I have had exceptional battery life using BEASTMod.
Just my opinion

they are all good imo, im currently using gingersnap rom, has the faux kernel and i get over 20 hours of some what heavy use, and so it went with juggernaut, beast mod, and bombardier.
but the faux kernel has proved to be smoother and more efficient imo, perhaps slightly better battery.
hope i could help

I like Juggernaut + Bullet.
I am trying to make the most of my battery by:
-underclocking to 384-16xx
-turning on Battery Saver
-running Juice Defender
Anyone know how to undervolt on Bullet?
I am a heavy battery user. I use my phone all day constantly on Netflix (through Wifi) and listening to music with web surfing. I get about 16 hours on it everyday and come home with 4%-30%. It is very odd on why my battery percentage is such a big range. Screen is on like half the day. I really can not complain about this battery.

I am trying to figure out the best setting on tuner pro for dewizzed 2.0. I am only getting like 6 to 8 hours on my phone. When I've seen others get close to 24 with light to moderate use. The rom is Dewizzed 2.0, and I know the some people have the same rom while using tuner pro. I would ask the dev in the devolpment section, but I don't have permissions to do so. Also Hello everyone in xda. I am a long time visitor since the G1 days. I made this account a long time ago, but recently got tired of touchwiz, and decided to give it the boot lol.

I am running Dewizzed 2.0 with Synergy kernel and using System Tuner Pro, 1.62max 384min, 384max and 192min with screen off and am not UV because Synergy is already UV. Getting well over 21 hours of use, light to moderate usage,
Sounds like you have a app that is using a lot of battery.

Thanks I was looking into Synergy, but I heard there was a noticeable lag with that kernel. Could be wrong though. I really do appreciate your help. Lol. If I'm correct I believe you are a mod here.

I noticed a bit of lag when I first flashed Beast Mod w/Synergy. Try this before you flash, it worked for me and my phone is buttery smooth. Boot into recovery wipe cache 3 times, wipe dalvik 3 times. Then go into advanced, then mounts and storage. Format system. Flash synergy, then fix permissions. Reboot, enjoy. Also Im running zepplinrox's V6 supercharger script. That helps out with smoothness too!

Use faux kernel with fauxclock app. Max 1.5 min 384 then max 384 min 384 with screen off

well the best thing to do for any rom is under volt and min the cpu speed i think ginger snap is good for both kernel and rom

Best battery, bombardier 3.0+synergy V.10 for extra battery life I use juice defender, 1day and change with moderate usage.

[Q] [MikFroyo] how have you extended battery life?

Hey guys, im using MikFroyo 4.4, stock kernel, no app killer. Im getting about 15 hours of what most would consider light-moderate use.
Im wondering what i can do to extend this without losing features. Is anyone getting better battery life and if so how?
custom kernel? overclock/underclock? other tweaks?
Thanks.
I use an SBC kernel (SBC #15 v7 from MS79723). There's rumors that it causes battery meltdowns, but from my experience I find that highly unlikely. I've been unplugged for 11 hours and I'm at 60% with what most consider moderate usage (about 100-150 texts, some light web browsing, a phone call or two, a few levels of angry birds). I'm also using Slayer's Cyan Dragon theme which looks badass but I'm not sure what it does for battery life (lessens it, makes it better, i dunno). The set up seems to be working pretty well after a couple of days of the kernel reading accurate battery stats.
I also reboot every morning when I wake up before I unplug to close any programs I still had running from the prior evening. Hope that helps.
Cool, anyone else using the same? different? Thanks guys
I too have been using SBC kernels for a while now with no problems and excellent battery life. Im also running a rom based on Mik's. Im using the 131 sbc kernel and i could not be happier. I also run setcpu for a screen off profile.
There are many different ways to conserve battery do a search. I believe HTC admits we should only get like 6 hours use. Try different kernals and see what works best, but give each one a couple charging cycles before deciding. The setup im using is great but peoples phones react differently.
Thanks for the input guys. I have been searching but i wanted some direct input.
Do you guys use app killers/memory managers too?I was using auto memory manager, but decided it was having little or no benefit at the cost of occassionally having to reload the UI.
Also what does SBC stand for?
Thanks everyone

I do not use anything but set cpu. Do a search for sbc theres a thread that gives all the explanation of different kernal terminology but im not sure exactly where it is
Ok cool, yea i looked it up last night and figured out what things like SBC and Havs are.

You can, you just can't overclock on the stock kernel.
Kernel:
Netarchy 4.3.1 cfs-havs-sbc
Set CPU:
Screen off - 245 min 576 max
Screen on - 998 max 245 min (conservative)
Juice Defender:
Data turns off when screens off, reneables after unlock only. Enables every hour for 3 minutes to check email and such.
Task Manager: Quick system info task killer widget (only when I need to free memory for a heavy game)
Been listening to radio.com app over Bluetooth headphones while connected to wifi for 3.5 hours. Down to 76% from full charge.
Normal daily use for me is 200 texts, 50 or so emails, hour of calls, 2 hours of web, and at least 30 minutes of games. I take the phone off the charger at 7:30am and I can go till midnight no problem.
Friday I did a reboot at 10:50 am from a full charge and at midnight I was at 62% with a little lighter usage than listed above.
Thanks, sounds like the two most used kernels are netarchy and SBC. Any other good ones?

[Q] what is the best battery saving kernel?

hey guys, i am looking for a kernel that will save me on battery. i am running zombie 4 rom. it says it runs the dark x kernel. i don't need to be running at super speeds but i don't want screen freezes either. i just want to be able to play my satellite radio without the phone draining 3 percent every 5 min or so. any help would be great.

I would be interested in this as well. Currently I am Rooted and have tried a few ROM's but haven't found one yet that doesn't have some bug or another. {Granted, I haven't tried them all} Tried one ROM that really distorted my custom made Wallpapers, which is a big deal to me. So... yes, any info on a better battery life Kernel would be welcome.
Currently I am not a "heavy user" on the phone. Talk - Text - You Tube occasionally... that's it. Constantly looking for better ways to improve this already amazing phone.
Eugenes kernel has given me great battery life. Either get down with Eugene's Macnut ROM which already has it or search for it under the general section under the bounty thread for Eugene. Its in page....58?
Keep in mind that the "beta" kernel does not have bln support but works just fine so long as you use the lionheart governor.
If you can't find the bounty thread then I'm sorry for you.
Synergy kernel has been awesome on battery for many.

How you use your phone determines the best way to get the best battery life. Basically there are two ways to save battery: cutting power when not in use and delivering less power to the processors.
If you use your phone intermittently throughout the day for texts or calls, you'll get the best battery results from kernels/ROMs/apps that cut unnecessary functions when you're not using the phone. For example, juice defender cuts your wifi and mobile data when your screen is off and reactivates it every 15min (can be configured otherwise) to check for notifications. Darkside's Digital Warfare utilizes something called "deep sleep" which actually completely turns off your processors when the screen is off, but keeps the basic cell radio on so if you receive a text/phone call it will wake up the processor. These functions have the largest and safest impact on battery life.
If you're constantly using your phone and you want better battery life, you basically only have one option: undervolting. This is essentially supplying less power to your processors, which can be done through system tuner. It's not a free ticket, however; if you undervolt too low then at higher frequencies (playing games, etc.) your processor will become unstable and your phone will randomly reboot. If you encounter this, then don't undervolt that much and up the voltage to the last safe level. Just for reference, undervolting by 50mV is usually considered safe and undervolting past 100mV usually results in boot loops. But how far you can actually undervolt depends on your individual phone hardware, there's no universal answer. Make sure to not set your undervolt settings to set at boot until you find a stable voltage. Otherwise, you'll be forced to restore a nandroid if you encounter a bootloop.
TL;DR
If your phone already lasts a day and you want it to last 2-3 days, look into ROMs/kernels/apps that cut unnecessary functions when not in use. Most effective way to extend battery.
If your phone lasts 8 hours and you want it to last a day because you're a heavy user, look into undervolting with system tuner.

Battery Life ..

Okay, So i finally rooted my T-mobile SGS2 Model Number SGH-T989. I currently use Juggernaut-v5.0 ROM and the synergy Kernel which i installed last night. Also i removed all the unwanted progarms through TITA Backup. My battery life seems to be the same .. It dies pretty quickly and i know for sure it's not 10+ hours. Usually i'm at like 20% within 8-10 hours or maybe even earlier. I currently have 4g/Auto brightness on. What can i do to maintain my battery with 16+ hours people say even with data on and max brightness ?
The Progarms i have for my phone are : CPU Tuner, Go Keyboard, Go Launcher, Go Power Master, Go SMS Pro. Reason why i have the GO keyboard is because the Keyboard that came with the JUGG Rom is bad and it can't swype.. that's the only reason why i had to install the GO keyboard. Also i wonder if i can install back the old swype keyboard that came with the phone because I tried installing the swype beta and it doesn't let me install.. It says "problem parsing the package" Another problem i have is the Bloater doesn't seem to open, but i see the list T-Mobile SGS2.. just nothing pops up when i click on it.

Flash a different ROM and kernel combination. For me synergy never worked well with my phone. It's different per phone.
And you can't go by battery life with the overall time. You need to check out screen on time and voice time. 4 hours is about the average +/- 30mins

Rom w/ Best Battery Life

curious to see which ROM you experienced the best battery life with. I am not a big flasher but used darkside v8 and CMX and seems like v8 got better battery life. Mainly a web browser, email, pandora. not big on games. what has your experience been like so far?
Nothing wrong with stock ICS (if you tune it right). No need for CPU sleepers scripts or something like that if you keep you phone clean from sloppy written apps.

Why even have a phone if you don't use it? Out of 96 hours you used it for 1 hour, thats like 15 min a day. That's not showing good battery life of usage, it's showing battery life on standby

You right. I was experimenting those days. Besides it was 30 min per day - 15 min of screen time (checking email and reading news) and 15 min of voice call.
This test also shows that there are no rough apps on my phone which could eat battery on background. And the ROM is pretty stable. What would be your results in similar scenario?
If you have read my posts - one day I had 7:40 hours of screen time (was reading ebook) and had 40% battery left. This is another type of usage.
So power consumption is vastly different depending on type of usage... if say you are looking YouTube through 4G your phone will be dead in 2-3 hours...
I have posted results of power consumption during different type of usage so one can compare more objectively and not against "OMG this ROM/app are so good" statements.
Don't have any stats to prove it other than experience but after a few hours on Jedi Mind Trick I can already tell it's being great on battery compared to any AOSP based ROM and it's SNAPPY fast!
For some reason it reminds me of the Darkside GB based ROM Digital Warfare (this thing was crazy good on battery!).

some people use 007 and others 006. New JEDI V5 is ready to download

[Q] Battery Life - What are you getting?

I don't know that I've ever seen this explicitly stated by anyone, so I thought I'd ask straight out.
What kind of battery life is everyone getting?
On average, say, per hour, with moderate use how much battery do you lose?
Are you stock or rooted? What ROM and kernel if rooted?
And... GO!

I understand that everyone is going to be completely different, that's the point. The idea is that if people were to post a wide variety of conditions, along with their battery-related results, others can try to tweak their settings closest to what fits their needs.
Yes, it is easily found amongst the forums for individuals ROMS/kernels, but why not put together a one-stop-shop for reference?

IMO better to keep with the Roms/Kernels (Under development) or someone may mistake and try to add something to a rom that doesn't work. Just my thoughts, I understand the goal, and I'm always looking to improve upon my battery life for my use. Haven't had phone a day yet to have any real results yet to mine.. We'll see how the world chimes in on this too tho..

On wifi, about 4 minutes per percent of battery for screen on time + 2 hours per percent for extra screen off time. This is with the screen brightness very low though.
So, about 400 minutes of continued usage or 200 hours of standby.
Odex blue 1.2 ROM, Google Now off, report location in Maps off.
Alrighty, now we're rolling... Here's where I currently stand:
5h45m on battery - 47% left... Heavy use today though.
AOKP Rom, KToonsez kernel - undervolted and slightly underclocked.
Charging my phone now. But yesterday i got 27 hours before reaching 25%
ROM: Stock Jellybean Touchwiz (rooted of course)
Kernel: Ktoonz kernel for touchwiz (using Ktoonservative/noop stock voltages n touch boosters disabled)
I'm stock and can get 24 hours+ with about 3+ hours of screen on time easily. This is with brightness at about 80% and no battery saving options on.
