You should install 'Quick boot' from the market. You need root access to use this app. You can also connect your phone to your PC and use ADB to reboot the phone in bootloader mode with the following adb command: adb reboot bootloader.
You mean the hboot menu? Press and hold back and power button, and when fastboot screen appears, press power button. Now you are in hboot.
You can install "ROM manager" , it can reboot into the Recovery(CWM)
Code:
adb reboot bootloader

As far as I know, there isn't any .exe file in an android operating system. And for your problem, you should do something like this:
1. If you're on Windows:
- make sure that you have the android sdk downloaded;
- make sure the drivers for HTC Desire are installed on your pc / laptop
- go to platform-tools, hold the SHIFT button from your keyboard pressed and, while holding it, press the right mouse button in that folder. The right click menu will appear, but having an extra option "Open Command Window Here" or something like that;
- connect your phone cable to your pc / laptop;
- plug the cable into your phone;
- in the command prompt window opened earlier write "adb shell reboot recovery" to go into recovery, "adb shell reboot" to simply reboot or "adb shell reboot bootloader" to boot into the bootloader;
2. If you're on Linux:
- open terminal;
- cd /to/the/android/sdk/path;
- cd /platform-tools;
- use the commands I wrote above, the ones including adb;
If your existing rom allows it, if you press and hold power button, choose restart, then you can get a mini menu with the option to boot into recovery. You can then use the recovery to flash the new rom.
Another option is 4ext recovery - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1408936
It will install a new recovery on your phone - but it is pretty cool. You can use the touchscreen to navigate rather than volume buttons (handy if your volume is stuffed) You can also use the app to launch the recovery.
I am also having a similar problem .I was trying to install superuser in a .zip file ,but now I have ended up in a boot loop ,I am not able to go to the boot menu .................
Can anybody help me.

Take the battery out, then boot in hboot (if your volume buttons are not working, press Power+Back button, then select Bootloader), then recovery and restore your backup (you should have done one) or reflash your rom.

Hello all,
My phone's got a wonky vol down button that works about 5% of the time. I've tried the regular power + vol down boot method about 20 times now, but it isn't happening for me.
Battery pull, factory reset, power + home button all failed (suggestions on Google). I've further tried typing su followed by reboot recovery in terminal emulator, nothing at all happens.
There's got to be some other way of forcing the phone to reboot into recovery, right? I think you can also install the Android SDK and force reboot recovery from that, but I'd rather leave that as the very last measure.
I'm running Android Revolution 7.0.3.
Many thanks!
You can use either cwm or 4ext to boot into recovery. There are also a few mods that let you have the 4way boot using the power button (long pressing). Don't know if android R has that mod.
Sent from a dream.
just install clockworkmod or 4ext touch recovery.
In the app you need to install the recovery itself and then you can boot into recovery right from the app.
I don't even use the Power + Volume buttons anymore for it. with 4ext even your touchscreen works in recovery!
Or Quick Boot - free app on play store.
And you can do it if you have adb on your PC from when you rooted, you don't need the full SDK. Depends which tool you used to root, but chances are it has adb.exe and the necessary dll files in that folder.
Just plug the phone in, open a command prompt and cd to the folder with adb.exe. Then type "adb reboot recovery" in the command window.
Quick Boot worked like a charm. Thanks a lot guys!
when i decide to change rom, after flashing kernel by fastboot and power on phone, I can't going to recovery by pressing volum down.
is there a command for fastboot to boot phone to recovery without pressing volum down?
Use adb i.e. adb reboot recovery
Many ways to do this...Easy wasy out,try an app like rom manager which gives u a direct recovery boot option,or u can use comand line prompts from ur PC ..or use terminal emulator..type in /system/bin/reboot recovery..

Forgot, you can only be connected to adb if the phone's active or in recovery. When it's rebooting are you repeatedly pressing the buttons or holding them?
Hi, I am having a simlar issue. I flashed the Lupus kernel and after i turned of my phone, I pressed the volume down button while i turned the phone on and once it loads it just goes into safe mode. Am i doing something wrong?
EDIT: I was holding the button down. Not pressing repeatedly. All good now. Thanks.

your OS? Win7 x64?
Hi amir143!
You could try installing x-Parts (a free application from the market).
Good luck.
I thinks it's kernel dependent..
try pressing Vol-down OR backward button several times when the LED lights OR the phone vibrate OR the logo glow from normal after powered-on.
I can't boot up my device it's have blink sleeping android error. (my device is ze551ml running WW_2.19.40.22 firmware and never ever ROOT!!! )
I tried hold power button and press volume up button but its doesn't work.
I also can't access to recovery mode too.
It's have the same blink error message and can't pass by hold power button and press volume up button.
Oh but i can access to fastboot page.
and my computer don't recognize my phone at all(i already install driver)
Before this problem happen I get in to recovery mode try to wipe cache but i miss press and i selected "apply update from adb"
and that time my phone doesn't connected with PC. I don't know what to do so I turn off my phone.
then I open recovery mode again and select wipe cache then I go out to take a bath.
I came back and see my phone is off so I boot it.
It's booting about 2-3 mins and nothing happen so i go to recovery mode again but this time they have problem like i explain before(blink error message that can't pass by hold power button and press volume up button)
So anyone have a solution for my problem. please I really need your help!
Sorry for my bad english
Hi,
I had this when I went to wipe my system cache and it failed. Your best bet, especially if you can't get into recovery is to fastboot flash the recovery again if you have an unlocked bootloader.
If you don't you'll want to unlcok the bootloader and follow the instructions for using ADB if you're new to it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/zenfone2/general/asus-zenfone-2-flashing-recovery-mode-t3096596

If you hold volume down and power, it should go to bootloader first, then you have your choices for recovery....Get it to the bootloader screen, then run the commands to unlock it...
Could you please tell me everything step by step on how to cure my phone?
I'm very noob.
okay thank you.
I can start it now
THANKS!!!!!!!
p.s. i use fastboot erase cache code

Glad you have it working...It seems that wiping the system cache can be problematic at times - Perhaps it's a bug.

Hey I'm having the same problem, how'd you get the computer to recognize that the phone was plugged in? My computer does not recognize that the phone is on when I have the flashing error screen, so ADB doesn't recognize that there is a device connected.
Hi,
I had the exact same problem, and I managed to boot up again thanks to you!
What I did :
Install ADB and Drivers
Boot my phone into Fastboot (Power+Volume Up at boot, keeping VolumeUp button pressed while booting). Don't go into any menu (do not select recovery or so). At this point your computer should recognize your Android phone when you plug it in through USB.
Open up a cmd with admin rights, navigate to adb install path by typing : cd C:\adb
Then type : fastboot erase cache
It should trigger an action on your device, and the prompt should display sth like "Cache successfully erased" (I don't remember exactly)
Finally type : fastboot reboot, press volume up while booting again, and access Recovery like usual!
Now you can try wiping your partition cache again.
Worked like a charm for me! Thanks a lot

Its very complicated. My T705's power button was damaged by water. And i flashed Stock MM rom with odin. It was fine after flashing, the tablet boot into the os properly, work very well in the os.
But then i want to wipe the cache and data after that, so i was using the code"adb reboot to recovery" to get into recovery mode because my power button was broken. (I thought it can be using home button to select in recovery mode)
But the nightmare is i can't select anything in recovery mode which requiring a power button. So i can't wipe the cache, also can't select the option to reboot my tablet...... I've tried to hold both the volume down and home key to go to the download mode menu, and select restart by holding volume down, but it go to recovery again even after removing the battery, i think it's because the adb command.
And the strangest thing is i can't use my volume up button in download mode menu, so sadly i can't flash the rom again,:crying: but the volume up is working well in recovery and in the os......
Is there anyway to prevent the tablet to boot into the recovery again? I'm quite sure it's not the problem when flashing MM rom, the problem should be the adb command makes my tablet boot into recovery until i change the boot setting in recovery mode.

Holding vol down + home key can boot to the download mode menu.
But the device will automatically turn on after inserting the battery, no need to press any button, but the device only boot into recovery after i use the adb boot into recovery command.

If that's the case that means the power button is stuck on or you wouldn't be able to power on or boot to Download mode.
All you need to do is flash the stock firmware or twrp and it will reboot back to the OS.
Hopefully I've got your fix:
When you insert the battery your device boots up, if so, insert the battery and press the correct key combo while the splash screen from logo.bin is showing to boot into the download mode.
After that flash TWRP latest version with Odin. Then when your phone again boots to recovery, chose Reboot -> System to boot Android.
---
If the above isn't applicable and you can start Android somehow, I will download either FlashFire or MobileOdin to flash another recovery/ROM.
