Was there a new web browser released recently ? With the bookmark tab built into it easier to access.
Or do you recommend a better browser?

Do you not like the current browser? This is the first time I have selected the stock browser over Opera. It is simply very good in my humble opinion.
Do you not like the long press on the back button to pull up the bookmarks?

Try ICS browser +, from the market. Slide your finger from the side of the screen to access all the quick shortcuts

Hold your finger on the post, a pop up should appear showing a number of options.

Indeed. Thanks for that.
(It's a little buggy though. First there is no reaction from Tapatalk on having "thanked", and the status doesn't update. Trying again produce a cryptic error message. I had to go check on a PC to see that the "thanks" was actually applied.)

Just wondering if it had been made possible that when you click a link for the xda forums that instead of the browser launching the xda app launches?

So you mean, if you press a link in the browser or email, you want it to open in XDA App? I don't think there is a way to do that from a technical standpoint. Interesting thought, though.

That is exactly what I mean, mainly from twitter and facebook apps as this is where I generally click links from on my phone. It'd be cool to click on a forum link and it ask you if you want to open app or browser.

Won't work I'm afraid. It would be messy, as we would need to write a handler overlay to intercept ALL URLs, and detect if they were XDA ones. If so, somehow open tapatalk to the right place. If non-XDA, we would have to pass them onto the browser.
It would be messy, though perhaps possible, but not really a good idea.
If someone could repost this, all I ask for is credit.. ..and maybe a thanks as this app is no longer available on the market and its pretty sweet.

Its hard communicate exactly what it is with a screenshot and I'm not rooted yet but when I do root I'll post a screencast until then feel free to check out this website, it was a free app. ..just not on the market anymore.. . you will have to allow for unknown sources.

Do you mean a screenshot? You don't have to be rooted to take a screenshot on the nexus 7, just hold down the volume rocker and press the power button!

No I'm familiar with the screen shot functionality but I don't normally see a screen shot of a "live" wallpaper very useful I'm talking about "screen cast" look it up its in the play store...it allows you to basically record your screen movements like so.....
This is one I did for a Team VeNuM on the Epig 4g touch (aka SGSII) Thread. http://youtu.be/7_NGzinDpBk
My thanks/post ratio is decent I try to contribute to the community when I can I live in Denver and if you haven't heard its been a little hectic around here so I haven't had much time to fool around on xda

I tried holding down volume and power, but it didn't work.
On stock browser when I hit back arrow it stays on same page most of time sometimes I have to hit it 4-5 times real fast so it will go back has anyone else had this.
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
Maybe it because the page you were visiting was redirected to the mobile version by the host, so when you hit the back button it would take you back redirected to the mobile version.

I came across this and I think it has to do with ads being shown inside of iframes. I do have blocked ads so it can possibly be related to them being blocked.
That's what I was thinking it could be the ads thanks.

I've had this problem when you back into a redirect, could be that!
Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using xda app-developers app
If you get this and it is caused by a web page redirect then you can long press on the back button to show the browser history, allowing you to move back to any point.
When trying to move up or down on my browser or anywhere.. it does not work. Only in my galary to view photos..

I haven't looked too far into it to be honest... From what little bit I have, it seems like it's just way too limited in what apps it works in. Being able to scroll by waving my hand over the screen is cool and all, but I'd rather just put my fingers another inch closer and actually touch the screen as long as I can sync my bookmarks, browsing history, etc in Chrome. To me, it seems to be too trivial of a feature to really go looking to see if some tweak or hack exists to make it work in more places than just the stock browser...
I read about small apps on Sony's website. How are these enabled on the ZL?

Well, I read on the Sony website about these apps called Small Apps. But I could not find any more details about what these actually are, or how they work. And hence my question.
There are a number of these Small Apps on the Play Store ( just search for Small Apps) . I downloaded a couple of them on my wife's ZL , but can't find them in the app drawer or how to activate them.
