[Q] Theming MIUI 'New Email' notification - Desire HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi all,
Basically I'm messing around a bit with MIUI themes, mainly the status bar at the minute. Iv have a small annoying issue though. No matter what I do, my unread email notification (the little white one on status bar) will not change!
I use the miui built in email client (not gmail app), and have the icon called stat_notify_email.png in the com.android.systemui, com.google.android.gm, and com.android.email files (obv with in the res>drawable-hdpi folders)
Any ideas?
Cheer

http://img509.imageshack.us/img509/4192/ultimate8.jpg
I would prefer it if the bubbles showed on the home tabs/slider bar in there appropriate icon. but anyhelp is appreciate btw im on manilla 2.5
I have gotten the Text & Email bubbles working, now im working on the Call History / Missed Calls shouldnt they show under contacts? just like the text one does.
Me again. You need Max Manila 2.5 theme. This gives you the notification Icons and you can also choose to display the slider icons or to hide them.
The latest version is 2.6 and is available in post#4 . You will need to do some reading as to how to set the various options.

[Q]coloured notification bar icons for gmail, sms and missed calls?

I could remember there were some apps in the market for this, but this is a long time ago and the custom roms i used for my previous phone all had coloured notification bar icons.
Could anyone help me on this?

Help with UOT Kitchen - Notification Text Color

Hey Everyone,
I successfully used UOT Kitchen to change battery icon, status bar text color, change the default font on my phone, change pop-up colors, make my drop down notification black and semi-transparent.
However, the one thing that doesn't work is the text on the notification pull down bar is black which is of course unreadable on a black semi-transparent background.
I changed it in UOT Kitchen to Blue. Then I tried doing it over again and changed it to Orange. The end result is still black.
Any help would be appreciated.

Next time please post this questions in the Q/A area:
But from what you are saying the test for "ongoing" notifications are staying black right? like music and things of that nature??? that is because the texts is stored in there own apk. so if you want to change the color of the text you will need to take apart the apk for each app that uses the "ongoing" notification area.
I think I got it
First off, sorry for posting in wrong forum. Thanks for answering and not kicking me out! It won't happen again.
So basically, since the HTC Inc is supposed to have a white pull down notification, most apps make their text black and it would have to be changed in each app (text messaging, google voice texts, etc).
I did run the app Cache Cleaner which posts its results in the notification and they surprisingly showed up in the color (blue) that I had chosen in UOT. But nothing else has, so I guess I just need to change my background color to white or something that works with black text.
Thanks,

No worries on the kick. i dont flame.
The notifications are broken down into 2 groups. "ongoing" and "notification". If its a notification that is controlled by the framework-res.apk it will be themed from the UOT most market apk and gapps use the ongoing section so they are held within there respected apk. the only way around it is to do what you said. have a white bg or if you go and change each apk. sorry. :/
guys i used the UOT kitchen, could i replace the mod'd framework-res.apk by jus using the root explorer?? i mean paste it in the system folder den set permissions n then move it to the system/framework/ folder??
Had this issue to. Tried everything to change the text color with no luck. I finally gave up and settled for a transparent white pulldown. It dosent look to bad but is a bit of a contrast from my mostly black transparent theme.

[Q] Mildwild notification icon size

I feel like notification icons in MILDWILD ROMS (I tried almost all) for email and some else are too big, i checked icon in framework-res.apk, they seam like they are not displayed correctly. There should be more space between statusbar top and bottom borders and icon. Does anyone know how could it be fixed, or is that how it is intended?

Question Notification drawer icon color

Still new to OP11 and I noticed that the majority of icons in the notification drawer are white/grey. Only some of them honor the original app icon color.
For example, nine email and Gmail are both white.
Anyone know what's going on? Been searching through settings for an hour an nothing yet.
