Just look around. There were just 2 recent threads with literally the exact same question. GV is built off of CM7 so they are very similar.
Lol... okay a better idea. Try both rom and see for your self. I mean you will see the diffrence.

Hi all,
Just wanted to know what the best option for overclocking a dhd was. I want to use stock voltages and was wondering how far you could push it before it becomes unstable.
Sent from my HTC Desire HD using xda premium
1.3 GHz should be possible with the stock voltage.
Sent out of my Free-Candy-Van. Your kids are safe in there. Trust me.
Thanks for the reply buddy. Guessing there is no risk of cpu damage due to stock voltages too

If you're talking about GB...the only one available for us is GingerTiny
Which kernel has the best data speed and battery life
Sent from my PC36100 using xda premium
That's a hard question to answer, seeing that not any two phones are exactly alike. But with a little bit more info, such as are u on sense or aosp, gingerbread or ics, someone can point u in the right direction for a good kernel.

Well...
ICS: Mason kernel; .14 worked for me
Gingerbread: Tiamat 3.3.7 or 4.1 , Mason G series
Sense: Didn't run sense, but the peeps like the underworld sense kernel
@teh roxxors, its good to see ur name popping up around the og evo forums. How's ur sgs3 treating u?

I believe that is a sense rom, am I correct? If so I'd recommend the underworld kernel.
Edit: yes its a sense based rom, try the underworld kernel.

What's the big difference from sense and non sense I've always gone back to sense roms because everything works
Sent from my PC36100 using xda premium
Nonsense roms are sense based rooms with all the sense elements removed. So u get the sense rom stability, with the customization of aosp
Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk 2
Ultra has 2 roms sense and non sense I'm using nonsense and its good as hell
Sent from my PC36100 using xda premium
That's one rom I haven't tried yet, I'll have to give it a shot

My recommendation.
MildWild CM-7.0 JG Stable + MildWild CM 7.0 Beats + ManU HAVS-AXI-128 kernel
Set the lowest CPU FQ to 128Mhz, highest to 998Mhz and choose smartassV2 governer and voila.
You have a good looking JG style ROM with great sound for music, nice, fluid and smooth performance and great battery life.
gona try it..curently i use mildwind v 4,8..pretty happy whit it

I have tried both, never noticed any difference between them, BFS is supposed to be somehow better, CFS is on the other side supposed to be more stable, I think they both work very similar, and you won't notice any difference. If you want to experiment, flash one version, use it for a few days, and then flash the other version and use it for a few days. If you notice that one suits your phone better, use that one. But I really think that you won't notice a difference. I'm personally using CFS.
