android 2.2 .. any suggestions ? And how would I got about doing it ?
well, there are currently no leaks at all for Ice Cream so that is out of the question. For Gingerbread i would recommend CM7 at http://www.cyanogenmod.com/ it has gingerbread and is VERY fast and stable but, does not have sense. There are many threads here about flashing roms so i don't really feel like i need to go into that but look around and i guarantee you can find one.

The best one to flash is the one you like the most. Everything isn't for everybody. I did gingerbread for awhile now I'm on zroms. Its up to you there all good and the developers rock.

Well first decide if you like sense, which is basically the HTC interface of your stock ROM, or AOSP, which is the android interface the way google designed it. Then you can pick a corresponding rom. For example, SkyRaider Sense 4.0 is sense rom, and CM7 is AOSP.
SkyRaider Sense
CM7 Nightlies AOSP
As far as getting it done there are plenty of guides that can be found by searching for rooting and flashing roms. Also, most rom threads in these forums have instructions in the first post.
CyanogenMod 7 FTW!
If you decide on aosp salvage mod and evervolv are both excellent roms
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA App
i like skyraider and uber roms from joel.....both are nice and have sense wich is what i like. not into the asop roms since no sense
I recommend the new GB leak or gingersense remix... I'm a big sense ui fan though. AOSP definately CM7
If you want sense go for Uber Z. VERY STABLE ROM. If not, then go for CM7.
I use either Warm Z two point two or Skyraider 4.0 since both are very stable, fast, and solid battery life. I stick to warm z 90% of the time though. I like landscape. lol

CM7 Nightlies
Stable vs. Beta
There are a lot of Beta Roms running Gingerbread and various versions of HTC Sense.
CyanogenMod 7 is by far the most stable Gingerbread ROM I've see out there (although it's Vanilla so you won't see any HTC Sense going on).
The nice thing about ROMs is you can flash, flash, and flash some more.
I'll second Uber Z for Sense and CyanogenMod 7 for AOSP.
But, as Sharpe said, you can flash and flash to your heart's content. With these Sense 3.0 leaks, I've been flashing like a maniac and having a blast. And if a ROM doesn't work for me, I can just restore to my Nandroid backup and I'm back to where I started (CM7, in this case). ^.^
I'm rocking Carbonite v5. Awesome visuals, great battery life, and very fast.

miui = polished android. if you like miu you don't necessarily need to get an iphone... JUST CHANGE YOUR LAUNCHER! ITS THAT SIMPLE. I consider miui menu style, popup system, and customization leaps and bounds ahead of stock android look. also this thread won't do justice to the xda'ers who've had miui and that can really comment on this.. would be nice to see this thead in Android General.

why do you think the iphone is the most successful smartphone ever made. because iOS looks clean and ordinary folks like the eye candy! android has more features than ios but lacks in the aesthetic department.. where stock android lacks, miui succeeds. ICS is going in the right direction..
Its the most succesful smartphone because people stick with what they know, and most wouldn't know how to use android to its full potential to begin with.
I like the transparent dock of miui and go launcher

Im glad somebody asked this. I was wondering the same thing. I want to try one out, I just don't know which one has the least amount of bugs.
Both are good. I like CM better because it's more flexible and more along the lines of AOSP andriod. I would call it a roided out AOSP rom. With MIUI, once you add a launcher on top, besides the pulldown whats the point? If you want the iphone look then there are alternative's to miui like Espier which is more Iphone like than even miui (at least until apple sues the developer).

Right now for the Epic, CM7 development is a bit further along than Miui. I've been running CM since the 11th and it just keeps getting better with every new release.

same function but miui is better eye candy. one would be silly to think your only stuck with miui launcher and that any other launcher on top would hinder performance. same goes for cm7 which had adw integrated.

I have been flipping back and forth on my Nexus every day. I like how on Miui you can use the dialer from one theme, mms from another, pulldown bar and boot ani from another, etc but CM7 seems more refined development wise and it has plenty of good themes as well...and CM7 has 4g
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using xda premium
MIUI is more customizable, and it's basically like a Sense, MotoBlur, or TouchWiz made by Root Developers. That's the main reason I lean to it more then anything, but CM is just so stock and has everything but it has it so minimalistically, and that's why it's better. Both have their pros and cons, no one ROM is perfect, but both are amazing.

As for the TTC, is that going to be noticeably slow with sense on it? thanks!

As for cm7 it's my personal favorite when I feel the need for aosp. It's up to you. But if I had to choose for you I would say TTC. it gives you all the beauty of sense but has great battery life and speed with a huge collection of themes, tweaks and mods

Basically turns your Evo into a tablet.

you should flash miui its the smoothest IV been on, cm 7.2. synergy roms are godly for a sence type warm two point three is smooth as well. if your in to gaming try cm 7.2 with snapturbo 7.6 its the highest benchmark you can get
I am still pretty new to Roms but I love MikG 3.0 that I just installed. It is stable and has good options and a few nice themes people have made. I also previously used Warm 2.2 which was pretty awesome. There is a Warm 2.3 which was nice but didn't have 4G connectivity.
Evervolv ICS
If you're interested in ICS, I'd recommend Evervolv ICS, as the devs in charge are constantly pioneering new features and additions to their ROM. As of February 19, 2012, you can find the latest version of Evervolv ICS here.
