Any idea what this might be? It's seems like a phasing attempt to me. I can't show a pic atm but I can if need be.

post up that pic, my co worker had a weird one today too..
Have you tried removing it? If it doesn't let you have you tried to go into Titanium Backup and deleting it from there?
http://partners.handango.com/handango/home.jsp?siteId=2768
That's the website that both the market icon and search take me to. There is no application that's related to these 2 programs that I could find.

You must have installed a crappy app that put those there. Backtrack a little, what were the last apps that you installed?
Thats a tough one. I just did an odin of stock then back to 2.7 calk with ICS theme. I installed about 30 apps not through titanium. I keep a running list and no apps have changed in at least 60 days. Hmm
Your phone has a bug... Factory reset and don't install the "Sexy Time You Have Won a Million Dollars From a Nigerian Price Angry Bards Random APK On The Internet" app this time.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using Tapatalk
Handango.com is one of the VERY first app markets out there, long before android came about. We're talking palm pc, even before pocketpc which was before even Windows mobile.
It's just YET another marketplace to spend on apps. Think amazon market, Samsung market, etc.
On the other hand, no idea what you installed that got you their market. I HAVE heard of a few apps installing this that came from pirate sites.

I have a Vibrant and after letting the real Market run updates on a bunch of apps, I ended up with these same two icons.
Download Addons Detector and it will list all the advertising and other junk associated with every app on your phone.
I had that happen on my niece's tablet. It's caused by an app. Just drag and delete the market since its not an actual app but a shortcut to the websites page and then set a new homepage in your browser since the fake market overwrote yours.
Sent from my SPH-D710 using XDA App
Yep this is what I did. I deleted them and cleared my internet cache and so forth. I do find it strange however, because I don't visit any pirate sites at least that I'm aware of. Since delete nothing has come back. Thanks for the tips.

I got those as well...but can't remember what app I installed that had them...I think it was a wallpaper app for me

Any body have this issue? I have tried everything multiple hard resets, clearing cache/data and uninstalling updates. I have searched and found nothing in regards to this issue only that people reported apps came back after a few days, mine on the other hand has been weeks so I have to manually search for my updates which sucks. Any ideas would be much appreciated I'm running complete stock and have sent multiple emails to Google's support team or what they call support with no answers

How or when did this happen? Did you just open the market one day and see this or was it after a new phone or rom flash? Did you check the market website and try clearing out the registered devices?

Thank you very much going to gibe it a go right after the Vikings game, I did go to the online market and its weird it shows all the phones I've ever used and carrier being sprint but on the sph-d710 it shows no carrier little odd
Sent from my SPH-D710 using xda premium
Made the call, they say this is a known issue affecting any and all phones on all carriers with a fix in the works, not sure if I can completely buy in on this as no one else here has the same issue (so far) and none of my customers have had the issue either. Hopefully no one else is affected but it seems like it could be random

Anyone noticed at times when using the internet 9 on windows that if you try to back out of a page you can't . On XDA.... Not talking about other sites..
When you right click the back button 4 ads seem be already clicked even tho you didn't click any . Seems like some topics or forum's ads are preloaded into the links.

Google chrome + Adblock =
In all seriousness though, I don't use IE9, and never had an issue like yours on Firefox or Chrome
Got the same problem, only on XDA and it started about three weeks ago.

Why should I change my browser of choice for one offending website?
Get rid of the liftdna BS!
I like internet 9 no issues with it just don't like how pages will hang to you can't back out . Because you are kinda forced on clicking ads that you don't wanna click on due to it being embedded into links.
I know sites make money off ads nothin wrong with that . Just wish it wasn't snuck in like that lol. Anyways hope you guys have a good weekend
See alot of that liftdna... Wonder what that is for?
Happy I haven't ran into any talking ads in awhile tho

The ads are way too much. Like most said I dont really mind ads but I hate the ones that block and have a small ass X I cant hit that on my phone browser and I hit search everytime until I get pissed enough to use my PC instead. Is there a way to block them on the phone browser as well? I am trying to download a rom from the site on my phone itself and cant hit the damn x

If you have bought an app from the Play Store then it is linked to your Google account and you don't have to pay for it again.

Facebook has enough issues trying to get there mobile app working correctly. I can just imagine the issues they will have with this.

Unnecessary pretty much. Knowing Facebook, they'll add ads eventually and secret cookies collecting data from your pics and contacts.

I'm not downloading it. Don't see the point of it. I hope Samsung don't ever make it apart of the system. Do Facebook really need this much access to your life?
I love the 90s. Good times.
unless the only thing you use your phone for is facebook why would you want this? can it even make calls? looks gaudy from the video in the op.
Facebook is wack as hell and just another way for people/the governemnt/etc to stalk the shi* outta you. I deleted mine in the summer of last year. Too much crap for me, I stick with Twitter 99% of the time and once in a while I'll go on Instagram.
It's way too intrusive and I don't just mean in terms of your privacy it just made me think that my phone isn't an android anymore it's a facebook phone, kind of like the myspace phones that came out a while ago. If I feel like going on facebook I'll just stick to clicking my app, I don't want it in my face everytime I unlock my phone
I don't want this anywhere near my phone based on the discussion above and the fact that its highly unnecessary.

Facebook should just come up with their own os and stop trying to take over android

I somehow feel like xda-developers forum members aren't really the people that Facebook is targeting with this launcher.
It looks slick enough, although I don't have an FB anymore to really test it with. Will have to see what my girl and some of my friends say about it.

See you!
Sent by the force with a CM10.1 device!
I don't see using it myself, but there are those people that still live in Facebook (Grandmas, lonely people who's best years were in high school, those people you see in clubs and resturants sitting together but all looking at their phones, or only got a smartphone to access Facebook mobile). For them, its not bad.
This is their dip in the water to see if there is interest in a Facebook backed OS. If enough people want to see all Facebook all the time, I think Facebook one day will make their own OS so they can do Android-like and IOS-like data mining.
No thanks

Hello to all,, I have my tab pro 8.4 rooted. I don't remember installing anything called snoopwall and don't see it in app manager either.
What is this and where did snoopwall come from, and can I remove it ?

Dunno how to remove it (yet), but maybe it hitchhiked in on another app? I hate when app makers bundle other stuff in their apps but it happens on occasion.
EDIT: Ah, think I found out why you can't remove it. According to:
https://snoopwall.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/201186946-Why-is-the-uninstall-button-greyed-out-
"SnoopWall needs to be an administrator of your device in order to block access to ports. This means that the administrator access needs to be removed before uninstalling. To do this you should go to security under settings and then click device administrators then uncheck SnoopWall. After this you should be able to uninstall SnoopWall just like any other app."
Mee too
I am having the same experience on a S4. Anyone figure out where this came from?
I don't have an entry under Application Manager for Snoopwall, nor does Titanium see it.

After I flashed a custom ROM it went away, so I figured it was from Samsung

So I removed the notification then logged back into it and it popped up again

If you bank at a Credit Union and have Installed their APP. More than Likely it installed SnoopWall. Go to the APP and find the security setting and you can set them or turn SnoopWall off.
