What do you think? if so what would be the expected mah?
I'd love them to, but I doubt it :/ If they do however, I will be pre-ordering it straight away
Agreed just got a Nexus and the battery life is half that of my iPhone. My iPhones screen would be at max and the Nexus at the minimum.
If they release a 2500-ish battery I will get it

I don't think they will. Personally, I was disappointed in their decision to use such a small extended battery. I know allot of people don't want to lose the slimness. Those people should stick to the stock battery. I wish it was close to 3000 mah.
I guess Samsung decided more people would buy the battery based on slimness than would not buy because of mah rating.

Well we got the Seidio extended battery. Not exactly Samsung but I had good experience with their batteries. My only complaint about the battery is the back cover. Not a big fan of the color. Should have made it the color of the phone
Samsung wont make a bigger one. they did same thing for the galaxy S2.
Im waiting for the mugen one. I had that on my SG S2 and it was a beast
I hope Samsung or somebody else does. The siedo is huge and kinda ugly. Personally I would like around 2500mah -3000mah depending on how huge it is. Including NFC would be a huge plus too.

Doubt it as it'd ruin the lines of the phone. The official 2000mah extended battery fits nicely and the cover just makes the phone feel better in the hand

i dont think they would but it would be very nice to see if they do....

All depends on your usage of the phone. It is only an extra 250 mAh, so if you are a heavy user, you may get an hour or two out, medium user a couple of hours and light user a few more!
I find it is easy to carry around a spare cheap eBay battery just in case you need it!
as long as it doesnt look like this:
http://www.fonearena.com/blog/22046/samsung-power-pack-ebb-u10-for-galaxy-s-is-out.html
Novel idea there, although it looks FUGLY!!
I'm not gonna lie. I'm tempted to get the Seidio one since I'm a really heavy user, especially during the night shift with music and such. But idk. I'm thinking about buying an extra extended battery since Verizon still has them for half off or getting the huge Seidio one. I don't use NFC so that doesn't really matter. What do you guys think?
By the way, sorry if I like jacked your thread with this question

Most people are going to tell you use the Samsung because it looks better...personally, looks don't matter to me, so if you feel you need the extra juice the seido is the best option at the moment. The thing keeping me from the seido is NFC and the price. I just went with the samsung. You can buy 2 of them for less than the price of the seido.

why not just use the Mugen 2000 mAh battery?
i only trust OEM batteries when it comes to Extended
besides 2000 - 1850 = 150 mAh gain, not really worth the upgrade
however 2100 - 1850 = 250 mAh gain, that is at least a decent quater pound over the original
it should at least give you another hour with 250 mAh
but 150 wont even last you 30min
according to the mAh consumption history of my phone, it averages around 213 to 555 mAh when in use, game or web surfing
iddle is 2 mAh

Here's why...
About the same price, OEM it is.
OEM Sammy has higher capacity, which is usually what they state. 3rd party batteries are generous with their numbers and tend to lie.
NFC

Agreed. OEM or not, it doesn't fit. I could rig a laptop battery up to my phone, that doesn't mean it's better. "but all you have to do is leave the battery door off and duct tape it to the back..." Um....no thanks. I don't care what kind of battery it is, if it doesn't fit, it's a waste of time.
Here's the extended Galaxy Nexus battery in my SGS2.
Can't tell you the battery life yet, gimme a day or two.
I'm not using the back cover, the Seidio Active takes care of it. Not a big deal since the case never comes off anyway.
peel off the label on the battery and take a Dremel to the back cover to make space. The case is thin, but a few thousands of an inch shouldnt hurt. you could possibly have the battery case down too if you're brave.
that case looks a touch heavy, how does it feel? whats the front look like?

i'm sure you can at least keep the better half of the batter door clicked in
while leaving only the bottom part un-hooked
and let the phone case do the rest of the job at keeping the batter in place

It seems to give about an hour more roughly. I did a little over 15hrs the other day (auto sync, BT, 4G, yadayada). I usually finish with about 14 normally.
YMMV, you may or may not see any difference.
If money is tight, don't buy it. I'm sure most people aren't going to go bonkers over that one hour.

i don't trust oversized. Also the Gnex requires that the battery has a NFC chip on it to be able to use the Gnex's NFC function
what's the capacity on the standard battery packs? That 2.3ah one you linked to does not look much bigger, do you also need a new back cover for that one?

Only $5.99 USD?
That's too good to be true ... most probably fake, I meant it contain less than 2300 mAH.
And it is for "Galaxy Nexus prime" ... bwahahaha ... Yeah, right!
Also, it does not look to have NFC.
I bought this one: http://www.ebay.ca/itm/110797773716#ht_4338wt_905
It has NFC and it is (slightly) higher capacity. The back cover fits perfectly, and is almost identical to the CDMA GN back cover. Makes the device just a tad less concave near the bottom. Looks and fees better in my opinion.
I've ordered one of the 3,800 ones, I'll post a review when I get it!
Both the cheap ones do seem a bit too good to be true, but for the price of the so called 3800mah one I might try it and test it out.

Been thinking about this. I hate putting on huge battery packs so the 2000mAh was appealing. but $50 for such a small bump is hard to justify for me, especially considering I have no plans to get a desk charger and swap batteries.

I was thinking the same thing, but I went for it anyway. I bought it so I wouldn't have to swap batteries. The 2000mah battery has about 15% more capacity, so if you get say 12 hours on the regular battery, you should get 13.7 hours. If you get 18 hours, you should get 20.6 hours. As well, I find my GN feels much better in my hand with the extended battery: it is slightly heavier and less concave in the back (i.e., it looks like an LTE GN).

Here's my thread on the 3,800 mAh battery
I found that there are 3500+ mAh batteries for the Nexus, but I'm trying to figure out which one. A lot of them have *extremely* ugly covers. I have a otter box, and would like to try to keep it compatible with common cases. It's not 100% necessarily important, but would be nice.
What are you suggestions on batteries? I found a few on Amazon, ranging from $10 to $60. I have verizon extended already. It sucks.
You're probably not gonna find anything in the slim extended department. Every single 3800 mAh battery is huge.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA
You can get batteries for $10? Do they last? Or do you get what you pay for?
I hear they sell tanks at the local swap meet.

Guarantee the $10 3800mAh battery will give you about the same life as the stock battery lol.
I have no clue if they are any good. I'm not worried about the case, really, I just want to last at work:

Hey guys,
I finally got my hands on the Mugen power 4000 mAh extended battery, which I know a lot of you are eager to check out! Within the package you'll receive the battery and the back cover. The back cover fits great and looks fantastic, the textured coating is comfortable and grippy. It includes a kickstand which is loose and pretty terrible to be honest. As for the battery performance, watch the video below for full info:
Thanks for the video. It was well done, I enjoyed watching it.
How many cycles have you gone through? I'm wondering if the lackluster performance was due to the battery not bring broken it.
I have the Hyperion battery. If I were to spend a premium on an extended, I think I would rather get the Seidio over the Mugen. No crappy kickstand and the Seidio also looks like it fits in the hand better.

Thanks for the kind words! I ran 4 cycles the day I received it plus another 3-4 when I was in New York City. I'm still going to keep using and going to run my test again after 20 cycles or so and see if that helps (and get back to you guys).
A buddy of mine has the Seidio, I like the soft touch coating but it feels cheap (for example, the Seidio logo scratches off SUPER easily). However, it's half the price, so you really can't compete with that.
Hope my video helped out!

It's over 4000 but honestly, why cant manufacturers do what motorolla made to RAZR? even Galaxy Note not use all space under the cover..
Great review! Thanks for posting. I too think its a bit on the expensive side considering the 3800 is like 30 dollars less. Mugen really seems to be asking a lot for something that is testing less than expected for a premium price. With that said, i do wonder how well the back door would fit on this particular case. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Aluminum-Me...976685?pt=PDA_Accessories&hash=item231a1d336d

Great review! I bought the cheap 3800mAh battery and it only lasted for about 5 hours and 15 minutes playing video with the screen on. I plan on running the 2100mAh battery to compare. I was wondering how this one was in comparison and now I know. I don't think it is worth $100 for that type of performance.
I loved the kickstand on my Momax 2700 battery for the Vibrant and that appealed to me on this one. Great to see before ordering one that it is so poorly made.
Thanks again for the great review.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I received the Mugen Power 4000 mah extended battery yesterday. I will report back on the results once the first charging cycle is complete.

I bought one of these and the Hyperion 3800 to test them out since me and the missus both have this phone. Read good and bad things about both, but most of the negatives seem to be from idiots who dont know how to put them through proper charge cycles.
Hoping they both turn out good, but for $20 each I wont complain too much if i get a lemon. Only annoying thing now is waiting for the mail redirection service since Amazon refused to ship to Australia!
I have this battery and the Seidio for my CDMA Sprint GNEX.

I have this battery and I'm quite satisfied with it. It has lasted me more than a day with casual web browsing, music, and videos (WatchESPN, TwitchTV, YouTube, etc.).
It has lasted me more than two work days too. The cover is fit perfectly on my phone. It gives the back of the phone more grip.
I also got the Trexcell TPU case. Clean look and the cut outs are perfect for the buttons and ports.
The extended battery/cover adds some bulk to the phone but not that much, IMHO.
Thats nice to hear I'm going to order one myself and the Trexell case hopefully sometime next week ill do a full video review.
