A very long word was accidentally saved in the gingerbread keyboard on another phone I had. It now is showing up in the asop keyboard's suggested words list on my new phone.... only I didn't save it on my new phone (screenshot).
Why is this and how do I get rid of it? I tried apps that let you edit your dictionary, but they only find words I've saved on my new phone.... see screenshot.
This makes me think it must be stored online somewhere. Any suggestions?
In settings > language and keyboard > android keyboard there is no option to edit a dictionary. The app I downloaded from the market allowed me to edit a dictionary but "sullivanmewsnyc" does not appear in it as I never saved it on this device ( was saved on my other device) .

I've searched and searched and haven't found solutions to the following:
Change text in upper left corner (U.S. Cellular).
Add or manage the action menu below the clock.

Add programs to the Internet menu
If not, any ideas where this data might be stored?
Thank You
good luck getting a reply.
To change your operator's name on Manila, I would look at either this or this piece of software.
For the menu under the clock, I don't know of anything you could do to it.
As for the internet tab, I would take a look at this article. I can't guarantee it'd work considering Manila's changed a bunch since it was written, but it's worth a shot.
Thanks Dave.
I was able to change the operator name using Personalizer 3.1 in this thread.

the kernel can't recognize when you are in "phone mode" so it emits the usual characters. Use on screen keypad.
My kaiser returns numbers correctly and I use ur latest kernel
Here you go : Setting - Language&Input - Google Keyboard Setting - addon dictionaries - Emoji for English word

I want emoji on samsung keyboard
For the last two weeks i started getting these strange symbols instead of the keyboard when i want to type. I can't seem to find any logic behind it or why or when it happens. It just opens that way. It happens with any keyboard. Basically that's the screen i get instead of the keyboard. Any ideas?

edit: Soo it turns out this is the stupid Emoji keyboard, which is otherwise accessed by long pressing the Enter key.
edit 2: Tried a previous version of android keyboard which is without the emoji ****, so it seems the problem is somewhere else. I just found out that when I press the left arrow it goes back to the normal keyboard.

Dear XDA friends,
I was excited to get my hands on an N1 from some user on eBAY. When I started the tablet - it was in english. Great...so I decided to have a fresh start and did a factory reset. And when it started - it was all Chinese!! How can I get this converted to English again? *feeling very stupid*
Any help will be appreciated...
First, find the "Setting" icon on your Z-Launcher main screen
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Scroll down, choose "Language and Input Setting"
Choose "Language"
Last, choose your favorite language. Of course, not Chinese I think > <
