I just got a SGN and I want a wet applied screen protector.. I read through many forums and I came down to the ghost armor and XO.. I have a zagg on 2 of my devices and I don't mind them but I heard zagg is cap and those two other screen protectors are better? Which should I take out of those screen protectors? Thank you so much!
I have ghost armor, and its great

I have the XO screen protector and it's the best one i've tried so far. Havent tried ghost armor so i cant say but i would get xo on all my other devices moving forward
Using ghost armor right now. It feels and looks really good.
It's great to know that both are great but I want to know which is better.... Did anyone use both screen protector?
I'd also like to know this, as I will be purchasing a screen protector soon as well, and I don't want to have to go with the traditional screen protectors which both take away from the beauty of the screen as well as change the texture of the screen.

I'm using xo and love it! Sold on them for life. Perfect protector.

Was waiting for Ghost Armor to have a kiosk apply it but ordered the XO, I am VERY happy with this screen protector. Unlike all clear dry apply protectors I've used this hardly shows fingerprints at all unless i have something on my hands, clarity is perfect. It does take a few days for it to be totally bubble free which might make you worried but its not bothersome if you know its going away. I followed the directions and removed the battery for install and left it overnight, I made the mistake of putting on my case that morning and it slightly lifted an edge by the volume keys and it looks like a spec of dust got under it. It's not on the visible part of the screen itself so not an issue. I would use XO skins again without any hesitation.

Yes, in fact I switched from an XO skin to a Ghost Armor on my GNex, but I did it only because of the case I was using was de-laminating the XO skin off the screen. IMHO, Ghost Armor skins have a better hold on the screen so if you're using a higher coverage case (like the case-mate tough-mate), it seems to hold better and give a better overall result with very little orange peel. If you're not, the XO skin works great and seems to give a "cleaner" result with practically no orange peel.
The Ghost Armor is actually my 5th skin on this phone... I've gone through Zagg, Skinomi, BestSkinsEver, XO skin and Ghost Armor, and none of them were perfect. The Zagg peeled within 2 days and just never looked right. The skinomi and BSE weren't much better for peeling but were atleast clearer, especially the BSE. The XO skin was the clearest of the bunch and held better than the others, but after ~1.5 weeks started getting little bubbles along the side and POW, peeled in a corner and never looked right again. Now I'm on to Ghost Armor, had them trim the edges a bit before they installed it and haven't had a problem in ~2weeks. It's not quite as clear as the XO skin or the BSE, but it's not really too bad at all (ALOT nicer than the Zagg) and it's staying put so far...
Agree that Ghost Armor is the best of the bunch

i had a ghost armor screen protector on my droid x and had to remove it because when i looked at it with polarized sunglasses on i could barely see it, it was just a rainbowed mess. this is not the case with the xo protector.
might be something you want to look into.
Does anyone know how either one of these guys stack up against the SGP Flex?
Xo skins is better
The xo skin felt much less rubbery and was far less tacky. I didn't apply mine right so I'm using ghost armor right now. Because the xo skin is thinner it's much more responsive. The cut for the galaxy nexus was better on the xo skin as well.
I have the ghost armor on my phone for 5 months note and works well. It's smooth and doesn't not have a lot if orange peel effect.

I have xo, I think some months now.. almost 4.. well, is pretty good, but after some weeks I star to notice some like blister, whitout air inside, is strange.. and I never really lost the orange skin effect... I don't looking for a different one because I think is a really protective skin and I like the sensation when I touch it, but compare the price should be better..
Does the ghost Armor cover the entire screen or does it have a gap around the edge.

XO Skins has a regular fit http://xoskins.com/cell-phone-skin-...tectors/samsung-galaxy-nexus-screen-protector and a case fit version http://xoskins.com/samsung-galaxy-nexus-screen-protector-case-fit
The case fit ones are smaller and have a gap around the edges. Initially I used the regular fit and then got a case fit when I swapped cases. I have a review I did of their with pics as well as a bunch of other folks. They are the best imo. But out of the two brands XO Skins and Ghost Armor are easily the higher quality brands. Most others that I have must resell cheap chinese stuff from alibaba.com The XO doesnt have orange peel and hides finger prints very well. Hang on to the spray bottle cus you can use that to clean your phone later.
I tried to order XO Skins, but I think they don't ship to my country... (Serbia)
Is there some online retailer that ships?
stretched than you very much for that response. When the BSE eventually starts to peel i will try the XO.
So when i first got the phone i had the vzw rep throw a anti-glare protector on it, but it really lost the clarity of the screen. I then went to a SGP flex, and if you didn't know this is a water based protector. Install went well, got the thing damn near perfect after two attempts. All the airbubbles were out, but was told it would take a few days to "cure". After close to a week on the screen protector the resolution looks horrible because of the orange peel. It almost looks like finger nail marks ALL over the whole screen. Anybody else experience the sgp for the worse? For $18 they should hold up a whole lot better than this.
I do like the feel of the protector, but thats where the love ends. Im blown away with how bad protector held up.
agreed, i found it just as bad as the zagg. i didnt mind how much oil it retains but the oils + the orange peel really soured me. im on an XO right now and i can feel the rubberiness (sp?) starting to fade. this applied excellently for me no orange peel but is real hard to clean
You guys need to get dry screen protectors... all of the wet ones are the same old crap.

But the dry one doesn't offer edge to edge coverage. The Flex might look bad, but it feels great, with a glassy smoothness that belies its textural downside.
I guess that is a downside, but if you pair up the protector with a good case thatll slightly lip over, you cant even see the end of the protector.

Same here, i cant speak for the protectors you have, but the $8 (after corp. Discount) verizon protectors look and feel great with matte black tpu case.

Im rocking an Incipio case from verizon. Maybe i will look at dif. protectors, not covering the whole screen isn't a big deal for me.
The feel on the SGP is great but oh my the orange peel. My friends that are into phones just laugh when they see this screen protector. Who would of thought, I heard Steinheil are the best you can buy.
I vote for Verizon crystal clear screen protector. It's simply beautiful (with the silicon case to cover-up the gap).
I'm not sure about the rest of you, but for now it seems like we can't get a good screen protector for the S3. All the flexible film based protectors dent too easy. This includes protectors like the SGP Curved Crystal. This review below clearly shows what I mean about easily denting. It also has issues with tight fitting cases.
Then if we go for a screen protector that doesn't dent so easy, they end up not covering enough of the screen. The SPG Ultra Clear nano and Ultra Crystal (2nd version) both don't dent like the Curved Crystal, but they don't cover enough of the screen. Especially the sides. So swiping near the edges you can easily feel the ridge. Ruins the smooth experience of the S3. Would be nice if Spiegen does a revision of the Curved Crystal like they did with the Ultra Crystal and made it so it didn't dent so easily. I definitely don't want to go with tempered glass as its just too thick. I am currently using a Realook Flex Film, and it covers the whole screen nicely, but has orange peal and dents easy just like the other flexible films out there. Realook now has a "3D forming crystal clear" protector. It covers the whole screen and uses their PET material for the main part of the screen, which should prevent the denting effect. I'll give this one a try, if it's not that great, I may just use no protector and go with a flip case. Anyone else have any suggestions.
Here's a pic of what I mean with not covering the whole screen for the Spigen SGP screen protectors.
This is what I just bought.. not sure when it's going to arrive but it should fit your criteria better?

To be honest, I've searched far and wide through the threads and Spigen seems to be the protector of choice. But once I look at reviews of those protectors elsewhere (like the YouTube video I posted) I end up seeing that they're not that great. I'm beginning to think that we have to go with either the flip cover protector or go with a hard film protector that doesn't cover the whole screen in order to get that glass like experience. All the soft film based protectors just dent to easy or have some orange peel effect. It just ruins the beautiful display of the S3.

You are correct, the Ultra nano does not cover the entire screen. Really though, it makes it perfect for use with a case. The amount no covered is so minimal when using most cases that it's not concern, for me anyway.
I use the screen protector that came with my otterbox case and it has served me well so far. It doesn't cover the whole screen but then again, if it did it would come off when I used a case.

I use the genuine Samsung Super Slim case which I feel gives the scratch protection I need for the back and sides of the phone, while adding practically no bulk to the phone. So an edge to edge screen protector would have no issues for me. If only Spigen would use the same material they use for the Ultra Nano or Ultra Crystal in their Curved Crystal protector it would be perfect. It's really too bad the Curved Crystal dents/creases so easily as shows in the above video.
I like what zagg did for the iPhone. They make a case friendly screen protector. I like having that option. If you plan to use a case then it's a perfect choice. If going to use no case or a snap on case then a regular screen protector suits just fine. It would be nice for companies to show android some love in this respect of options.

you can pick up the SGP Flex HD. They cover the entire screen, and is hard to see that it is actually there. It feels smooth as well. Also it doesn't leave much finger prints on there
It seems you haven't looked hard enough, I have a thread on a skinplayer 3D mask film, 99.5% full coverage and has a self healing surface, flexible PET screen protector.
I use the zagg invisishield. Best one I've used yet. I also use it on my tablet. It's more expensive, but worth it. Of course I got mine from best buy the second day the phone was out. So there were only two to choose from ,and I didn't want to wait for one to be shipped to me.
It's designed to fill itself in for minor dents and scratches (I possibly butchered that explanation, but I think you understand). Also, it can be removed and reapplied.
The best part though, is that it's so clear it doesn't detract from the screen. In the past when I would use a screen protector it would always look like a filter was on my screen. Hated it. They've come a long ways in that aspect.

not 100% coverage, but excellent quality.
I hate when people ask about screen protectors because that means they obviously don't know about the best one out there. It is called clear-coat. Google it. Ive had it on all my phones. It is perfect. It doesn't come off unless you peel it off and leaves no residue behind. Most malls have a station that sells it and puts it on for you. If you watch videos of it you will see a guy scratching his iphone against rock and then peeling it off and no marks on the screen. Best way to go by far. It is also covered by a lifetime guarantee.

Vikuiti!
I'm currently using Vikuiti screen protectors, and they're working out pretty well. It attracts fingerprints a bit, but nothing a quick wipe doesn't get rid of~
I'm not really so sure why everyone is so worried about the very edges of the screen that the Ultra Nano doesn't cover. It's a great protector that you can barely even tell is there, and it covers all of the important and useful parts of the screen just fine. I've been using it for 2 months and it still looks great, plus I've had no issues at all with scratches on the edges that aren't covered. Using it with a Diztronic TPU case. Put a case on your phone and the combination seems perfect to me.
I've been using vikuiti ( a less mentioned brand for screen protectors I think) and it's been working perfectly fine with the genuine galaxy s3 clear TPU case. No scratches on the phone or screen protector, I never really understood how people had to cycle through so many screen protectors. Best of luck to you finding your preferred sp!
There are so many choices for screen protectors on Amazon. I am looking to get one that is anti-glare, easy to apply, that doesn't bubble. I am ordering the Spigen Slim Armor case at the same time. If there is not a good matte finish protector, and they all reduce the display quality, please recommend me a good clear one. So what have you had luck with? Thanks in advance.
-Jeremy
I had a anti-glare screen protector from Clarivue on my N4 and I can tell you it's not worth it. After a month or so, the coating on the surface of the screen protector wears off in higher use areas (like where the on-screen keyboard is). It feels alright up to that point, but I think it's fairly impossible for an anti-glare screen protector to NOT reduce display quality.
For an alternative clear screen ptorector, I've heard the Steinheil screen protectors from Spigen are fairly good in terms of clarity and feel. Just be aware of film sp's that have the dreaded orange peel effect. And obviously most will be fingerprint magnets.
Other alternatives are tempered glass screen protectors, and you can find some for the same price as higher quality film sp's (although most are going to be a bit more expensive than your standard screen protector). As mentioned by many people in other threads about glass sp's, they do have a tendency to bubble, chip and/or crack, but since you're ordering a case with yours I think you should be in good shape. Glass sp's will usually have an oleophobic coating on them that will be more resistant to fingerprints while still maintaining clarity and feel. Check out my thread and the first post has a list of the common tempered glass screen protectors.
They all reduce the screen quality, that's just the nature of them.
I have the citigeeks matte and am pretty happy. The feel is much better than the other ones that I have tried for my other devices, less "grippy" and smoother.
I have it in the slim armor with no problems from the case.
I've got Tech Armor matte finish protectors on my N7 2012 and my N5. The loss in display quality is negligible to me; just doesn't affect me that much. They only bubble if you manage to get some dust stuck under them in the application process, and the feel is very, very smooth. I liken it to touching the screen of a Kindle e-reader's e-ink display.

I actually bought the ones from Anker on Amazon and they are amazing. I love the feel of Matte protectors but hate the rainbow effect and those have the least rainbow effect. They are amazingly clear.

+1,000,000. i've tried a few different ones, Anker is the best texture and screen quality of them all.
I have come up with a pretty good way of applying a screen protector. Place it on the phone and tape it on one side as if you were making a book. Line it up perfect before setting the tape. Flip it open, make sure the screen is clean, couple wipes and blows. Then peel of the backing and flip on the protector. Do it fast and get the bubbles out. If you for some reason have lint, peel it back and use tape to get it out.

Maybe I didn't invent it. Haha. Such an obvious thing too.
+1 on the Anker. WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY better than the 2 Steinheils, 1 Zagg, 1 Skinomi, and the protector that I got from Spigen for a messed up Slim Armor TPU.
Nilki for the win.
Ended up going with the Nilkin, and so far am loving it. Great product, but horrible installation instructions translation for the English instructions. I just watch a few Youtube videos on the installation process before tackling it. Came out pretty good. Had a few of the spiderwebs at the top edge and bottom edge of the screen. Have some microfibers & medium binder clips on it now while I'm working trying to get those squared away. This protector pairs nicely with the Spigen SlimArmor case I got.
-Jeremy
I am very happy with my BestSkinsEver matte skin on my N5. It works very nicely with my Spigen SlimArmor case. Installation was pretty easy. I ended up with one bubble at the very edge, near the bottom, but that was my fault. It's not bad enough to bother reinstalling.
Hey Everyone, just thought I'd put my two cents out there since we are all searching for the perfect screen protector and cases. I ordered the Poetic Revolution in white from amazon and their Tempered glass hoping they'd work good together.
Pics- https://imgur.com/a/w9y2yw0
Okay so the case is a pretty rugged case with a nice lip around the screen. The tempered glass fits in the case well. I popped out the plastic built in screen protector on the case since I'm a tempered glass guy. The case is well made and matches my white pixel 3 xl well Very similar to the Supcase Unicorn Beetle pro's I've had and I-blason armorbox but not as bulky as those. Volume and power buttons are super clicky without much force and thats nice. The sides are a nice texture. Its pretty grippy.
The tempered glass is a edge adhesive type with the black border and it works pretty well. Good cut outs and fits the screen well. Will have to see how strong the glue is in long term use. I wish they included a bigger wet wipe, since the one included is tiny and not super damp. Other than that it works pretty well. It's dot matrix and sensitivity is pretty good. Only a tiny bit of rainbowing but some is expected with the edge adhesive type. Honestly ill take that over bubbles and this has none. Overall I'm very happy with it considering I've seen some really terrible glass protectors on here and XDA lol.

I have this case too, the built in screen protector is OK, a LITTLE loose when the weather is cold so you can feel your finger "catch" sometimes. Also worth mentioning that the edge sense is still ok to use. I was worried with how sturdy the build is that it might not activate but this is not the case. I have ordered the stand but my understanding is that wireless charging should also not be an issue. The poetic tempered glass has a 2 star rating on amazon right now so I was worried to try that.
