Anyone heard of this product called "Swiss Charger GPower 1500 mAh Rechargeable Battery" for Samsung Galaxy S II? Any reviews about it?
it looks very nice but cant find any reviews on it, would be keen to see the quality of it
I have been using this product. It is good...it charges your battery to almost 60% from complete 0..very useful while travelling...

I have been using the Swiss Charger GPower for more than 3 months now,
Pros
- Does the job of adding extra battery backup
- adds 40% more battery backup
- give the phone a bit of protection
Cons
- the sleekness of S2 is lost
- makes the phone heavy a bit but extra battery time is worth it
Issues I am facing
- I have a S2, GT9100G, 2.3.6 stock none rooted device, i used to find that the USB connectivity with my widows 7 64 bit was not stable,
- just after 5 min the device would not work and the driver will show "device not responding"
- removing the USB cable, and reconnecting brings back the connection
- to hold the connection, I had to keep my finger moving on the Phone screen looked as if when phone goes to sleep, the USB conenction was not waking up
I contacted the Samsung service - and as a solution the reflashed my handset, things worked fine and my phone was connecting normally with no failure
but
when i put it back in the Swiss charger and try to connect, i have the same issue - so the original issue was not with the device but with the charger
has anyone faced a similar problem? what is a possible solution?
Will appreciate a reply as changing between covers might take its toll on the phone

i utilised it to charge my sgs2..
bt aft dat it didnt showed anything..
its not showing battery level even aft keepin on charge whole night with my cell..

When you press the power button of GPower, it shows the blue indicator that it is charging, the amount of charge at hand is indicated by the number of blue indicators. but after some time the indicator does not show up (I guess this is to save power wastage). you can still see the phone being charged in the Phone charge indicator on the notification bar.
when put the phone with Gpower to charge, it looks both get charged and since the battery now is 1500+1650 the time taken goes up a bit (depends on the charger trickle rate)

Today bought this device in Spain (25 euro), was looking for it before in Ukraine, but only available by preorder.
Nice looking while SG2 inside, soft touch quite durable as for me.
Everything else you may find on above youtube video. Definitely Gpower "must have" device for long range traveler as me.

That one also good which i use now (see screenshots). The big advantage here that you can insert any capacity NiMh accumulators and also ordinary unrechargable batteries. Moreover if accumulators inserted they are charging slowly via sunlight panel + you got long lasting flashligt packed with 5 diods. Tested one time on 2500 mah NiMh accum. constant lighting time more than 24 hours.
So now I got extended battery 2000 mah + swiss charger 1500 mah + extra accum set 2500 mah = 6000 mah total power.

Brother I got a similar equipment and is not as great as you pretend to be.
Sure the price is cool, you find it with 5 dollars on wholsales but I bet it doesn't have 12 Ah, if it has 10 Ah is good!
Second: the lights are not indicating the right amount of energy recharged.
I discharged completely, and started to charge with an 700mAh charger and the blue lights went on in a 2-3 hours interval and this is not possible.
Also is not possible as you say to recharge 12 Ah battery with 1Ah recommended, in just 3 hours as you mention.
This device needs like 10-12 hours with 1000mAh to make it full, and as I said the light indicators are not precise.
When I first got it, It had some power in it for test I supose, but it was showing all 4 leds lighten up. I powered my 33% Samsung Tab 2 7inch and started to charge till it reached 77% and then died!
I put it to recharge! In few complete cycles the life time will improve, but I don't think is able to recharge a 4Ah tablet 2 times! If is getting one time is perfect! Not with the tablet open, at least!
Another thing people should know is they should use their original cables, the connectors don't fit on my tab, and on an old Sony Ericsson phone. Both of them are the wrong size!
The design is nice, the price is good, but I don't think is a good battery pack!
Another thing people should know about it, is not multitasking. If you plug in a Phone and a Tablet in the same time, is dying fast, so.. you must choose!
I recommend this product for his low price! Is not so big either, but the cables and adaptors are junk.

But isn't that always the case, you get what you pay for.
When I bought my Note 8, they offered me a deal to buy the Samsung 9000mAh power bank for about 600HKD, which is about 85USD. Expensive yes when compared to the typical cheap China stuff, but then again, I don't relish the thought of battery acid exploding on my leg. Though some might. I guess.

Well, I have this powerbank that is one nifty little gadget. Now, being a guy I don't mind carrying a bigger powerbank in my bag for those critical must charge situations. Whenever I'm out in the city and one of my female friends are around they sometimes need a quick phone charge during lunch. So I pull me powerbank out, connect a cable and plug in their phone. I offered it to a couple of my friends who are ladies to try it out and see how they liked it. It was an overwhelmingly useful gadget they insisted. Big enough to recharge their phones from Instagram,Facebook, Twitter, taking selfies or pics of their food but small enough to keep in their clutch or bag. Not only is it small but light in weight also.
Build Quality is excellent! Feels solid, nothing loose, no creaking or flex that I can tell.
If Gold isn't your style there are 4 colors to choose from:

Since the lost 2 weeks my tablet has been acting weird. It jumps alot on the battery levels, one second having 50% then 13% then suddenly 3% then plugging in the charger it has 50%.
I've tried to charge it fully then making a battery calibration but with no luck.. what should I do next? Full reset?

If you have the 8.4" it`s most likely an bad battery connection, due to an bad power connector or the part of the connector that is soldered to the motherboard coming loose, it`s an common problem with the 8.4" with people bending it while in back pockets ect, less of an problem with the 10.5" as you would need an hell of a back pocket.
Samsung knows about this problem, and according to one 8.4" owner replaced the battery connector with an more heavy duty version, some people say to solder the battery wires directly to the motherboard.
It`s quite easy to open the Tab S, lots of video`s on youtube and you just need an plastic pry tool they call an spluger or an guitar pick, I got an spluger on ebay for £1 an replacement battery is £9 an full kit is around $60 for battery and tools if you can do the job yourself.

Reset won't solve a hardware problem, it's very common in Samsung tablets : cracked or loose battery connector : male and female.

If it's not fully contact with male connector's pins, you will have battery fluctuation in capacity. The fix is simple: push the opening closer for all six cables.

I'm having this problem for a long time on my TabS 10.5". I think it's time to discard this device but I'm low of budget to buy a good tablet now, is it secure to open it and bypass battery using direct connection to charging cable from the original USB cable? There are some videos on how to do it, but none of this device.
They are not engineered the same as laptops. They always run off the battery, whether the tablet is plugged in or not. This is a series arrangement. A laptop has power source switcher inside and can run off either; that's a parallel arrangement.

Bypass the battery for direct connection
Hi,
I have a similar connector for the battery on a Samsung Tab GT-P5200.
I want to directly connect the (two) wires from USB power source and bypass the defective battery and the normal mimi USB connector.
Therefore can someone help me out with matching the colours?
Tere is just +-(red/black wires on USB) and the connector from the battery has two red, two bue and two black.
I presume at least two should charge the battery and other two should transport the charge from the battery. And the blue ones maybe for control?
Please give me your though, or maybe suggest other place on the bord co connect directly.

I recently got a Kmashi 15000mAh battery pack and I have been loving it. 15 Ah is a lot of juice for all devices I have, and I can always count on this to have some juice left. It is not just the numbers that amazed me, but I have used it for days without my charger with me. I can charge my OnePlus one and Galaxy Note 8 twice, and still have juice left to charge my iPhone and S6. This is an amazing product for people who travel a lot.

Real world performance
I have used this battery pack with two phones. I took screenshots of the battery input received from this battery pack. The first image is for OnePlus One and the other is for Galaxy S6. The battery pack doesn't support quick charge 2.0 and the maximum output is not as high as I expected it to be. The input rate measured was lower than the listed output on the battery specs section, but it definitely charged the devices pretty quickly; so, I am not complaining.

I have always wanted a battery pack that wouldn't die on me when I need it the most. I have had a 5000mAh and even a 10000mAh battery packs before this and they would die on me after two devices max. If I have to remember to charge my battery packs too, then I know for sure it is not working for me. I got this 15000 mAh battery pack from Kmashi in hopes of getting a battery pack that I can throw in my bag and forget about it. The battery in this is huge, and there is minimal loss of battery when the battery is not being used; therefore, this battery pack will keep on going with you. I have travelled with this device and my OnePlus One without my charger for 3 days, and I never missed my charger.
For all the travel lovers, keep in mind it is not a small or thin device. It is almost 3 times thicker than an iPhone 6. It is a heavy product, which you might not wanna carry in your pocket. It has 2 USB ports, but that has a catch. When you use both the USB ports together, the battery outputs a total of 2 amps, which means 1amp from each port.
In order to charge this battery pack, I used a 2.1 amp USB wall adaptor (not included in the box). The battery pack takes almost one night to charge from zero to full. It is not easy to sleep with this charging beside your bed, as it's blinking LEDs are very bright. They can brighten up a room more than any night lights you have seen. Putting an electric black tape on them while the device is being charged is a good solution.

I am confronted with a, in my opinion, strange problem regarding my P-601 Samsung Note 10.10 2014 Edition.
I will try to provide every action I took and what I figured out so far that noone that wants to help will need his crystal ball. But the first actions are about a year ago, so forgive me if I cant remember exactly.
Device: Samsung Tablet Note 10.1 2014 Edition (P-601)
Problem: Charging slow AF but lives, can be turned on, can be loaded via USB. (But more power is drained while using than can be delivered by charging = dies sooner or later while beeing used)
OS: LineAge OS
First I thought, EASY - get a new battery, done. Wrong.
I ordered a new battery, a (2) "vhbw" battery for "T8220E" - same mentioned on the original Samsung battery.
This is a year ago, In my belief I did get the tablet to run, and charge- but had the same problems regarding the charging speed. Slow AF - but I am not sure! Life happend, things came inbetween so I did put everything aside. Now I want to use it in my home gym, so thats why I came up here.
My next suggestion was that the charge electronic maybe the problem, so I ordered a new one, built it in. Didnt change anything. The (1) Original battery, is still charging slow af.
The new battery, doesnt do anything! If the (2) "vhbw" battery is built in, I am not able to turn the tablet on OR charge it. Its just a brick with this battery.
So what did I do? I ordered a new battery, from a well known german company trading parts like this, a (3) "original samsung battery". Guess what, the tablet does nothing.
So i thought, maybe your new charging electronic is the problem. So I put the (1) Original Tablet battery in again, and well - it runs, can be turned on and can be charged (slow af).
So the charging electronic is fine. Display is also fine.
I did confirm this several times by changing the batterys in and out, the new batterys (2) and (3) are "dead", the (1) original battery runs.
Right now I am stuck. It seems that my Tablet is blocking any battery besides his original one.
Note: I cant access Recovery Mode with battery (2) and (3). Its really dead. They where also charged atleast an half an hour, just in case they were delivered "really dead at 0%", which would be new to me because most devices or batterys come with atleast 25% battery status.
Note2: Yes I did use a ****load of power adapter and cables all in combination, same result.

Hello, I came here looking for recommendations for a new battery for my SM-P600. Could you tell me where you ordered your OEM one from?
As far as your problem, do you have a multi-meter? There are very cheap basic ones if you don't. Anyway, you can test the seemingly dead batteries with it to determine if they are in fact dead, or something else is going on.
Secondly, do you happen to have a hobby charger? With these, you can charge pretty much any battery L-ion or other. You can also do a drain test with most of these to determine the capacity of a battery. That is all I can really think of thus far. Determine if the batteries are dead. Oh one more thing you could do with the multi-meter is test the current being applied to the battery. I believe there are some free apps in the Google Play Store that can also tell you the electrical current going into the battery. Perhaps by doing this you can determine if the problem is something in the tablet itself. If I think of anything else, I will let you know.

Funny that you say that with the "dead battery", because I just had the same thought 10 Minutes ago. Those batterys were manufactured years ago I guess and were just sitting cozy in their boxes, I guess they are deep discharged. (hope this vocab is correct).
I have pretty much everything that is measured "useless" in a normal household, but sadly no multi-meter (no more). If those batterys are deeply discharged, it should be possible to be reanimated with very low charging power. The lowest I should have is a USB 2.0 Port on my pc (which were it is connected right now) or a oldschool dumb power bank without any intelligence).
I will keep this updated.

There have been reports of the plugs of replacement batteries for these tablets not fitting properly.
Also bad solder joints at the battery connector.
And a certain behaviour i oberved myself, requiring certain custom roms or chargers in case of my P605:
In soft-off state tablet will charge at 0,5A instead of 2A max
and
When powered on it will charge at full power until the screen switches off and it enters standby. Then no charge at all.
