Take my advice bro..............Symbian hasn't reached the calibre of android till know. So it would be better not to have it now.
Why do you wish to ditch Android?
And anyways, what's the point in buying HTC if you need Symbain in it :/ Might as well go for Nokia phones :|

HTC One X - easy to root?

I haven't had a HTC phone, normally only Samsung so I was wondering whether you think it will be easy to root it?
Thanks

Well it depends When we GEt our Hands on it .. i think it will be little tuff this time as different kinda mods hang in which we need to remove the battery but the creators of HTC make it to a Unibody that is The problem i think >>>!!! Lets see :

I was hoping for a response like this, being a Samsung lover, I know Samsung are good at supporting the Dev community so I was asking this to see if someone could give me an insight in to how HTC are with Devs?
Also how is the themeing on HTC phones because I know Samsung phones get themed quite easily?
Thanks

Would you like to see Sense 4 on our devices ?

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=27738474&postcount=336
I am starting a poll.
So, user shaky156 said that he would try to port sense 4 on our devices, if we get enough votes.
He has already ported for desire/incredible/nexus, so I believe he's a smart guy.
Declare yourself, vote, and who knows, maybe we're lucky enough to have sense 4 in the end.
of course I want!
maybe he can work together with the wfsdev-team
Me too

it's only 33, I didn't know Wildfire/Wildfire S doesn't have alot of users, so IF wildfire & Wildfire S atleast get a total of 100 combined, then I'll attempt it

A serious question, why don't you just join our git and work on what's working so far instead of wasting time porting from scratch?

We actually don't have anything to do with wildfire, that phone is a bit different then ours.
It has less RAM memory, and screen resolution is different..

I think the chances of you even booting it are slim, but I see no reason why I can't click it.
and somebody should realistically put this in there sig if they want more votes.

Disable stock apps you don't use.
Disable sync for apps you don't need.
Buy a battery case.
Also read the other battery helping threads. There are few here.
etc.

battery drain

hello my friends
i installed the 4.2.2 roms
i tried the following:
Android_Revolution_HD-One_X_31.0
One_X_4.18.401.2_odexed
its awesome, the hox is very smoth and fast
i am so happy but the big problem is the battery, it drain so damn fast
any help plz:crying:
How long ago did you flash the Rom, did you give it a chance to settle a bit? How many battery cycles did you go through before your conclusion?
Did you try and find out what drains your battery using a Battery monitor app?
Also this question should be in general section, or the thread from such you downloaded the Rom. Something to think about when you open a thread next time
Verstuurd van mijn HTC One X met Tapatalk
its two days for every rom
i recharge once every 6 hours
Give the rom 4 days... I have just 15 hours and 2 hours display on

There is a process that keeps the cpu awake, this disables it.
