Hey Guys Yesterday I installed splash mod.
It works gr8 but there is one thing which is creating problem..
1. there is no market
2. i downloaded market apk and installed it via sd card and when i tired to open the app it "crashed".
3. Same With Youtube.Apk
Then i thought there might be some problem in the mod then
I installed CM7 which installed successfully.
after installing then again i saw that there is no market installed.
So then i installed market & youtube via sd card then again same result
they both "CRASHED"
I don't know what the problem is but the mod which i was using before SPLASH MOD is CM7(Forgot the build No.)
So,Tell me what can be the problem..??
You have to flash a GApps (Google Apps) Package if you want Market in CM7 (And hence, also in Splashmod). Download this and flash it: (Don't try installing Market manually)

hi, im new to rooting. i've just rooted my desire with cyanogenmod 7, and the android market doesn't seem to work? i can't download google map or any other apps from it. any help? thanks alot.
any help? thanks
i guess you tried rebooting? that worked the last time I had problems with cyanogenmod, that being said i don't use it daily so I'm no expert
yup, i tried rebooting but it didn't work too..
Try wiping the cache, if that doesn't work, do a factory reset and wipe everything, do a fresh install and put gapps on.
does that mean i have to flash it back to stock rom and start all over again?
Have you tried to flash the G-apps again? Here's the link of the newest one: Google apps choose the CyanogenMod 7 (Gingerbread) version and flash it with Rom Manager or Recovery.
have you modified the .zip file , deleting some files for exemple?
I done it, and removed "Package Installer.apk" one time, so downloads were beginning but stopped each time immediately
Market download issues
I'm having similar issues using GingerVillain 1.9. Small market updates are downloading without issue, larger ones such as the latest Google Maps update are giving the message "download unsuccessful". I had similar issues when the market was updated from the old style, and wonder whether google are tinkering in the background.

i don't think i've removed any of those files..
I am having similar problems. I have installed the gapps, but it only installs a couple of google apps. When I try to install from the market some install fine but others (angry birds for example) don't. I see the downloading icon for split second then it goes away and the download stops.
Any ideas?
Well installing DarkTremors script did the trick

Hello!
I already searched the forum and google for similar problem and found some topics but none were useful or helpful for me
so I just changed my rom to cm7.1.0-RC1.5-jordan-signed (2.3.5 CM7) few hours ago, and I also installed gapps (gapps-gb-20110613-signed) through custom recovery - install zip from sd card (just like I installed the ROM CM7) and chose it
but when I boot the defy no market or any google app is there
I aslo tried to install gapps-gb-20110828-newtalk-signed and got the same thing.. (=nothing)
any ideas?
thank you all =]
Did you try gapps-gb-20110828-signed ?
Yes I did try that.. same thing (didnt work)
umm.....are you looking into the right place?
with the froyo you go to the app page by hitting the home button at the bottom of the phone. with cm7 rc1.5 you select the apps drawer icon on the home desktop, the icon with 4 squares, in between the phone icon and the globe/earth icon.
if this is the case don't feel bad as i couldn't find it the first time too
Nope.. not there.. I dont know what else to do
Ill tell you guys what I did
I did a WIPE and then went to custom recovery - install zip from sd card and chose CM7
and right after it I chose install zip from sd card again and this time chose GAPPS (without another wipe) maybe thats my mistake? do i need to go to custom recovery and wipe again?

nope, you did everything correctly. that's exactly how i did my anyway. infact, since cm7 rc1.5, gapps is already included in the rom. so you don't even need to install gapps anymore, unless you want to use the latest gapps (august version)?
btw which gapps version are you using? could that be the problem? the recommended version is 20110613. the latest is 20110828.
what if you do a full wipe and just install cm7 rc1.5 zip without installing gapps? try that.
note: i'm not an expert. what i said above may not be accurate
Have you added your Google account? If not, Goto Settings -> Accounts and add it. Hopefully after that the GApps should appear.
That happened to me a few times - I think this was the solution.

hi i really like this rom but i have troble when i put the cyanogen 7.1 mod on my phone it does not come with the market place app its just not there then when i download seperately and install on my mem card it will show on my phone but it will just say connection error all the time when i first strat phone it wont take me throgh the set up either like when i download other roms is there any where i can get cyanogen mod 7.1 with market place already on there the one i normally try is off there web site thanks
You just need to download gapps (chose from the table below the text) and flash them alter cm.
If you read the thread and on the CM7 official site, you'll see that you need to flash google apps separately.
thankyou StylishPirat before i was just downloading the market apk file so i just flash cyanogen as normal and when installed i flash again with gapps zip
Hi, I installed evervolv JB nightly 2 June 2013 for HTC Desire, but there is not playstore included. So I installed different versions of playstore but it opens and closes immediately. I flashed some other ones like aroma but then on the boot it says the wizard couldn't start and gives the same error over and over, so the phone becomes dead, I had to format again.. How can I install a working playstore ?

Hello there.... I´m new here and I surched two whole days on this problem...
maybe you can help me out...
I flashed the Rom from this Thread a few days ago:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1952220
Everything works totally fine, except my Gapps.
I used to flash the Gapps from the Thread (gapps-jb-20121011-signed)
and as I rebooted my system I got an Error, my Partition is dangerously out of space.
I flashed the Rom again, wiped all cache and stuff and it worked fine, but still I have no
Gapps installed cause I don´t know what to do now...
I installed a ton of Playstore.apk Apps, but the Store broke down every time when I wanted to start up the App..
Are there are some Gapps - lite for the P.A.C Rom out there - working?
Or
Can someone help me out, installing the right version of the Playstore APK?
Thanks and have a nice day!
(I would´ve posted this Question in the Rom-Thread, but I´m new here and I´m under 10 posts...
so I was not permitted to do so - sorry!)
Finished
Ok, finally I got it.
If someone has the same problem I had I´ll write down now how I fixed it for myself,
x First I flashed the Rom again, after I wiped data, Cache / Dalvik Cache and stuff.
x I bootet the System and put the Gapps onto my SD Card - these are the one I took:
Gapps - jb - 20120726 lite - rebased
http://www.mediafire.com/download/7m6zv8nc2gdynp8/gapps-jb-20120726-lite-rebased.zip
(they are for CM10 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1952078)
x After I put these on my SD I flashed them the same way I did with the rom.
x I rebooted my system and went to settings -> Accounts -> Google and logged in with my
Google Account.Last thing I had to do was to update the Playstore by installing a new Version
via SD card -> App Manager ( make sure to allow your phone to install unknown sources).
-> I choosed this Playstore apk:

I rebooted again and enjoyed that everything works fine finally!
