Hey peeps,
Is there an app or rom which implements the pull down power manager like in cyanogen? I miss that bad boy... I'm rooted and bootloader is unlocked and running paul obriens modaco.

Same widgetzoid did the trick. There are roms out there now that will let you have it just like CM though. Check out AOKP rom and Manhattan roms. They both have what you require and are customizable like CM in that you can pick which toggles to use and in what order. Good luck.

I just flashed TeamBAMF and coming from AOKP I am missing a couple features and was curious if there is a way to mod these things myself or if youre only able to change what features the ROM has been developed to allow. The thinkgs I want to do aree:
change the soft key layoutshrink
the size of the softkey icons
move the clock to the center
replace battery icon with just a number
Just realized i posted this in wrong place, can a mod please move to Q&A?
The first 2 are extremely easy to do, the second 2 not so much. I can't really help you with the latter but I can help you with the first 2. I'm on BAMF now and have already made a couple navmods for it.
so for the first 2 how did you do it?

Can you hide navigation bar in this rom? I have battery issues in AOKP but my problem is with customization in AOKP. I can't find them in other roms. Codename is best rom for battery and performance. I just want navbar hide option and I will move back to Codename rom.

Ok, I decided to start this thread in order for these roms to get better. It's not just a question of who's the best but this thread aims to provide both groups with users expreriences in order for their roms to get better. In order for us to do that we need to state our:
** likes for each rom
** dislikes
** battery life
** other bugs
** suggestions
If you ask why I choose those to roms, it's just because they're my two favorites. Respect to all devs here us their work is simly amazing. Thread starts while AOKP is on build 3 and CNA on 3.6 release.
The only thing that I hate about aokp is their notification toggles. It doesnt fit at all!! (In the JB statusbar) while the power widget from cm10 fits like google put it in. So if aokp redisigns their toggles it would be nice.

CNA has an unroot option in the menu. Personally I prefer to have an unrooted device, but I like the customization of the ROM. It can be the best of both worlds.

See the toggles are what I love about aokp. I know I'm in the minority. Those toggles are stock jelly bean toggles just FYI.

same here, those toggles are my favorite, that power widget is the first thing i get rid of - i think it's an eyesore.
I was on CNA and its good but missing some features that I like in AOKP & CM10. Like the cm10 percentage battery and Led options like in aokp Also the navbar soft key customization. The main thing I noticed about CNA that I didn't like was, receiving text messages is slow, it takes a long time to get a text from the person. The only other ROM to be slow with receiving SMS was MIUI jellybean.

Hi guys!
I am looking for the old original stock lock screen from 4.1 (like in the screenshot). For me is the new one terrible and I was wondering if someone can make a MOD or gave me a hint, how can I do it myself. Sadly I am a noob and I can only root my phone and flash some roms and mods. I am not looking for the Holo Locker or other app. Just want the poor old stock lock.
Can someone help me pls?
Thanks in advance!
I would love to see this as an option in future Custom Roms. Lockscreen widgets always seemed superfluous to me
You can use Widget Locker to set up your lock screen like that. I actually use Widget Locker to get a look similar to the 4.2 stock look on CM 10.1 since the CM one isn't quite the same as the stock one.

I opened a thread showing how you can put anything you like on your stock rom lockscreen using UCCW w/o requiring root or BL unlock; look here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2081338&nocache=1 The only thing I haven't yet found how to do on stock rom is change the lockscreen wallpaper.
Here you go, only for stock deodexed roms. Credits to Evillisto in Galaxy nexus forum.

Beat me to it! I tried it on both my Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 4 a while back and it worked as expected. However, I disable my lock screen using Lockscreen Policy so to me it's a non-issue with the 4.2 lock screen.
You can try Holo Lockscreen app from the play store.

Have you not tried xylon ROM? Or a few others that have lockscreen targets? You can set it up just like that.

Yes, I've tried the most of the ROMs, but nothing works so gut Iike the stock one. Sadly I can not get, what I want, because the my rom is odexed too...

I'd like to see the developers given an option in their ROMs for turning the lockscreen widgets on and off. I know for me right now my problem with them is if I try to check my notifications I find myself missing the drag point for the notification bar and then I end up expanding the widget. Very, very annoying.
Yes, a mod like this would be good. I especially hate how Poweramp shows up on lock screen on 4.2. Its like a small ugly box on lock screen. 4.1 lock screen had it perfect.

You can use this if you want to disable lock screen widgets and camera...
It does not give you 4.1's lock screen but gets rid of your lock screen widgets...

As for now, the only rom with customizable toggles (as far as I know) is the jedi mind trick jb rom by ptmr3, you should try the rom, it's pretty awesome.

I'm currently using JMT JB and I haven't found a way to customize toggles. Is the option hidden somewhere?

There is an app called AdvanceS in the app drawer. Your can use it to add up to 23 toggles and arrange the order.

For those of you who've tried the Google edition Roms for the M919, you know that these are some of the best ways to enjoy a stable 4.3 Nexus-like experience on our phone. I personally enjoy the VirginRom, thanks to it's stability and also the patience and kindness of its developer, Mr. Virginia (check out his thread in Dev section).
My question is, what apps or mods do people use to enhance the Nexus experience on these Roms. For example, what app is good for adding notification toggles? Is there a mod for changing quick settings? Etc. Thanks.

For quick toggles, get widgetsoid, change it to black and put notification icon to none and you have a touchwiz/jb like status bar

Cool, I'll check widgetsoid out. Haven't used it since Froyo. I was using Settings Extended, simple and nice looking. But maybe Widgetsoid allows for larger toggles.
Too bad stock Android doesn't allow for Quick Settings customization, like CM 10.1 and CM 10.2. It just makes sense.
