... INSTRUCTIONS ...
(o) Back Up your "/system/media" Folder
(o) Download Media Files
(o) Open your file manager (I recommend ES File Manager .. free from Market)
(o) Enable Root Exploration within your file manager
(o) Move the Media Files into "/system/media/" (Accept overwrite warning) - !!!This will replace your current system default sounds so BACK UP, as always!!!
(o)Reboot (Just for safety's sake - not always needed)
You now have the same sound profile as a Galaxy S II!
Thanks, man. I was looking for this. Now if someone could port some TW roms!
Thank you! Always looking for new, high quality sounds!

For those who have problem with ringtone loop, here is the simple solution to fix it
1. Download and install Audacity (source: audacity.sourceforge.net)
2. Open the ringtone file in Audacity (like mp3/wav)
3. Select Open Metadata Editor from File Menu
4. Add a new tag : ANDROID_LOOP and set the value : TRUE (see the attachment). Then click OK.
5. Select Export from the File Menu and select the Save As Type format as Ogg Vorbis Files.
6. Save file, then copy the new ringtone file (.ogg) into your phone.
Enjoy it
PS : I re-write this thread because i have trouble with non looping sound for my phone ringtone. After search in xda, i got the thread how to fix it, but it's hard to find, so i repost it. Hope this will help everyone with the same problem with me

I can't seem to find the ringtones in my phone (E4GT Sprint running dastin's Wild For the Night 2/8/13) I've looked in \ringtones, \media, etc. on both "sd" cards as well as searched for .mp3, .m4a and .ogg files and have only found the hangout_ringtone.ogg and a facebook ringtone. Am i doing something wrong?
Thanks!

Hi all!
First, I'm registered now with pleasure because I like this forum, congratulation!
Now I ask for a problem with my Galaxy Note 2 N7100 with "Pacman 23.0.0 with Halo":
I created the famous directory to contain all my personal ringtones, and after reboot, I can't select any my personal mp3 sound because see only the system sounds.
Follow all my directory structure/tests:
Code:
/sdcard/ringtones/
/sdcard/media/ringtones/
/sdcard/audio/
/sdcard/music/
I try to insert an optional external sdcard but never change...
Something wrong?
Thanks
Regards
Daniele
If I'm right it should be
sdcard/media/ringtones/ -> for your ringtones
and
sdcard/media/notifications/
and so on...

Thanks for your reply, with S. Google I've been found, more or less, the same information but never work for me.
I thinking to edit some configuration file to change the environment variable path for media folder but this is only an idea and I don't know the right config file to edit.
Another work-round could be create a symlink.. I know move in a linux-like system but not know enough android..
Can some expert confirm or deny my idea?
Hi,
I am trying to create a theme for Note 2 with Note 3 mods. I am currently using DN3 v3 rom.
These are my questions :
1. I would like to know where installed apps from play store keeps there icons "I want to change them"
2. Where are all the stock apps "pre installed apps" located ?
3. Do i need to do any xml programming when replacing the app icons ?
Please tell me the path to those locations if you know it :fingers-crossed:
Each app is an apk file, and it contains icon(s). So there is no central place where all icons are stored.
the best you can do is to create an iconpack theme. just download one (it is apk file as well) and see how it's done. apk's are just signed-zip files, so you can open them (unzip) with any app like winzip or total commander (it is harder putting it back together). There are a lot of iconpacks available, just google it.

Ever since my phone stopped working, I have changed my workflow to use my Tab S4 as a phone; which is working out well using a bluetooth headset.
I have been working on getting native call recording and wanted to share how I did it.
1. get the Samsung Voice Recorder from my other post, because the one from the play store or apk mirror will not work:
HOWTO Get Voice Recorder on Tab S4:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3952299
2. Download the attached cscfeature.xml to your tablet; move the file to your active CSC directory. Mine is at:
"/odm/omc/XME/conf/" (Yours might be a little different)
- Rename the existing cscfeature.xml to say: cscfeature.backup.xml
- copy the cscfeature.xml you downloaded and paste to this directory.
3. Reboot
4. Goto phone, settings: You should find the call recording option... I'm sure you'll know what to do with the rest
Hope this is helpful to you...
The file you are trying to download is no longer available.
