Doubt about the correct firmware for LT15a. - Xperia Arc Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Can I install any firmware on LT15a, or has to be a firmware in the same region?
My new ARC (LT15a) now is 2.3.3 and 3.0.1.A.0.145...
I want 0.42 firmware. It can be from any region?
Thanks.

Yes, every region works.

Remove Branding

Hi I bought a Xperia Arc S yesterday.
The provider is "Orange" (Switzerland).
I now want to remove the branding from the software.
What is the best way to do. I just want to remove this branding.
Thanks & Regards

Unlocking BL has nothing to do with debranding, as far as I know...
Its true, you are rights.

Sorry for digging out this topic...
Just to clarify: I'll debrand an Arc S from Vodafone Germany. Just flashing with a generic firmware will do the job? After that I can root/flash/supercharge it like mine?
arc s:
LT18i 4.0.2.A.0.62 Generic World:http://ul.to/gsfx4w60
arc:
LT15i 4.0.2.A.0.62 Generic Global World : http://ul.to/nq33zniu
lt15a usa:
LT15a 4.0.2.A.0.62 Generic USA: http://uploaded.to/file/f58llc72
there you go,
just choose ne for your model, flash it and your ready to go
Ok, I'll take a .42 version cause of rooting it. After that ICS and so on.

cant ROOT 4.0.2.A.0.62 r800i FW .. why?

cant ROOT 4.0.2.A.0.62 r800i FW .. why?
is there any way to root it? thanks
I think after. 52 Sony made the firmware unrootable so you have to downgrade

Well if your bootloader is unlocked then just flash a custom kernel and be done with it they are all auto-root! That's assuming your bootloader is unlocked,, if not then .58 firmware is your best bet

Just flash this ftf with flashtool - http://ni.0a0.in/files/3432_kznsa/LT26i_6.1.A.2.55_SG Generic (1257-6921).zip
It works. I am from India and I can confirm that it works well. I am using a Vodafone sim.

I am on the same firmware, I wanted only baseband which is from Indian software update like .45. As my phone is not purchased from India the baseband is still on the foreign waves. I am no pro, but i guess that's the problem. I tried reflashing your firmware as well, but still no network. Last hope is to get a baseband only from .45 India update. Likle arc and arc s get basebands, I wish I could also get a baseband for my xperia s lt26i

S1 boot version and ftf

As i've flashed world generic ftf for JB, does it mean that my s1 boot version has changed including my baseband?

but my baseband surely did change no?
I'm getting 2G most of the time only on both .55 firmwares and .200 firmware which makes me guess that my baseband is changed. However is it possible for me to flash an ICS baseband on JB firmware?

I don't think the baseband got changed but I am not too sure about that! You can try flashing ICS baseband but at your own risk!

Looking for Xperia ZL C6503 stock firmware (Generic SG)

As above,
Does anyone have the version of stock firmware for C6503 (Generic SG)?
I currently have the RU/UK version of the phone and would like to flash the generic SG version on it.
Do I need to root the phone in order to flash it?

Mine is Malaysia c6502 without LTE.I also want SG c6503 firmware.I hope after flashed SG c6503 I get LTE support.

ZL 6502 version will never get LTE even u flash 6503/6 rom because 6502 dont have supported hardware. In setting yes u have the LTE but in reality u cant have it. Thats why the price differ between 6502 and 6503.
