[Q] Still s-on after htc dev???? - HTC Wildfire S

Hello, I just used the htcdev site but my bootlaoder still shows s-on but a new nlocked line on the top, how do i make it s-off??please help me!!!!

We discovered that once you put your phone in the glass full of water, it will S-OFF itself.

Good one!
In meantime: take a paper and write s-off. Dry your phone and put the paper on it.
TADA: s-off phone!

Calm down mate
Just joking
You can install custom roms etc with s-on when phone is unlocked via HTC.
Start reading al the threads before asking those questions, PM if you have specific questions.
There's a one click tool for root and custom recovery. Then you can install custom roms with OC kernel, like mine.
And now, calm down and hit thanks

I'm definitely smarter than you.
When I don't know something, I search for it, if I don't find it, I ask.
But I ask in the place where I'm supposed to ask, I do not open new thread for every stupid thing I want to know.
If you take a look at this section, first 3 pages has like 100000 threads about your question.
It was answered X times, but yet again, you come here and just open new thread for it.
Right, why would you loose precious 10 seconds to search/take a look at this section, when you can just open new thread.

an XTC clip is the only game in town for a full s-off.
the htcdev unlock only does the bootloader, so you can root it and flash an alternative ROM, but no sim unlock or such.

Don't be offended by the other guys.
What happens is that your phone will remain S-ON, but you still have the ability to root and flash custom ROMS and all that. The reason being is that HTC wants you to have an unlocked bootloader, but they leave the S-ON so that the Radio and SIM Lock are protected. Don't let this put you down. If you really want S-OFF then now you have a Unlocked phone, so it should be easier.

cant install any ruu to htc desire cdma

I dont know if someone here has posted something similar but i got a huge problem with my damn htc desire, it is cdma ive tried to install the ruu froyo but it wont let me it says model id error or cid incorrect i have made the damn goldcard and it doesn't work, this phone is pissing the hell out of me. i cant do nothing with it. could someone here tell me plz some way to install an compatible ruu. the phone only boots to fastboot, i can change it to hboot but from there nothing. plz can someone here help me i;m losing my mind.
give us some details then we MAY be able to help you.. we're not friggin' magicians here..
Firstly, the RUU's didn't work because my best bet is that you were using RUU for Bravo and not BravoC (your model) - Hence modelID error.
Secondly, if you're rooted, then you're more than likely S-OFF too so you can probably just fix it, look on my guide. (DO NOT FLASH ANY HBOOTS)
to stop us working double on this, please choose either this thread, or http://androidforums.com/htc-desire/475726-cant-install-any-ruu-htc-desire-cdma.html
It gets annoying trying to help people in several different places.
My suggestion is to stay on XDA as Bortak knows his stuff and will probably be able to help. On AF you may get stuck with me and I just havent the time.
Oooh rootSu sorry didnt knew that androis forums where from here too, my apologies for that. Ummm ok the problem. I got this htc desire bravo_c it was rooted but my brother told me that the phone started on bootloop. Then I exactly didnt knew what he did but then he said the phone was with black screen. Ok I tried some guides from here, the only problem was that it happened like some guy said here, I tried to do an ruu rom but when it started doing the progress when It was at 20% it stopped and now the phone boots only in fastboot. After the ruu now I can see whats happening with the phone but like I said it only boots on fast boot. Oh other thing now the phone is S-on and the hboot is 0.98. Let me know if u need some more details. Ill let u kno,. And sorry again for the other forum.

There aren't that many resources for the bravoC so you've got limited options. As far as I know there is one BravoC RUU on shipped-roms.Com, but if it's not for your network provider I don't know whether it wouldn't just break your phone..
If it is the right RUU for your network then great, use it and hope for the best. If it isn't then stay away from it and contact HTC.
you should root and s-off your phone (when/if you fix it/get it back from repair), so that these sort of problems can be sorted out easily without any hiccups.

well this sucks umm if i contact htc they will probably say to send the phone right? man i was hoping i could fix it with the guides here i really have bad luck.
So the best thing to do now is just to contact htc and wait for what they have to say. thanks for the help, sorry for posting this thread like that, it wasn't my intention to make anyone mad or anything, its just that i was so desperate that i wanted someone to help me.
Sorry I'm not mad and it IS a different forum. But sometimes I end up helping on AF and someone else helps here and we end up either
a) both duplicating each others work
b) taking different approaches.
The risk then is you take some advise from here, some advise from there, put it all together and end up bricking your phone.
I understand thanks for the help. I called htc they told me that i have to call tomorrow because Im from Puerto Rico and their offices are close today so I gotta check tomorrow to see if they are open.

power off your phone, press power+vol down...take a look at the hboot version and that is the bootloader version...and in every rom thread you can see which bootloader version you need to run it

[Q] Can we get SuperCID with this?

Hey Guys!
I noticed an article on a android news site
It stated that the HTC Droid Incredible 4G got bootloader unlocked.
They used a method to get SUPERCID
Which means that the devices CID gets overwritten by all 1's.
This basically tricks the HTCDev website into unlocking it..
Which is great but not very usefull for us here..
But!
I want to know, can this method be used to overwrite CIDs in phones which cannot update to the latest JB RUU?
If this is possible everyone could use the JB RUU and ofcourse this will help developers..
As I already stated: I am not sure, and I do not advise anyone to try this unles syou know what you are doing.
Thr original thread is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1986346
No, no and no
you need S-OFF to get superCID

I'm sorry, misused a term here..
Its not a superCID but a fakeCID method they use..
But I must say, they do not have S-OFF and still can change the CID of the device..
So excuse me for asking but, if they can change the CID with only temproot,
Than we should also be able to do that..
And trick the JB RUU in thinking every device can use it..
So can someone explain me why this is not possible?
btw, I have a HTC__001 CID, so... Do'nt need it, but others may!

So... Over at the One S forum they are using this method now and it works!
I want to try it on the One X, But I really need to know which partition I need to edit..
- Nevermidn this ¬¬ I know already
And for the ones that want o know why:
Nvidia is actually messing it all up!
The rest are all qualcom bootloaders.. but this is different because of the tegra 3!
Thats why it does work on the ATT XL, the One S and other qualcomm phones..

[Q] Lil' Help pleese

First off I have already gone through the 70+ pages of the related thread BEFORE thinking of posting, just so everyone knows I am not being lazy. I still am having trouble rooting my HTC One X. I followed all the steps in the one click method. I do not have HTC Sync installed, and so no need to disable. I have updated my drivers with the link provided. I try and end the adb process, but it shows up twice for every time I cancel it lol.
Everything goes fine until the script starts, and it fails to install anything, everything it tries it says fail (I am including a capture so you know what I am talking about. After the phone resets, even though nothing installs, my phone runs script up the right side of the screen, taking up the right half of my phone. Any help is appreciated. Hopefully the pic uploaded, this is my first post...don't hate

[Q] I think I'm in so much trouble.... Need help please!

Hey guys,
I dropped my HTC One M8 today, and now it has a crack in the screen.
Well, I wanted to go back to the store to get it replaced under warranty, but I needed to unroot & go back to stock first.
So at home I tried to go back to stock and stuff, but it just didn't work. That is where **** hit the fan.
Right now, I can't boot into Android, can't boot intro recovery. Everytime I start my phone it boots into FASTBOOT USB, and I have the following screen: *see attachment*
I really don't know what to do, I've been searching for serveral hours and my guess is I hard-bricked it...
Please, please tell me there is a way to make it boot into android again...?

Yea being s-on I don't think you can what is your cid and what carrier do you have maybe someone can modify one of the ruus to work with your cid cause it seems the ruu is checking your cid and it doesn't match for the ruu so it isn't working.
