[Q] Can I help me about "Lock the device"? - HTC Excalibur

Hi guys,
First post, so, firstly, hello! I've been using this website for a while,
I have a question that need to help.
I'm using S620 n I have installed App F-Secure Mobile Security to Anti-theft only.(this app will send a private message to me when SIM changed.)
To enable Remote Lock Function, I must set my S620 locked.
However if the device locked, when U start your device, it will require to type your password. How must I do to disable this func. when starts. Because when my device is stolen, if it locked, the theft can hard reset all.
It want to be a Remote Control and a Remote Lock that the theft don't know!
I tried to search and found "Device Lock.exe" and "Device Lock.mui" files in Windows Folder but I can't open Device Lock.mui
Thanks!

[Q] IP Cam Viewer wrong read phone state access?

Hi everyone,
I have purchaced the paid version of Ip Cam Viewer.
Before downloading the application the authorization for PHONE CALLS: read phone state and ID was not asked via the android market interface.
Once the application was installed I could see in the apllication settings that the app had the "read phone state and ID " access.
I have contacted the developper who told me that this permission was not written in the app code.
Another user with the same app told me that the Read_Phone_State wasnt displayed in his settings menu so the problem really comes from my phone.
I have a G2 (Desire Z) running with Android 2.2.1, if someone with the same phone
could perform the test with Ip Cam Viewer Lite I would be very grateful.
Thank you for your replies.

[Q] Remotely enabling GPS bug

Hello guys, I have Avast Anti-Theft installed and working in my rooted Arc-S phone using Android 4.0.4 Build number 4.1.B.0.431 with locked bootloader.
When I send the remote command LOCATE from the avast web, my phone just prompts with:
"Will collect anonymous data while using GPS. Data transmission charges may apply"
And, if the thief is clever enough, he/she will press NO.
Any workaround for this?
Thanks
This idiotic message appears to me whenever i'm driving and need GPS to run. I hope there is a way to take it off.
Imagen 1 year of using the phone and it will keep asking the same dump question.
It's standard on android over 2.2. Probably intended as a security feature.
If you're rooted, you can install secure settings and the helper thing in that which can enable GPS without that message.
Settings - Security - Device Administrators
Make sure your anti-theft app has Administrator rights ticked there.

how to delete guest user

hi
how can i delete or disable guest user?
i set a pass for this user but when i switch user. in lock screen device ask: do you want to reset user profile and when i push yes button than password of this user is now gone.
whit this situation anybody can access to my data.
i have
p601 5.1.1 rooted
I don't think you'd want to completely delete the guest user. I had 'disabled' the guest user I thought and the guest user was invaluable to me, just today. I'm running a rooted SM-P607T and I had an issue were my lock screen pin was no longer recognized and I was locked out of the device. I was able to log onto the guest user account and with the help of various tools was able to repair the lock screen pin were I could again use the device with my account...and not have to flash everything on the device.
The Guest account was a life saver and if it used by a normal user has no rights to do any damage what-so-ever.

Pin Forgot. No root. No access to USB data transfer. Don't wanna factory Reset.

I have forgot my pin which was set just an hour ago. Fingerprint won't work as I restarted my device. I can't loose data. Please help me. USB won't work as device is locked.
Right now, I'm using guest mode. Where I can't even make a call. Just can access net and can't and other basic apps. Can't install any app due to insufficient storage.
????Sorry guyz. Please Lemme know asap.
you have 2 options :
1- Access your google account , and reset your pin "as if your phone was stolen"
2- "if your device is rooted" ,,
access /daata/system/
and delete "gatekeeper.password.key" file , "after making a backup" , this should make your device work with swipe only "you will not be able to have a pin"
Need help to root

Whats problems to nougat update?

Forgot my pin and Android device manager didn't work.

Hi friends, Yesterday i just tried to change my lock pin on my M9 (running latest naugat)but somehow i forgot it after setting it up.(stupid me). Then i tried to use android device manager to clear the pin .After signing in into manager,i could see my device and it presented couple of options. One of then was LOCK.After entering into Lock, Android device manager prompted me to enter temporary password and i entered it.But it didn't work.
At one point i thought i was going to loose all of my pics, data. But fortunately somehow i managed to enter the right pin after couple of tries.
So can't android manager be used to clear the pin on M9?I would like to know if in future someone gets into this kind of problem. Thanks
Android manager is basically an emergency lock out security app which gives you the ability to remotely lock the device and destroy the private data on it before it is compromised, effectively making the device 'useless' until it is flashed. It doesn't protect the phone except for reporting its location if connected to the Internet, it protects only the data on the phone. Nothing more.
