That raindrop case is very clever/neat. If my Rearth slim case wasn't so damn perfect I would probably pick one of those up.

Do you have the GSM or CDMA? If CDMA does it give a good lip over the front edges?

I have the GSM version on the way should be here tomorrow. The only case I have now is the qubit s curve which I'm selling now. I have a diztronic rev3 on the way and one of the raindrops on the way as well.
I also ordered the extended slim battery mentioned in the OP. The site has alot of nice cases/accessories for both models.

I've got the GSM version. The Rearth case fits it perfectly but I think the VZW version has some fitment issues.

I'll probably just grab a D30 case when they come out. Had one on my GS2 and has held up to being dropped on a daily basis just fine.

The screen on this phone will be pretty easy to shatter if dropped on one of the corners. A case that absorbs the impact is optimal. So bumper cases, jellies, and silicone frames are great.
I'm hoping the bf will print me a case.

[TRIDEA] ALLKE SF Coating case ROCKS!

The ALLKE case from TRIDEA was delivered to me 2 days back after waiting for more than a month. I must say that the wait has been worth it.
I won't be able to link to the images so I am directly attaching them with this post.
What I like about the case :
The case fits very well and feels nice and rubbery. The design on the back increases the grip and you just don't feel like leaving the phone. It's very light and it's weight is negligible. The cutouts for the power and volume keys are perfect. All in all, its an ergonomic case that will provide excellent protection from a drop.
What I don't like about the case :
It doesn't protect the top and the bottom completely.
*I am starting to like this since it does not interfere with the outlets for the power supply or the headphone jack.

I have posted pics as attachments. The only difference between the two posts is the color of the case.

I can confirm the cover is compatible with the screen protector, also from TRIDEA.

Best horizontal mode stand/dock

I've trawled ebay and seen the cheap kickstand cases but they don't really appeal to me.
. I've also seen the docks on there.
I like the quality look of the Samsung desktop dock but it doesn't look like it will take the phone in horizontal, or with a slim case either.
What are ur thoughts?

have you seen the microsoft surface? the rear has a built in kickstand. I hope ss do it with future products too, even the mobiles. I wonder if anyone out there has made back replacements for the S3 that comes with a build in kickstand, something as thing or close to the orginal back (replacing piece that covers battery).

Great idea.
I was thinking more of a dock type idea that u could use in horizontal mode with a slim case on. I bought a case with a kickstand already but the kickstand is rather flimsy and the case is a very bulky 3 pce design. (the tough /armor case all over ebay).

Has anyone tried part-swapping the Samsung Flip Cover?

I was looking at my flip cover today thinking "damn, wouldn't it be cool if I could part swap the orange flip with a gray one so I retain a totally gray note 2 with just an orange flip" then I started checking out my flip cover

and noticed on the inside it looks like you can detach the flip cover from the back plate so obviously I'm curios if anyone has attempted or maybe will attempt to do this. If you have or think you can then post here and let me know. Because if this is possible them I am going to buy a gray or white flip cover and part swap it with my orange one.

To answer yes you can...... additionally you can paint(tint) the cover with vinyl paint to any color but it has to compatible paint or it will scratch off

Alright. Thanks. I was planning on using plasti-dip spray on stuff until I can buy another flip cover and use it to part swap.

I would assume you've done this (breaking them apart without breaking anything). Can you provide any pointers to help? My clumsy self would likely end up with 8 pieces, 2 extra screws, and a random allen wrench.
