Does anybody know of/ have a screen protector that covers the entire glass on the GNex and doesn't have orange peel texture?
Diztronics. Their previous screen protector went almost edge to edge but people botched and moaned about it. It was good because. It went edge to edge to the tpu lip therefore you don't get premature peeling or bubbling so it lasts longer.
My grandma beat me down and took my nexus. Sent from a jitterbug with beats by dre.
I did an extensive amount of research and found people liked Martin Fields. Almost all others had some type of complaints.

So I am terrified of scratching my screen so i went into the VZW store today and got their anti glare screen protector. I've never put one on, or used one, so they did it for me. They didn't do that bad of a job, there's some loose spots around the edges, but I was more disappointed by how the screen looks now. You can definitely see the protector, even more so during white or light colored backgrounds/apps.
This is fine for now, as at least im protected, but can anyone recommend one that doesn't do this? I'm not familiar with them as this is my first time.... but i want my screen to be beautiful again!
I don't think you need a screen protector. The screen isn't Gorilla Glass, but I'm sure it's right near it in quality.
There's a bunch of people who already scratched their screens...

Can someone move this, wrong forum
Verizon sells two types of screen protectors
1. Antiglare protector
2. Clear protector
I suspect that you got the antiglare protector from your store. The upside to this one is that it cuts glare, has a smoother slide but can affect visibility of on screen apps like you notice.
Go back and buy the clear protector as I have no issues with it. if you think you may have problems putting it on yourself, then you can always pay 2x the price for a single Zagg protector in your local mall.
Good luck
i also got the anti glare one from verizon but the grainy/static look is starting to bug me im thinking of just using the phone naked

The grainy-ness really cheapens the screen. I would suggest going and buying a better screen protector. That's what I'm doing. Not going naked for a few months.
I as well got the anti-glare screen protector at the Verizon store and I hate it, I can't admire the screen because it looks like crap with the screen protector on. I went to the Clear Coat screen protector stand at my local mall and they said they should have protectors for the Galaxy Nexus in about a week and I plan to just do that instead of living with this anti-glare crap.
I'm going to order a replacement one on Amazon tomorrow, any suggestions? I don't want one that has to be wet to apply. I don't want to even know its there...
Are you sure this isn't gorilla glass? I had the Nexus S4G and the Epic 4G and the Epic Touch 4G. Non of these phone ever got scratched. There was a thread describing what it would take to scratch the gorilla glass but I can't find it.

It's not Gorilla Glass but it is a reinforced glass. It would be extremely tough to scratch this screen.

do a quick search theres several people who have already scratched it just from putting it in their pockets
This glass is SOFT, and scratches very easily. I baby all of my phones, and I managed to get 3 minor scratches in a mere 3 weeks. My OG Droid and Nexus S went a year each with no problems. I hate screen protectors, but I ended up getting one because again...this glass is SOFT. I have the regular Verizon one, and I'm quite happy with it.

Yes, it's the normal, not the anti glare. I'm surprised at how clear they are. I bought it as a temporary solution, but I'm pretty sure I'm just going to keep it. It looks and feels great.

Nice, think I'll be able to return my antiglares for the normal? I dont want to pay again.

If it's a corporate store, I think you have a shot. Just tell them that you didn't want the antiglare in the first place and it ruins the phone. If it's one of those authorized dealers, I doubt they exchange it.

Hi,
I recently purchased a Samsung Galaxy Nexus GSM version, and I wanted to buy a protective film for the screen, but at the moment are a bit undecided!
I am torn between the film HD of BodyGuardz and the film of Ghost Armor, which one do you recommend ?
thank you very much
If you'd consider a cheaper protector I'd recommend terrapin. They can be found on eBay for really low prices and I'm more than happy with mine.

I think I'll buy a xoskin for mine sgn
But you had films of Bodyguardz or Ghistarmor ?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA App
I like the ones verzion sells, they don't yellow, easy to install, and last a while. Oh, and they are cheaper.
ok but do you apply a film by the wet method, involves some risk for the Nexus ?

Has anyone found one that protects the whole screen?

XO skins. It is a wet application though.
Very happy with it
I bout the SGP, and it's great.
Are any of these screen protectors matte? My GF has a matte protector on her 4S that I really like.
Hi I recently got my verizon galaxy nexus, and really don't like cases but I would like your personal opinions on screen protectors( witch brands or models you like or dislike) lastly what do you prefer wet or dry install?
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using XDA
really? another one of this threads.
This is getting ridiculous. You really should search a little. There is like 50 of them in the accessories and in general. But the cheap eBay ones are fine and feel better then zagg or xo and don't have the Orange peel effect. Do not get the Verizon ones unless you can't wait. The screen will scratch easier then gorilla glass phones. I know from experience.

actually the verizon screen protectors are not that bad....I have one on my nexus and there is not a single scratch on it...it is non tacky and feels smooth ......and I have had it on from Dec 2011 until today...check out the pics.....

I have it on as well. The clear ones and it is good but also has a orange peel look to it.
XO is a very good and popular screen protector.
Try the realook screen protectors. I just received them yesterday and they're great.

I'm pretty excited about the Fantom tempered glass one myself, though it's not out yet so we don't really know how the experience will be.
XO Skin.
And nativi is right; please search before posting next time.
Sorry for not doing the best job on searching, please except my apology but other than that thanks for your answers!

none to be honest. but if i had to pick one it would be xoskins
Realook would be my first choice if I wanted to splurge for the perfect fit/cutout. Haven't actually tried it for the Galaxy Nexus but it was THE BEST screen protector I'd used for my Galaxy S II.
Aduro MEMBRANE would be a very close second for cheapest and best bang for your buck. Plus you get 3x!
I tried xoskins and it's too rubbery/bubbly/not as clear! I don't know how you guys like it. Try the Audro for cheap and it feels SOOOOO much better.
$5.95, free shipping and you get 3x. That's less than $2 each!
You must not have waited for it to dry. I have been using XO Skins for a long time. I value quality over quantity ever time.
dont use screen protectors, ruins image quality.

I'm 100% sure you didn't wait long enough for it to dry.
It should appear as if there's no protector at all. The texture is slightly less smooth than naked screen but it's nowhere near rubbery.

The Aduro's are pretty decent but I find the adhesive to be extremely inconsistent.
depends on how u carry your phone..
in pouch... no screen protector or case
in hand... case with anti slip
in pocket.. screen protector and or case

Zagg is good also for filling in scratches. Most liquid/solution based screen protectors are your best bet.

Yeah all wet apply will fill in the scratches but all wet ones have to orange peel to a certain extent
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda premium
I recently replaced my (no-name) matte screen protector with a ghost armor skin on the display. There was a scratch there from my first weekend with the phone that's completely invisible now. There's no orange peel effect with the ghost armor either.
xoskin and sgp flex you should try out. xoskin is almost without orange peel. sgp flex has slight orange peel but it is slightly smoother and less rubbery than the xoskin
I've never tried the solution-based protectors. Are they difficult to apply?
No just follow the included instructions.

Recently got the rock case and really like it. Definitely alot better then the incipio scyrillic dual I bought before. But I'm a bit worried about the screen and the top and bottom being unprotected.
Any suggestions? I have been hearing about glass screen protector (saw a video on the xda homepage even) but haven't found any that have good reviews yet. As for the top and bottom I was thinking some kind of shield maybe?
What are my options?
Thanks alot,
Alex
P.s. I got a blue s3

Blue S3 for the win!
Does not have to be a glass screen protector necessarily just a good screen protector that doesn't change the look and feel of screen too much and won't peel off with the case!
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda premium
Does it not peel up on the curved edges? And does it cover the entire screen surface? I hate when you can see the protector around it all
