I am interested to get this controller. I wonder if anyone can tell me if it can theoritically work on games not ported from playstation? (eg brothers in arms from gameloft)

This is partly connected to Bluez-IME. In theory Bluez-IME can emulate the Xperia controls hence Gameloft games should work with Phonejoy. However for some reason in many games just the d-pad appears to be working as of yet. The issue is known however to the dev Kenneth (http://code.google.com/p/android-bluez-ime/issues/detail?id=66) and I think he is looking into it.

I use a PS3 controller and the sixaxis app for my N64 emulator on my phone, but that doesnt allow me to to use it in games which are just touch screen controls I might have to check out Bluez-IME to see if it can help out!
I have a pretty large collection of ps1 games & was wondering if the playing experience was good enough on the xperia play running fpse? Is there noticeable slowdown?
Yeah, plays them (well most of them perfectly), just been playing Gran Turismo 2 on my XPlay, look in general forum to see which games work, FPSE doesnt work straight away with the PSX controls, you have to map the buttons, but that takes seconds
I don't know what version of FPse you are using biggary, but i've tried quite a few games on the latest FPse and i didn't have to map the buttons.
I tried FPse emulator, I tried both Resident evil and Gran Turismo 1.........
The Graphics seems to work perfectly, Renders all animations perectly, even better than android games......... I was blown away by the graphics.............
I faced problems on both games.......
I have the Digital controls set, But On resident evil i couldn't attack the zombie, I pressed all the keys but no use...... On gran turismo, I couldn't get the car to run, Which key to use.
And Can we use the touch panel to control the games, It would be awesome.
And what other games can you play on it....

well i used fpse few days ago, used tekken 3 mortal kombat 4 and some other games tekken 3 was just not playable other is good.. everything went good with controls but you just need to make them smaller
I haven't used a Playstation nor an Xbox........
So, How do you make them "smaller"?

Just wanted to get some knowledge of what works with a pad on the S3.
I'm using a £3.00p pad from Amazon, the mock ps3 one, which works suprisingly well, it's wired. No need for any extra apps to work, works in menu's too, no need for root access either, just plug and play over USB OTG.

I used a wii remote on gunman clive, had shoot and jump working as well as movement.

Oh thread got moved, i'd have thought that this be a general thing?
I'm using my wired xbox 360 controller to play games on my FTV and it works OK but there is no deadzone so controls are really touchy and in games like GTA my dude walks on his own without me touching the pad. It makes aiming nearly impossible and driving a pain in the rear. Anyone know how to set deadzone to stop all that?
I'm not rooted, I'm on latest firmware.
