Where and what is the question?
Some games delete their game data when uninstalled.
Sent from my R800i using XDA App
You need to rename the data folder before uninstalling to keep the files

Unless a backup backs up game data (which I'm not sure it does, because I backed up when I had FIFA 12 (1.5GB!) and quite a few other big memory games and it didn't take up that much space), then the data may still be on your phone. If you don't know the file paths then, if you can, plug your phone into a PC, search your SD card using *.* then sort the results by order of size; see if any of the biggest look like game data. If so, then try to work out how to link it up to the apk; if not, then you'll probably have to download everything again and lose all your progress.

How much free space have you got?
Settings -> Storage -> Internal storage.
The app that you are trying to download in the screenshot requires 40 MB of free space.
You could try using app2sd to move some of the larger apps that you have installed to the SD card.
264mb free

Thats the problem. If you have no space left in /cache/ because your DC is taking up the space.

So what i can do ?
Sent from my R800i using xda premium
1) Clear all cache/data of the market by going into settings>Applications?Manage Applications? Selecting the market app > Clear data/cache.
2) Try removing the memory card and restarting the phone - this can for some reason bug it up as well :S.
3) Try removing the phones battery for around 5mins and then putting it back in.
4) Try using wifi if available and check if the market works with this if so: you have either entered the wrong APN settings and/or not enabled data in settings>Wireless & Network.
5) Sign into the google talk application - again something which fixes it for some people and i have no reason as to why.
6) You may have changed your google account from @googlemail.co.uk to @gmail.com or something similar - check this first.
7) If none of these work the only thing I can suggest is you do a factory reset, this resets everything on your phone and clears all data so save your contacts, music, pictures etc before you do this. The procedure for this depends on your phone.
8) Try checking the date/time, market sometimes bugs up due to the date/time being incorrect.
I did factory reset.
I have now the old market.
And i lost the root access.
What now ?

So, how do I do this? have manually transferred the apk files so that I have the apps installed, but how do I transfer the app data? I haven't turned on Google backup, and I hear it is a bit hit and miss anyway, so what is the best way of doing this? Does titanium backup work on a non-rooted phone?
Thanks
Bolo

I don't think it will do it automatically but maybe where you have to install each one at a time. And without root I don't know if it can link it to market etc. I used to use my backup pro on my X10 before root
Sent from my LT28at using xda app-developers app
Titanium no go wo root but do u even need data? Sometimes that's trouble anyway w using a dif rom. If u have apks just install, open and reset them, minor pain but otherwise could get nothing but force closes. eb

I'm trying to do the same thing did you ever figure it out?
After install the game, look for the file or folder of your game in the old phone - copy & paste to the new phone in exact location. Ie: /android/data/..xgame.
I play PES2012 and that worked for me.
Sent from my LT28i using Tapatalk 2
Nope still have not. The game data is saved on the system part of the phone and so can't transfer without root...
Sent from my LT28i using xda app-developers app
Rooted or not you still able to access system folder.
Sent from my LT28i using Tapatalk 2
Hi, I might be missing the point here, but if you are not rooted you cannot write to the root folders. So even if you can access the folders (which I can using astro on my non rooted ion) you cannot write the required data which means cannot transfer the data. It really depends on where your app saves the game.
Sent from my LT28i using xda app-developers app
I could be wrong but I don't think any programs install after the rom would write into the system and do not allow you to copy & replace. You just have to know what you are doing.
Sent from my LT28i using Tapatalk 2
Unblockme definitely saves a database to the data/data folder of the root. Like I said I think it depends on the app.

I download the game and played it - really cool game. I found the folder for the game - from Astro - /mnt/asec/com.kiragames.unblockme - copy that and paste to your ION, you should be good.

Thanks. But my asec folder is empty. My data is found in the root folder, at /data/data/com.kiragames.unblockme
I might try moving the game to the sdcard first to see if this helps.
Edit. If I move the game to sdcard/ internal storage, I get the folder in the asec folder. However I believe this folder only contains the app itself, not the game data. Will keep looking.

I just got the gs3 yesterday and flash CM10
now when I was on my E4GT I was playing Pokémon fire red and I thought by simply saving the game and moving the folder would allow me to pick up where I left off
Now when I try to play the game it just stays stuck at a Game Boy screen :/
Suggestions?

Use titanium backup to wipe the data only. You will have to reset your bios and ROM folder. If it still doesn't, move your folder to the external sd

When you're in Gamboid make sure the file path that points to the gba bios and your room directory are correct.

Yes, but you may wanna keep in mind that link2sd doesn't move cache to sd and linking needs space too. I usually integrate davlik cache into rom by titanium backup so that i don't face any storage issues.

I don't know of a way to restore directly from dropbox. I believe it WS designed as a means to store the backups rather than restore from there.

Right. There are some apps on the market you can use to download from drop box to your phone. I've never used them but its worth a shot if you don't have a PC near by.
