This is the by now well-loved crt screen-off / electron beam animation, especially made for the XWJVW and XWJW1 2.3.6 firmwares. It's not guaranteed to work for custom roms, only for the original JVW and JW1.

Install via CWM. Make sure settings -> display -> animation isn't set to none

•What’s the CRT-Off mod?
It’s just the cool effect when you turn off the screen of Android, simulating old TVs > watch this video
•What do you have in the attached file?
In older modsthere's 2 files inside xxx.rar. One file to flash on CWM Recovery and install the mod and another to restore original condition. In newest mods there's one zip to installation and another to Restore.
•How to access Extended Power Menu (EPM)?
If you want the mod CRT-Off with Extended Power Menu, follow the links below. To access the Extended Power Menu, hold the power button then press reboot. You will find 4 or 3 options (Reboot, Hot Reboot, Recovery and Download)!
•What's MultView for all apps?
Stock Multiview only supports a set of applications contained in own Rom (Browser, Gtalk, Gallery, ChatOn, GMail..).
With this add-on, which I modified from a bala_gamer mod, you can have the CRT-Off effect , as well as MULTVIEW support for any application installed on your device. Recently Legend K95 introduced a interesting multview mod, controlled by an app. This is only to 4.1.2 Roms.
•How to use Skip Tracks?
Skitracks runs on some musicplayers as PowerAmp. Just play your music and turn off the screen. Now you can skip to next or previous track long pressing volume button (up and down respectively).
•The Crt-Off didn't work properly on 4.1.2 Roms. What we had to do? (SOLVED)
On 4.1.2 Roms Crt-Off demands a compatible Kernel. Then, we have to install a Custom Kernel (Boefla, Siyah, Perseus... or anyone that support it)
The question about Kernel is related to changing the time that screen takes to be turned off. In Stock Kernel, since 4.1.2, screen clears before the effect can be seen (when Wifi is turned off). In a Custom Kernel this time can be modified (FB early suspend delay, about 200-300 ms) for enable CRT-Off in all conditions, preventing an erratic behaviour of the effect.
•How to activate CRT_Off effect on SiyahKernel V1.8.3 (or latter)?
Go to Play Store and search for Siyah Kernel. Download STweacks app from gokhanmoral. Settings in: Screen > FB Early VSuspend Delay (set to 200-300 ms). This app is only for SiyahKernel! In Boefla Kernel you don"t need to change any settings.
•Whats MultiMod 6-in-1 ?
For those who know this mod, I built a variation of it (on Stock LockScreen), a MultiMod 6-in-1(avalilable for XXEMB1 and maybe latter)
(CRT-Off / 3Way-ExtPMenu / MultiWindow / Long-Pres- Menu-killing-apps / Torch-on-Lockscreen / Volume-Skipping-Tracks-when_Screen is off)
Works great as proposed with the torch responding immediately when the Home button is long pressed on Stock LockScreen. Skitracks runs perfectly on PowerAmp (but not whit all Players) when you long press volume button on screen-off. I really like this mod!

You can alternate the effect (CRT or Fade_out) just changing (adding) 2 lines on build.prop as described below:
for Fade-Off effect:

Sorry to ask... whats the difference between odex and deodex? Im usin dragons rom and not sure if it is deodexed....

Take a look at system/frameworks and system/apps in the Stock Roms, whit Root Explorer, and you will notice that there's always 2 elements , an "xxx.apk", or "xxx.jar" file whit your respective ."xxx.odex". This is the odexed structure. ( for example: services.jar & services.odex )
In other hand, in custom roms, developers put the odex (now denominated classes.dex) inside the apk or jar. In this case you cannot see the "odexes", then this is deodexed structure.
Deodexing is one step of custom development. Dedodexed files are more easy to modify (decompile and rebuild) than odexed.

Probably it will not. I've been waiting for the unbranded DLJ1 then I'm gonna work on the proper mod at the right time.

I would like to share a theme i remixed for my use. Credits go to various people for their images, etc. As usual please backup before flashing and i take no responsibility if you brick your phone.
This mod will replace your systemui, secsettings, lidroid toggles and some jar files. so make a backup first. Would not recommend flashing on biftor, alliance or any other roms which uses lost of mods, etc. It will work on those but you will lose some functionality. so backup backup backup
To remove mods from my package delete everything from xtras folder AND MODIFY UPDATE SCRIPT ( REMOVE ALL DELETE ENTRIES)

link is coming today.. let me compile it ..trying to make it universal but for some reason it doesn't work on all roms

Theme looks good:thumbup: If your are having problem with a universal mod I might be tempted to go with goldieking anyway buddy check pics in op looks good:thumbup:but lots are flashing ics_xd mod because of the mods. I feel there there are no good themed roms at the moment with all the tweeks IMO
Anyway just to let you know who I am I come from hd2 forum and I could do some of this myself but I have 4 kids now and it nice to just download a zip and flash it

i am sorry but i will not create any mods. YES this theme supports the % battery mod (pngs) but does not include the mod. Including the mod will not make this universal as it would mean replacing the systemui.apk file and some roms/devs add mods and tweaks to these files and they will get replaced .
If you want the mod i think ICS_XD mods are there which has the option to add the % battery

Pretty sweet...using biftor rom... Does anybody notice something wrong with sms? The message i send only highlights half the message..Not a huge deal cause I could just press on my message and it shows the whole thing on another screen..
Edit: probably my fault cause I changed the dpi to 220 I'll change it back to 240...sorry about the post..
