Hi!
i would like to request a feuture that i think would be awesome on the galaxy nexus, i don't even know if it is possible to do, but somebody perhaps does?
anyways i would like a mod that allows me to hide the softkeys, to get a bigger screen in games for example, i was thinking that you could make the softkeys appear/dissapear by holding down volumeup/down.
All awesome devs out there, is this even possible?
Thank you in advance!!!
edit: i just saw that i posted this in the wrong section, could a moderator please move the thread?
This mod would be great. Someone has already post this in Q&A

Hi there!
Is there a flashable mod that can change the notification pulldown from trans(lucent/parent) to opaque (without sacrificing the other elements of the theme)?
I LOVE the themes that I've found here, but I find transparency/translucence to be disorienting.
Thanks!
yes and no. to my knowledge there is no app or mod to simply change the properties of the png image to opaque, but you could check out the metamorph threads on here and in other xda forums and make yourself a metamorph to do just that!
basically you would choose an image for your new background or pull one from another theme or whatever and build the metamorph according to the guide, run it and voila. good luck!
Thanks. I installed metamorph and... let's just say that I'm smart enough to know that I'm too stupid to do it right
Are there any themes that come with the opaque pulldown?
Thanks again!

Click here, it shows you how to do it yourself. It is a very detailed walkthrough and should not be too difficult even for people without and development experience.
I don't really think there would be a way to create a universal flashable zip that makes the drop down opaque/transparent since the image file that the dropdown consists of is what has to be changed. It is possible to create a zip that would replace your dropdown with a new image file, but then again you still run the risk of changing some of your current theme since you would have to replace more than just that single image file.

Yes it can be done by changing one image and if the theme is done right in the 1st place, the other images will not be affected. The problem is most themer's, including myself do the transparent image since 99.9% people want that. Wanting a custom look is what drove the person making the theme in the first place. We make what we want in a theme and share our work.. The best thing for you do is read the instruction and ask the right person for help on the area you need help. It's the only way to get what YOU want.
Edit: Change my mine, going to help you out. Which of my two themes posted do you want. I will edit the correct png and post just that apk in zip for you to download.
Metamorph will do just that. Gonna take you some research. Sterickson developed it and its under utilized on the samsung Epic so far.
Froyo window had an opaque one but its buried deep on here. 1 thing to note only the stock launcher well show opaque, the after market ones like zeam lp, etc don't display in full screen so it will still show up black unless your using a live wallpaper

that is very generous of you! i truly appreciate the offer.
however, i'm most certainly in the minority in wanting opaqueness (if that is indeed a word). and i know i'm gonna want to learn how to do it eventually, so i'm going to try to do it myself. we'll see what happens
on a related note: as i'm learning and have questions, should i post those questions here or in the general or q/a? seems a little too specific for q/a, but i know there's nothing more loathsome than a question posted in the wrong section
thanks again!

Feel free to pm any specific questions want to learn how theme in general check my signature, the threads are buried deep. Now the status bar (notification bar, pulldown, whatever your calling it) being opaque (transparent, whatever lol) just change the status bar background in twframework to a clear or semi clear image. You used to have a live wallpaper with anything but the stock launcher to get this to work but last night my Zeam updated, and now running the new Zeam, the status bar is clear with just a regular wallpaper. Don't count on LP being added to this list any time I believe it has been asked plenty of times and so far it looks like it's not happening. I could be wrong I haven't been to the LP forum in a bit.

Hi, this is wrong place to ask question, all questions should go to Q&A section.
Here you go, there are few mods available.

Take a backup your phone, in case anything goes wrong while doing the steps mentioned in above threads..
If anyone wants to try this, It might be a great app for the users that have a hard time seeing the grey on black that the present notification bar is displayed on the stock jelly bean ROM. I have tried a bunch of apps that change the bar's colors and some are really vivid, but are not able to display active things that pop in the bar like weather beetle, screebl icon, etc. It should be possible even without root, because the apps that are already available, can work on non rooted phones. All I want to do is change the color. That ought to be a piece of cake for someone familiar with the inner workings of the jelly bean ROM! If root is required, then so be it! either way would really rock!
I hope someone will jump on this and make it an aroma with color options when flashing....Just change the color!
Thanke!
Like the idea, but to get better help with this you're better off putting it in themes and apps section.

Thanks! I didn't know where the post would be most effective. Maybe a mod could move it there, rather than me double posting.
Thanks!
Hope there is someone that can do it for us!
Aloha!
I let them no, hope someone helps you out.
The Themes and Apps section is really for releases, mods and apks (once you boil it down). This is more of a request type thing. Maybe I can put it in Q&A?
Thoughts?

Also you can check out the general Android Themes section too. IIRC in the old days, we used to use Metamorph and ZipThemer and you could use the correct xmls and they would replace your pre-existing files in the Framework-res.apk and make a redo.zip (only ZipThemer did this) that you could flash. But like I said that was in the old days before we ever had a systemUI.
I wasn't too sure but thought metamorph was his best bet. I've personally never used it... Q&A is good though, I think.
Title says it all. I'm on wicked sensations 4.1 with the 23 toggle lidroid framework. I would've posted in that thread, but I don't have enough posts.

Which icons are you wanting to change?
I'm able to change them all just fine, but the signal, Wi-Fi, battery and clock are tight together and the silent, vibrate and alarm icon in the status bar seem to have more space between them. It's not really a big deal, but I was wondering if there was a way to adjust their spacing to tighten them all up. Somewhere in the system ui or framework, maybe edit something. If it's complicated, then screw it. Here's an example, if you look to the top right, it might show you what I'm referring to.
Yes boys have a small question when i use Samsung browser is it fullscreen or is a black bar on the place where the statusbar should be? Thanks! Can someone try it with Samsung browser and likely system ui tuner for me? Thanks
