If they continue to not work, get a new phone.
But to fix it, just restore back to stock through ODIN and see if they work on stock. REMEMBER TO BACKUP.

AOKP & How to turn Soft Key lights off

I have searched thru the forums and I have did a few Google searches. I cant find any information anywhere on how to turn the Soft key back lights off in AOKP. I have went to settings>Display and Custom options and the menu where you can change the number value of the screen and buttons, I turn all the value of the buttons to 0 and hit save and apply. Get out of the setting and get back into it and everything has been reset even after a few reboots..
This use to work a few milestones back but not anymore. Anyone found out how to do this on the latest build. Thank you.

This is how I did mine and it works great.... long press on home screen
Shortcuts-activities-galaxy SII options...from there uncheck backlight keys.... than i downloaded button remapper from the market and changed all my keys functions and set them as "focus" so as long as ur not in the camera app they do nothing so only the softkeys work and u don't hit the turned off home key or something by accident....
Button remapper wasn't in the play store but sure where I got it lol but its the app I used....maybe got it of off 4shared idk anyways here it is if anyone wants it

My S3 is not rotating!

hi guys,
i just noticed that my screen is not rotating, this has been going for a couple of days now. yes i checked the setting on the menu bar and the option is selected to allow rotation but it does not.... any tips on how to solve this?
There is a option in your pull down menu
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Go to: Settings, Display, and check box Auto-Rotate screen
Did u factory reset? First see if auto rotate in settings/display is enabled or checked
Mine was doing the same I selected it then re selected it and it started working again.

[Q] Turn off backlight keys LED's?

I just want to use the Nav Bar in AOKP, instead of the hardware keys. I figured out how to disable them, I just cant turn off LED. Is there a way to do it, but still let it work for notifications?
Here you are my good fellow. Hope this is what you're looking for

I'm actually already using that, I just want to disable the LEDs back lights of the keys. Its some kind of built in galaxy s tool in aokp jb!

Change the custom Backlight settings in display to have 2 settings one on all 0 and one at 100 and then put it into auto bright and lock phone till deep sleep and turn on and there you go

oh i was completely confused by your thread. But in aokp i believe you have to create a shortcut to it on your home screen. In CM10 its under advanced in the settings menu.
Sorry i cant remember, i dont use aokp.
In AOKP JB, the easiest option is to go to settings, device options, sensors, and uncheck "enable keys backlight."

[help] return key. no vibration

hi,
I'm using N 7105, and using stock rom. my return and menu key touch back vibration doesn't work right now, Tried restart and power off and it jus doesn't work, Willing to know if it's the device faulty or rom issue.
Please guide..

Try turning on the heptic feedback.
Off it and On again.
If not, try flashing a new stock rom.
does the phone vibrate when receiving calls? if yes, vibration still works for you. if not, probably faulty device..
When did you bought it?

Power saving mode disable haptic feedback unless you untick it.
