It may be because a new battery app I installed? Or maybe because I was tempering with the CPU? Any help? I'll try to uninstall setcpu and my battery app
Which values have you set as frequency of CPU?? maybe it's a problem of frequency..you must go slow with CPU

Hey guys im having trouble with my phone when setcpu is running. When ever i come out of lock screen it takes a few seconds to be able to do stuff on my phone, like its waking up from sleep. Also some times i get this message and it has to reboot.
"Sorry activity htc sense (in application HTC Sense) is not responding."
Im running the 2.6.32.15 king # 4 kernel.
My set CPU settings are on 1.15 GHz max and 460800 MHz min. Im running conservative at the moment but it does it on other scaling like performance and on demand. my setting for screen off is 460min 614 max.
Is there anything im doing wrong? or should i be using a different kernel? What kernels are the best? Thanks
I would bump up the lower end to about 600. I have have issues lower than that coming out of sleep.
im running virtuous 2.7
power saving kernel
Main Profile is 245-998 ondemand
Screen Off is 245-384 ondemand
I do not have that problem... but it would be a lie if I told you i didn't before!
I was having this problem you are talking about when my main profile was set to conservative.
EDIT: Back up your setcpu + settings in titanium... Uninstall it (or freeze it) and see if the kernel can run it just fine cause it probably will. Most kernels already have the settings for optimum performance and even the devs who make them (like hydra) say that it will work best without setcpu.

"I recommend not using the setcpu controls or governor with these kernels. Let the stock governor do the work. If you have setcpu installed I recommend clearing out the settings before flashing the kernels. You can use it to monitor cpu speeds or an app from the market called systempanel if so desired."
Hi,
I'm a little confused about the cpu tweaks in system tuner. I'm running Bullet v2.9b. What is the difference between the different governor settings? Also, when I change the cpu clock speeds, it keeps resetting to the default settings.
I had this same issue with system tuner. Try another CPU apparently from the market. The governors tell the CPU how fast to ramp up. Conservative is the best for battery life. Performance is the worst. On demand is a middle ground for battery and speed.

Did you ever sort out the System Tuner CPU tweak issue? I'm having the same or a similar problem. I set the freqs to 384-1.6 (whatever) and go away (home or back...). When I return to ST, seconds later, the CPU setting is 1.6-1.6. This happens almost all the time. It does not happen with SetCPU. I'd prefer to use ST, but not with this weirdness.
(I'm using faux-u009 with the standard KL1 ROM.)
Thanks for any help.
CPU Settings
Hi,
I'm using Jugg 4.1 with the bullet kernel. I was wondering what are some normal settings for the CPU when using system tuner. It seems like the first setting is +1 ghz while the second is in the 300-400 mhz range. Any help would be much appreciated.
@disguy03 - Your settings of 384MHz - 1GHz CPU are exactly what I'm using--that, and the Ondemand governor--and I haven't had any problems. If anything, since your CPU is underclocked at its highest, to ~1GHz, your battery will love you for it.
I hope that helps you in some way!
I have noticed the same behaviour, with system tuner. I believe it is a display issue. If you look at the times they will still show the lower ones. At least that is what I see.
its a graphical glitch...if you leave the CPU tab and come back it reverts to the proper view but will work properly as long as you have it set to either run from intuit.d or change after boot.
I was just wondering will the 2 different apps clash if we use one app for undervolting and another app for profile and governor management ?
for example setxperia for undervolting and setcpu for profile management..both set on boot...
If you can select only the undervolt at boot from setxperia then should be ok. If not then they may be clashing, try incredicontrol for u/v.
Hello, i wanna share my experience undervolting.
For people who dont know what undervolting is, its the power or energy that the battery send to the CPU with determinate clock speed.
For example:
384 Mhz is the lowest frequency of our CPU, it has a 800mv volt in the stock ROM with stock kernel.
So in theory, the battery send 800mv to the CPU when it runs at 384 Mhz.
The effect of undervolt the CPU is bassically get more battery life and at the same time reduce the temperature of the phone.Less energy send less battery used and less hot phone in our hands.
How to Undervolt
Im running Stock ROM with Ruby Kernel stable.
For undervolt you need a kernel that support it, you can do it in all rom if the kernel support that.
If you want to Undervolt, i recommend you to use Trickster MOD.
You can Undervolt maybe -50mv all frequencies and see how it goes. Some people can even in best cases undervolt -200 mv. But you need patience to test slowly.
DONT TICK SET AT BOOT IF NOT TESTED.
That why you cant:
For example if you undervolt -100mv and if not stable, and you have set at boot ticked, it will freeze the screen and after reboot it will happen again.
After you set the mv for undervolt, download from play store CPU stability test and run it.
It will test all CPU frequencies to see if it is stable.
If you dont get any SoD, congratulations its stable.
My undervolt settings are -100 or in some cases -75 mv and very stable. My battery temp is 30 C°.
Thank you very much

What is needed to undervolt?
Thanks for the info. What are your battery stats after undervolting? How does it suffer other operations of our mobile like browsing or gaming etc ?

You need to first make a backup, install a custom kernel, install trickster mod, and from there apply what this discussion is talking about. Good luck!

Bootloader unlocked with freegee and some kernel for your rom that supports undervolt.

And after that? Some specific app?

Depends on the kernel. I am using Trickster Mod with Viper ZVC kernel. There are other control apps available -- some of them are kernel-specific, some are more universal (Kernel Tuner, Android Tuner, System Tuner, etc.). Look in your kernel's thread -- the developer usually tells which control app(s) to use with it.

Thank you, I'm using AK kernel with UKM and Synapse app from google playstore. Using E-975 (intl.). Can you suggest if I should change the global setting or the individual settings for frequencies ? I had recently (soft) bricked my phone by running benchmark at ~1900mhz CPU and 487mhz GPU (like a villain, I know. Re-connected battery to save it... phew..). I'm really cautious now and I just want it to be less hot and save some battery, that's all. Any guidance would be really appreciated... thanks

I dont have anymore this phone because some people stole my phone like 1 year ago. Sorry.
Oh okay, sad loss....
I think to found the problem that is the cause of battery drain.
I just asked you help to it, but watching with Battery Doctor i think that the cause is the second cpu core that is often at 1600-1700 mhz.
With app like Set Cpu i just tried to set the max frequency to 810-1024 ecc.. but it has effect only for the firts cpu.
How can i stop the second cpu ?
I am using S5 Proyect ROM with BrisK kernel 3.4.0

Hi dude there is an app called CPU governor, is not in the play store but you can look for it on Google i think it could help you!:good::good:
