So I'm using Launcherpro on MIUI so I can't install any MIUI widgets/gadgets so I'm trying to figure out how to install some awesome photoframe widgets I downloaded. Can anyone help me out?
You can't use miui widgets on different launchers. :/

yes I understand that but I'm unsure if the widgets I downloaded are specifically for miui. If I were to find widgets for sure for launcherpro, where would I install them? I used to see a Launcherpro folder but don't anymore.

I am trying to figure out how to install my friendstream, messages, and calendar widgets while running ads launcher. Is this possible or are their framework issues?

Assuming you mead adw launcher, you cannot run htc widgets, as adw isn't technically a sense launcher. I believe you can get some widgets off the market that will work though.
Yeah adw* and I figured it wasn't sense based and also I have the .apks in my app folder, I just don't have the option of setting the widget. Anyway to add them in the list of widgets for adw through astro?

I suppose it's possible, but I still don't think they will work on ADW. I don't use Astro, so I don't know if adding them is possible.
Is there any way to install miui launcher to a sense rom..that would be the ultimate..miui home launcher is the most stable n fastest that I have seen..zeam launcher is pretty close to it..adw,launcherpro or golauncherEx has the most customizing settings..what launcher do u guys mostly use

You could prob try taking it from the rom, the zip file unless it doesnt want to install. Personally, I use ADWLauncherEx.

I'm getting really tired of HTC Sense, and I don't really want to mess around with launchers at the moment. I'm wanting to basically disable Sense and revert it to the basic android look. Anyone know if this is possible on and unrooted Evo 4G running 2.3.3? And if not, is there a really good launcher that will imitate that look?
well to start, if you "turn off" sense you will need a launcher. Launcher 2 would look the most like what i think you are looking for. just remove all widgets from homescreens on sense and select that launcher as the default.
or
you could flash one of these
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1092221
they have most of sense removed.
or
try an aosp rom
I second Launcher2. I was never a fan of the bloatware we know as sense.

I tried looking up Launcher 2 in the market, but i couldnt find it.
Yea me too. Try Gingerbread Launcher free or Android 2.3 Launcher (Home).
Alternatives are ADW, Go Launcher and Launcher Pro. There are also themes for the launchers to customize them further.
The following are themes to make the launchers look more like stock gingerbread
ADW - here or here
Go Launcher - only found 1 theme but had bad reviews
Launcher Pro - here

I'd recommend Launcher Pro, there are tons of free themes for it and you can customize almost everything. Both Launcher Pro and ADW are both good, I would try both (they are free in the market) and see which one you like better. I used sense exclusively until I found Launcher Pro, I preferred it over ADW. If you want to completely get rid of sense, then the only option is to root and check out the senseless ROMs that are posted in the development section, or the AOSP ROMs.
Edit: I didn't fully read the post lol

Okay, the touchwiz launcher didn't install at all and the Motorola homescreen launcher FC's every time even if I put it in system/app. I installed it on my skyrocket in system/app and it works there but the circle widget doesn't work.

Yeah but the circles widget won't work at all. And it's not just from this either, I found another thing with the launcher along with the widget and it won't work. It says problem loading widget and under it it says the widget won't work on 3rd party launchers.

First, I'm not as tech. savvy as you all here. I'm just a person who doesn't like HTC's Sense design and I'm not sure on how to get rid of it so I can have the true Ice Cream Sandwich experience.
So, I tried the idea the person had here: lifehacker.com/5600912/turn-off-htcs-sense-ui-on-your-android-phone. I went to homescreen and nothing changed at all. Then I looked through all of my apps only to find that there is no launcher.
I'm really iffy about downloading another launcher as that sort of defeats the purpose of trying to get/find the default launcher that should be here. What should I do?

Thanks but what are those? Are those alternate launchers? I don't want to use any alternate launchers, I want to use Android without all that extra stuff.

Alright, thanks for clearing that up. C: Just tried out the Nova launcher and it already works just a little faster and looks much nicer.
Well I feel the oposite. I'd rather have Sense than stock ICS launcher.
