Yeah, i like it. Only two things bothering me:
1) "swipe screen to unlock" text - totally unnecessary
2) date shown as Di.. 17 Jan.. - Di, 17. Jan would be nicer IMO. At least removing the 2nd "." would be nice.
Any chance we could see this implemented? I know there is a modified framework-res.apk provided in this thread:

Hey seo,
great idea! Delete the text should be very easy and with the date format I first have to look where it is managed.. But I will take a look at this when I have the time to!
Anybody other good ideas? What are youre meanings to the new lockscreen?

I think the new Lock is better than the old glas (Puzzle) one.
But I prefer the MiUi Lockscreen. Maybe you can add it additionally?

A: Samsung use the "RFS" file system on partitions. the RFS has a low speed on writing or reading files,[Low Buffering], we change the partitions to "EXT4" file system, for better speed and smoothing more. with RFS we may have lag when working on high loads applications. for removing the lag from phone, we convert it to EXT4.

A:You can use any deodex app over any odex rom, but you can't run an odex app over another odex or deodex version.

Q: How we can install deodex app over odex rom?
For example we want to change the keyboard to another version.
The default Samsung's keyboard's is AxT9IME.apk.
Every keyboards uses own lib [Library-file] file.
The lib file for AxT9IME.apk is libXt9core.so , and located in /system/lib folder.
1-We must remove the previous data at first,
Go to /system/app folder and remove the AxT9IME.odex and AxT9IME.apkfile.
you will receive an error when AxT9IME.apk is deleted, if you don't want to get error, just remove the AxT9IME.odex file and leave the AxT9IME.apk.

As the smali-tools are updatet now and the browser dont brakes while deodexing framework.odex
I have decided to release my MOD also for Deodexed JVR.
With the Deodexed ROM Version from Ramad you have got a good Base for my MOD.
Notes:
- That are the same MODs than in the first page
- Same Instructions and Things than for ODEXED one.
- Use this following files only for DEODEXED JVR ROMs!
- As some People have problems installing my Packs with some Kernels my way was:
Install Ramads DEOEDEXED JVR BASE with JVQ-CSC-File also from Ramad see this Thread
Install Semaphore Kernel
Install GalaxianEE Kernel
Flash my MODs

No it does not break the Browser!!!
You can read this Thread where information is given about the modding of odexed files without breaking the browser!

This also brings back the discussion about why we even deodex in the first place..

Everything is possible to change without the framework.jar/odex because editing framework.odex brakes the browser..
so if that are only changes in android.policy.jar/odex it should work!

No the problem is not to enable all animations! I think you did come from a deodexed jvr base, could that be? Tell me what ROM you have flashed exactly and I can make a restore file for you..
But you have to read the instructions carefully than nothing can happen!

the odexed JVR from samfirmware. the first of the 3. (the one with the name, not the darky and the other)
when i deleted some system apps, i also deleted the odex file.
for example,
if i wanted to delete "dualclock.apk", i aslo delete the "dualclock.odex"
is that a problem?

In case of dualclock it is no problem, but you have to be very carefully while deleting system apps.. I make a restore file for Stock Odexed XXJVR! Give me 5 minutes..

As deodexing works properly with the new smali tools I decided to release also the deodexed files..

- modified android.policy.odex with extended power menu.
- modified icons of a few apps: (Browser, Camera, Contacts, Dialer, Messages)

How-To Install:
- You must have a Kernel with CWM2 or 3 (e.g. CF-Root, SpeedMod or Semaphore)
- Go to Settings -> Display -> Animation and make sure it is set to "All animations"
- Choose the right .zip
- Copy .zip to your SD-Card
- Reboot in Recovery
- CHOOSE: install zip from sdcard
- CHOOSE: choose zip from sdcard
- Choose the .zip file from your scard
- CHOOSE: Yes - Install .... .zip
- Phone will flash files.
- Reboot your Phone

I havent changed anything in the systemui.apk so in general you can add a one from somebody else.. if you only want to change .png files you can do that without decompiling but you must not add files!

No, in my versions will be no overglow because with odexed roms there are problems with overscroll and I think the overscroll effect from samsung is real nice.. Overscroll-Glow is not really better in my opinion..

He asked via PM but here for all:
I decided to not support TW4 anymore because I always had problems with it. If you have to much apps on the homescreen it lags and if it is closed by the android sytem due less ram it freezes the phone and the phone reboots..
I personally use zeam launcher from the android market which is fast, stable and useful.
For everybody who want to use TW4:
Go to fr4gg0rs TW4.5 Thread and install it from there.. to have the modded icons you can simply install my icon files..
hope this is ok for everybody..

Thanks for the res pack. In the deodex-battmod-extmen-aosplock. theres a bug in the Ext menu. When power off is selected it reboots to CWM, also when you select recovery it reboots and if restart is selected it powers off.

Are you sure, this is nearly impossible I have tested all files and for me it worked the right way!

The message is always "your phone will shutdown".. but the action is different.. and I have really tested that the functions are right..

[MOD] Transparent lockscreen

Thought i'd pay something back for all i've learned here on xda-developers (something simple, i'm still learning ). So here are some transparent lockscreens for various roms. The lockscreens are completely transparent (10% opacity) except for the clock and the charging indicator. The files below are for unmodded / unthemed roms. If you want one for your theme, or one not in the list below, let me know.
Thanks to Lg_X_Modderer for pointing me in the right direction about how to make the lockscreen transparent. Thanks to everyone else who explained how to edit apk's and make flashable zip's etc.
Install through CMW from recovery.
If you previously have set a lockscreen wallpaper through the gallery, remove the file from /data/data/com.cooliris.media/files (with for example root-explorer).
Use at own risk, do a nandroid backup before flashing.

If you want to do it yourself, here's how:
I use notepad++ for editing, but any editor will work. Use apkmanager to decompile / compile framework-res.apk.
Edit res/layout/keyguard_screen_tab_unlock.xml.
In line 2 replace android:background="@color/background_dark" with android:background="@drawable/default_wallpaper".
In line 5 replace android:background="#30000000" with android:background="@color/transparent".
In line 12 replace android:layout_marginBottom="80.0dip" to android:layout_marginBottom="0.0dip".
Edit res/layout/zzz_keyguard_screen_lockscreenwallpaper.xml.
In line 2 replace android:background="#ff000000" with android:background="@color/transparent".
In res/drawable-hdpi:
Replace default_wallpaper.jpg with default_wallpaper.png. Replace zzzzzzzz_default_lockscreenw.jpg with transparent zzzzzzzz_default_lockscreenw.png (can be any png size 480x800).
Thats it.

Well, according to this post, that didn't work. So i made changes to the framework-res.apk following Lg_X_Modderer's instructions and made the flashable zip's.

Well this is exactly what ive been wanting for my clear glass theme.
Wasnt able to achieve it myself. Can you make it work for my theme?

Forgot to ask, is this for a odexed or deodexed rom? I'll include instructons when i return the file. Also got this when i decompiled your framework-res.apk: "Cant find 9patch chunk in file: "drawable-hdpi/status_bar_item_background_pressed.9.png". Renaming it to *.png". This needs fixing.

Oh im just fixing that file now. must have slipped by.
Villain 2.4.2 is deodexed i believe. Ill just check.
Im going to upload the fixed framework in a min.
Edit : ok .9png fixed. i just tested, decompiles fine.
And its Deodexed.

Boot into ClockworkMod; turn off phone hold volume up, home button and power button untill it shows the Galaxy S II splash screen. Then do the following:
Install Zip from SD Card -> Choose Zip from SD Card -> Browse to the download zip -> Apply and Confirm.

Boot recovery (volume up + home + power). Choose "install zip from sd". Select the zip you downloaded. Select yes. Reboot.

Every wallpaper you set using the gallery will have a black background. Haven't found a way to do that yet.

As far as i know every rom without transparent lockscreen support will display a black background that way. Atleast it does on lite'ning 6.1 (which i'm using right now).

ok cool. only problem im having is that it keeps my current lockscreen wallpaper and doesnt revert to the framework one. how do I put it back to the default one?

Browse to /data/data/com.cooliris.media/files and delete or move the current wallpaper file. (Atleast that works for me)

In this thread i have a collection of mods currently for the roms JW1, JVU and JW4 (odex and by request deodex).
These mods are in general for people who have stock odex Samsung firmware so I cant assure you that it will run without problems on any other custom rom.
The mods you can find in this thread are the following:

-9 lock mod (only for JW1)
-CRT-off, on animation
-Extended power menu (Reboot, Recovery, Download).
-The lidroid's 13 toggle buttons mod (14 toggles for JVU)
-Battery percentage (Stock look and Circular)-green
-Hacked touchwiz3 (Alphabetical order, transparent appdrawer, 5icon dock)
-No increasing ringtone mod
-Hacked Camera (Power button, Low Battery)
-Patched services for working bln with stock apps (sms, email etc)
-Mms.apk hack (sent time, 200 contacts add, mms conversion after 200 sms)
-Hacked Logs provider (remove sms/mms from call log)
-Fm radio Hack (usable without headphones, low battery)
-Flip to silence
-EDT tweaks
INSTRUCTIONS for all the mods:
1)Optionally make a wipe cache/ dalvic cache.
2)Install from recovery any mod you want

Note that I have a stock odex rom and all the deodex mods that i have made are untested by me. You probably will not have problem if you are using a stock deodex rom (or a custom deodex with no heavy modifications). But always bare in mind that you take the risk. SO NADROID backup is necessary.
Note for 9 locks mod (JW1 only):
The purpose i use EDT application is to change lockscreen patterns as I mention- so nothing but lockscreen options work on this app.
**The custom app selection on EDT app doesnt work though-I try to fix this. Nevertheless you can choose custom app without problems using darky ota application.
IMPORTANT: You must have at least 10MB free space to your system before install this mod.
This is only for odex JW1!! If you want deodex version download it from darky ota.

I am trying to keep this as stock as possible that s the reason i don'n include in the package many stuff. If you want battery % or other modifications you can visit the great site of UOT kitchen, visit the thread of AndiP (green and blue icons), or have a look on my black theme.
If you apply some other theme (apart from kitchen which will modify your current framework see above) on top of this- you will lose some mods.

I'm trying to make this mod for JVZ ODEX but I get no status bar...

First of all don t touch the SystemUI.apk IMPORTANT (I am always having problems using apktool)
The method you should follow:
1) Deodex your SystemUI.odex
2)Copy from the decompiled folded of LidroidSystemUI.apk to you smali folder.
*From the docompiled folder of lindroidSystemUI copy the folder LidroidSystemUI/smali/lindroid to your /out. So inside the out folder you should have a com folder and the lindroid you copied
**From the docompiled folder of lindroidSystemUI.apk copy the folder LidroidSystemUI\smali\com\lidroid to your out/com. So inside the com folder you should have a android folder and the lidroid you copied.
3) I check your Statusbarservice and it was ok. So use smali to get the classes.dex
4)Put the classes.dex to your untouched SystemUI.apk and push it to your /system/app
5)from your phone now use dexopt-wrapper to create a new patched.odex file
the result should give SUCCESS.
6) This step copies the signature.
From your phone again (adb shell) do the following:
cd /system/app
# dd if=SystemUI.odex of=patched.odex bs=1 count=20 skip=52 seek=52 conv=notrunc
The result should give something like that:
20+0 records in
20+0 records out
20 bytes (20B) copied, 0.002042 seconds, 9.9KB/s
7) Now pull patched.odex and push it back to /system/app/SystemUI.odex
also push your backed up SystemUI.apk to your /system/app/
or delete the classes.dex.
Finally push the lidroid-res to your framework and quickpanelsettings to your app.
Reboot!
Tell me if it worked!

This is extremely difficult job my friend especially to odex Rom (unlike with aosp lock which already is there, in this you have to modify strings, values android policy...). I don't have so much time to handle such a difficult task .

My method is different but I guess will produce the same output... just that I missed the step about copying the signature. Anyway, I'm so happy about my first mod! (not really mine actually ) I'll try to make an update zip, maybe someone else need's it.
