i wonder what the problem with camera ultimately was?

I hope that when DEFY community gets camera working on ICS, Quarx help us too.

The problem was that there were two people:
1. Anyone who has had a Motorola Bravo and who very much wanted to work the camera to 2.3.7
2. Those who could implement it. )))))
And if in fact, it just needed to properly organize all)

But with the ICS will be much harder. They understood the kernel itself, and yet more questions than answers.
shouldi wait for another realese? is this build stable? i really wanna get into it
Release is stable, but errors may occur. All the same it is still in testing and refinement.
There are some good developers for the Atrix, but I would like to say that I think Quarx and Epsylon are some of the best developers on here. They get so much done in so little time! For the longest time we've been trying to get a working camera, and here we have it! Thanks a ton Quarx

I passed on what I knew from rdanner, he taught me a lot about this phone specifically. I've done a little, but nothing anyone here can't do. I just tried it out and it's really awesome. The camera works PERFECTLY. The video camera works great too, very clear. And thanks to this, those who use miui will be able to take pictures too. I think I'll be buying the Donate for Defy CM7 app

Hi guys
Whereas the great impatience of many people I decided to make the port N1 Froyo from cdma hero (thanks zenulator ).
At the time this port is very very buggy, then, is for illustration purposes only, for now.
if you're curious you can download and play around
I used the kernel of my latest release with OC. Board to use overclocking widget so that the system is more fluid.
This is not an official release is for demonstration purposes only
I'm not responsable if you bricked your phone, data lost or something else. You have to always do an nandroid backups' before updating.
THIS ROM IS ONLY FOR GSM HERO
this is a mini_update to fix some bugs that I had promised.
beyond anyone to think that working outside the community.
-fix some graphical glitches
-fix led
-fix data networks
-fix gps signal (maybe, not tested)
-fix opengl
What works:
-New Launcher2
-2.2 Google Apps (haven't tested them all)
-Keypad/Trackball leds
-data
-gps
-autobrightness
Not working:
-Wifi
-Bluetooth
-ext_partition no supported (works all, but does not recognize file system. So sdcard not working, try to do some testing)
Instructions:
1.Put the package Androbin_froyo_2.2 in your SDCard.
2.Recovery mode
3.Nandroid backup
4.Wipe all 3
5.Flash ROM
6.Reboot

Maxisma, if i understand correctly, you and Lox are working together to create CM6?
Not too sure what the "nightly" naming gives out, but imo (and i mean no offence) it would be better if you had one thread and updated the first post, until we get to a beta phase.
my 2cents.
Thanks for your work.

Well, Lox does most of the work.
The naming "nightly" means that these are builds which are compiled automatically daily.
These builds can be more stable, or less stable.
This is for the impatient guys within this community.
How is working peoples?
My Hero is in a shop now it is searching for a new owner...
Runs pretty nice so far. I had 1 random reboot tho. Thnx for your work!
Flashed over the top of Loxs' version and so far so good.
Seems smoother and faster, but that may just be down to ' new rom flashed' syndrome ( ie, all in my head) lol
It's great to be on the CM bandwagon at last, I've been running AOSP rom's since january and froyo may help get a few more Sense addicts cured ;-)
Does this ROM need a specific radio? As I'm currently on VillainROM10.2, it should be fine right? Just wipe and flash?
Great work to everyone working on Froyo,
I suspect everything works including camera?
you suspect wrong ;p
lots of thanks for sharing
Here is a Mirror for GAPPS - as that one above on rapidshare has expired.
http://rapidshare.com/files/404934792/gapps-passion-FRF83-signed.zip.html <---from a premium account and therefore will not expire
Any plans when camera is going to work? Or may be it IS already working?
Just wondering: Is it okay to flash the nightlies over the current ROM (without wiping etc..), and will there be changelogs?
Thanks.

Hi, does your Rom require a specific radio, or is fine to use any???
Thanks!
No Root through ADB?
Seems these builds have no root access through ADB. Apps do get access to root, but ADB seems messy.
adb shell works which ends up no root unless you "su".
adb remount doesnt work and mounting while su in the shell throws an error.
Hope this get's resolved
p.s. Had no such issues on the original test0 posted by lox

10/17/2012 daothaguy updated.
Everyone Im taking a one to two day break on the daothaguy regulars because im downloading cm10 sources to try and build a hd2 jelly build wish me luck. if i see that i will be getting no where than on the second day ill compile a fresh cm9 build thanks for your support and patience.
My sources on my computer is messed up until I can get the surfaceflinger problem fixed compiling is on hold.
i figured out the problem why the build was not compiling for the surfaceflinger.o i deleted the line in the surface.cpp concerning the EVENT_FORCE_COMPOSITION. it was being checked forced and it wouldnt allow for it so i deleted it and it worked. so i will be uploading the new build today. Thanks for all your support. 500 downloads for my last build so there is alot who love this build especially since no one posted complaints im content
updated to build 10/22/2012
Im still here I didnt forget about all the HTC HD2 users. Im working on some new things. Just finished compiling Gingerbread CyanogenMod right now downloading jellybean source from AOSP well see how that turns out.

I got problem with Marvellous CM10. You can find it here. Now, I flashed CM 10.1 Owl Project and it's working fine for me. The first boot after flashing took a little longer. But after that, it's taking about 30-35 seconds.

I couldn't get Marvellous CM10 to start at all. However, I have arrived at the same solution: CM10.1 OWL Project.
Seems to be working fine. A few minor problems so far:
1. Keyboard crashes whenever I try to "swipe" words
2. "Invalid int: CM101" comes up from time to time

mostly there are no custom ROM with almost no bug but there is option to use ROMs which has less bugs (1 or 2). i am personally using marvellous CM10 AROMA ROM and it's amazing. almost the only android 4+ ROM which still gets updates . i also tested other ROMs but this one is better for me

I tried Clockwork Mod 5.0.2.6 and 5.0.2.8, as well as the Owl Project Recovery (I will have to confirm which version). I successfully flashed other ROMs with all three of them, but the Marvellous ROM always got stuck at the splash screen after installing (I followed the guide exactly, and also tried a few different things).
I will read up about the kernel - for now, I'm testing another ROM.
Thanks again!

Thanks man. Seems CM gives different issues per user. I couldnt make any call, not even linked.. Audio quality is ok for me, i mean its normal but sometimes whilst listening music; glitches for a milisecond when press home button, enter an app etc.. The only thing I miss as a major is calling lol, no need a camera though. So I will try this build, thanks again. :good:
Edit: @Rainbow_Dash Awesomeness.. Now I have calling too. Keep this beauty up man. If a tester needed, PM me :good:
@Rainbow_Dash Tried it out and it's amazing to see CM on my phone. Managed to install Slim Gapps mini. But GMS keeps crashing every time u use a Google app. Ofcourse this isn't a daily driver yet but it was really fun testing it. And, as you say, when it's not crashing it's crazy fast. Looking forward to be testing your builds to come, but for now I have to roll back to the second best: Battleheroe's extreme debloated. I need my phone daytime but in the evenings I will test yours. We really need AOSP on our device. Thanks a million for your work. :good::good::good:
Just wanted to give you a quick update that I managed to get the s view working(mine did not work)and the gapps problem is 30%fixed(yes it was the ROMs fault) I will make an update in the near future so stay tuned for an update!

Have you tried ''aroma'' labeled gapps? > http://opengapps.org/?api=6.0&variant=nano I flashed it on the other CM13 rom, no crashes(make sure do not select dialer which is changing framework=causes reboot when you call). I was always using 'aroma-gapps', so that makes sense to have less issue for me(No reboot in sms, No issue/reboot music etc).. So logically, it would work with Dash's build too. Havent had time to try, will let you know after a day/tonight.

You have to edit your build.prop in case.. I couldnt flash Xposed with your build, but changed build.prop then flashed. When I try to flash with yours; it says my device is arm, not arm64 etc. I guess it may causes a conflict with Gapps too.

I've got only one problem..my notification center doesn't pull down..is there any chance to fix it?
I've already tried to reflash the rom, but nothing..
Sorry for my bad english, i'm Italian
