Is there any way to map the military support icon when it's available? I'd hate to have to run to my tv just to call in an air strike! LOL

This isn't working for me. What am I doing wrong?
I downloaded the file and set it as my active profile. Set the controls in the game to analog sticks. Also made sure my input was six axis controller.
The L1 button works to shoot, and the RIGHT joystick is to aim (which only works left/right/down, will not move up). Everything else including left joystick will just fire the gun.
Any ideas?

up! It's obvius that to make this works we need to adapt the scheme for each resolution. For example, I'm trying to do this on my Nexus, but for some reason it doesn't work. This is my actual configuration:

Hello, i'd like to know how you can configure a 360 controller to use it on the galaxy nexus. I have a micro usb to usb host plug but the controller isn't recognized by the system by default which surprises me since google announced the compatibility since honeycomb.
thanks for your help
It works for me, however it is useless because the buttons are not mapped in a useful manner for anything lol
well maybe there could be an app to configure it somewhere, i'm gonna search and come back there if I find something.
thanks again

ok. but whats the optimal settings then?
Seems to work better w/o the openGL plugin. But still the sound is weird.
When I played it on my tb I disabled the sound; seemed to help the frame rate. Either way its a novelty.

Maybe its time to go buy an old psone and FF7.

Then I would just buy it for my ps3. But I want it on my phone.Thats like the only game thats playable with a touchscreen.
Eh that's what hooking your ps3 controller to your phone is for . I don't mean to be a jerk by any means but if its like that in all phones. This phone won't be an exception. I just use my laptop as my emulator station a lot less bugs.

I would find the newest version of psx4droid (NOT the one in the market). FPSe is very slow on ICS/GNexus and I have never been able to get it to work right. psx4droid will work correctly right after installing it.
I play FF7 through my phone onto my TV with a PS3 controller, works pretty well. I would supply a link but I am at work at the moment. If you can't find it, I will update this post once I can.

Oh so theres an newer version then the one in the market? Cause I tried psx4droid at it was the same. Gonna see if i can find it then. But I read somewhere that the stopped developing psx4droid?
Edit: I got 3.0.7. But thats laggy too.
How exactly are you doing to run it well?

Hmm where is it lagging for you? I am in the middle of disc 2 and the only thing that has lagged on me is the part where you try to stop the train from running into Barret's little town (forgot what it's called).
I am on AOKP and Franco, just installed GlaDOS to try to get some more performance but it is pretty playable.
edit: Try this on FPSe and see if it works for you. I don't have mine setup so I can't try it out.
go in fpse.ini file and set DisStereo=1
Will need root explorer or something to get to the FPSe directory but it might help.

Ive already changed the DisStereo=1 and I thought i was all good. It was in the starter town after blowing the first reactor. But as soon as i left with the train it got unplayable.
Im on stock yakju, but I know people were playing it with their xperia minis without lag. So something else has to be the problem.
Doesnt the sound lag for you? What settings do you use?
edit: ive got scph1001.bin bios and a ntsc-u game.
I can't understand why i cant get rid of the lag when people with half the performance is saying their playing it without. Isnt it suppose to be able to play without a problem?

On my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, I've gotten it to minimal lag by enabling dual core mode (in my version it's done by default and the option is actually "force mono core" but I don't have it enabled) with the following things enabled under the "video" settings:
framelimiter
frameskip
and that's it. I also have my processor overclocked and i do NOT have the OpenGL plugin installed (don't do it).
The sound is messed up and don't EVER use Tifa's limit breaks during boss fights (freezes right up), but otherwise I run at a pretty consistent 60fpt.

It's strange, if you download the OpenGL plugin, the sound is actually fixed (well, 85% of the time anyway), but then strange things start to happen randomly. I've had menus go missing---namely the battle menu during battles---and sprites go missing (sprites are video game programmer speak for pictures of things). Like the little white hand that points at "continue" or "new game" on the load screen disappears. So I just deal with the sound being messed up. I'd rather have smooth game play than fully functional sound.
Mind you, the music actually plays correctly, but it sounds like a stereo recording trying to play out of a mono speaker set up, like there's a speaker that's broken and not playing. Probably something that'll get fixed eventually.
In either case, DO NOT USE TIFA'S LIMIT BREAKS DURING BOSS BATTLES. I've had the game freeze on me half a dozen times during that first boss battle she's in during the 5th Mako Reactor and during the Sewer Boss after the "cloud dresses in drag" scene. During regular battles she seems to be okay, but boss battles freeze up bad enough to have to restart.
Hope I helped out I'm currently about to bust into the Shinra HQ for the first time (way early in the game lol). I love my ps3 controller set up on there too. It feels just like playing when i was a kid...but on mute...damn sound
Hm, that's weird that it is lagging. I played the whole of FFVII on my Nexus One using FPse without any lag whatsoever. Is it like this for all the PS1 games you are trying or only FFVII?

Yes, just set the buttons accordingly to a real PS3 controller
It's actually quite funny how it works Using you phone as a controller and tablet as console really gives a "yo dawg..." Xzibit-ish impression. However, I noticed my phone battery dies really quickly using this app.

I used the blueputdroid app....it is ok...i wish it had a keyboard so you can type in the web browser or search fields. It has a gesture remote control where you just gesture around with your finger and it draws a line with it. but i am looking for something more that has more features.

Sweet thanks, I may have to give that a try. I'll need to root my device first I guess.
I'm searching for a way to connect my glide to my note 10.1 so it can be easier to type without the need to buy another physical bluetooth keyboard. All suggestions welcome .

There was one that allowed the glide to be used as a bluetooth keyboard but unfortunately I tried it and did not work very well. It was called blue something (don't recall name exactly). Maybe it got fixed was about a year a go I tried it.

If you have root, try LANmote.
https://play.google.com/store/search?q=lanmote
You should be able to type any characters (unicode) using LANmote.
If any special characters you type doesn't work, let me know what you did and we will fix it.
Last time I tried Droidmote, it didn't support unicode..
Sorry for the late response, I have been busy lately. Droidmote didn't work well with this phone, and neither did LANmote. But LANmote has nice features. The button mapping for the physical keyboard to my tablet is off, and has a small lag to it when typing fast. Using the buttons to move about the tablet only brings up the search bar, and pressing other buttons inputs character. Using the mouse moves the cursor, but when I click on an application, it doesn't open. I do like LANmote however. It has a simple setup feature which is easy to use.

You can always change the keyboard input mode to "Send text manually", so you type all your words first and then press enter before entire string of text are sent across to the device running LANmote.

This is obviously keymapping issue. Yes, the mouse click is also related to key mapping.
I suppose you have root on your device, right?
If you can provide logs, we might be able to see why keypresses didn't work the way it should.
As far as I know, LANmote works fine and keypresses works without issue on my Galaxy Nexus.
Does Droidmote have the same keypress issue on your Android device?
because both app use similar method, if Droidmote also have same keypress problem... the issue is likely to be with your device's OS rather than the app itself.

Using the OUYA's default keyboard with the touchpad is an aweful pain. I was wondering if there is a keyboard out there that plays well with the controller (D-Pad especially). I was able to install Google's Keyboard but it is not really better than the default one. Anyone found an alternative ?

Ditto for blueboard.
is that the only one that works well for it or possibly the only one that works at current? swift keyboard?
Blue Board is an app that you put on your OUYA, and on your phone or tablet. Once you parent connect them, whatever you type on your phone or tablet pops up on your OUYA.
Blasted from my Samsung Galaxy SIII (CM10.1 Masta Mix).
Thanks !
Thanks for blueboard. Anyone has another option that does not require to switch to a tablet or phone ?
You'll never find a good option while using the controller, your best bet is to use a phone like otheres have said, or bt keyboard I suppose.
I have a couple questions reguarding this though. Does blueboard also have touch pad function? I used droidmote on my mk802 and it was great, it had keyboard, mouse, directional, media controls, even a touch gamepad mode. Has anyone tried this on ouya yet?
