PlZZZZ Help i need to flash a rom
Explain your problem, not what you think the solution is
i have even a laptop with htc sync but in my desktop even though it is installed in the cmd it says waiting for device
So... is fastboot and usb debugging turned on in the settings?
fastboot commands only work when the phone is in FASTBOOT mode. If the phone is turned ON (in android) you have to use adb commands.
Get the latest version of HTC Sync Manager for the latest drivers
If you are trying to use a fastboot command, you must place your phone in fastboot mode.
To do this,
Hold down your power button and volume down rocker until the phone reboots and you will be presented with the bootloader
Then, using the volume rockers to navigate, select fastboot (it should already be selected) and press the power button to select.
Connect the USB to your phone and your PC and you will now be in Fastboot USB mode.
i just need proper drivers extracted from any one of ur comp
U can find the latest drivers for One X here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1603252

Fastboot Problems, because of hw keys

Hey
im trying to unlock my bootloader again (had to lock it because i did a OTA on unlocked stock firmware)
im currently on stock ics, if that has anything to say. but the problem is when trying to install the fastboot drivers in windows device management
as far as i have read, when going into fastboot, is powering of the device, press and hold the menu button and connect the usb cable to the phone then u will get a blue light, find the drivers and install
but my menu button does not work anymore, idk why but it wont work when running android either. i have also tried getting in fastboot mode by holding the back button, then i get a green light as usual.
is there any way to enter fastboot without holding the menu button, or do i need to order a new keypad board for my phone
Thanks, Joakim
EDIT!!!!: i dont know what i have been thinking about, as you could enter fastboot, by typing adb reboot bootloader in adb, sorry
good you found out... there's also an option in flashtool inside fastboot window called "reset to fastboot through ADB"... also works... obviously your phone but be turned on and connected to PC through ADB.

Xperia S Not Booting in fastboot, Win8 x64

I want to Root my device, but i cannot enter fastboot mode on my laptop.
It stays in fastboot mode for like 4-5 secs and after that the blue light turns off and battery charging animation plays. Nothing happens on the laptop.
Things i have tried after searching the forum:
1. Allowing Win8 to install unsigned drivers.
2. Using USB 2.0 port.
please help.
Issue Fixed, Used Flashtool to boot into Fastboot, Also it seems i had to disable driver signature test everytime i boot into windows.

[Q] Download Mode / USB Drivers not working

Hey there,
I press volume up + insert the USB, when the LG screen appears I let go of the volume button and leave it. After roughly 1 minute it says Download Mode however it only stays in this mode for roughly 20 seconds and then it goes into Fastboot mode saying "reset" and "changed port". I got the correct ROM for my IMEI and LGFlashTool however I think the main problem could be the LG USB drivers. When I try install the official drivers the installer says success however windows says not successful.

I have tried uninstalling all LG drivers/software, restarting etc.
I am fairly sure I can flash if I can just figure out how to successfully install the drivers or connect the phone to the PC. Anybody have any ideas? I can use linux or try any suggestions/alternative software.
Kind regards,
Desperate G3 owner
Just an update that I was able to manually apply the LGE PORT/COM driver in device manager however the PC only recognises the device when it is in Fastboot Mode. When it starts in Download Mode as stated above, nothing happens, but after ~20 seconds it will automatically switch to Fastboot Mode and then the PC will detect the phone and says Fastboot Commands.
I have tried using adb.exe devices and fastboot.exe devices in cmd but nothing shows up, any ideas?

arc s fastboot and flashtoot?

I have arc s with running cm11.All the drivers are completely install on my laptop window 8.1.when I swtch to fastboot my arc s doesn't load to fastboot why although I have latest fastboot and adb drivers and latest flashtool too.when ever I try to load to fastboot or flashboot blue led blinks for just 0.2 sec and mobile goes to charging plzzz help me to get rid of this. When i used flashtool n check the option of drivers in flashtool, flashtool says list of adb devices CX... And list of fastboot devices none. When i switch off the phone and turn it to fastboot blue led once again blinks for just 0.2s plzzz help pllzzzzzzz
I have exactly the same problem. Can't get my device to go into any modes - flashmode or fastboot mode. have my device turned off, hold down the back (or menu) button, and finally connect the USB. The green LED flashes for less than 0.5s and then continues to charge mode with battery icon. I want to refresh the firmware in my phone using PC companion (the latest version) but when asked to put the device into flashmode the PC doesn't detect it. PC companion has installed all the correct USB drivers on my computer. Anyone knows how to solve this problem?
Thanks
