Im running juggernaut 4.1, is there any kernel thats worth replacing thr bullet kernel? Already runs pretty damn smooth, but is smoother/faster/more efficient out there for jug 4.1? Thanks for your input...

I prefer faux, just a personal preference but many say faux has better battery life and just as smooth if not more.

Where can I get the faux kernel? I don't see a thread for it and have searched the development forums.

Everybody has an opinion on this. Experience has shown that each phone has differences in how well certain ROMS/Kernels work. Trust me, just try different ROMS and see which one you like and which works best on your phone.
After trying many I have settled on Myn's Warm 2.2 RLS5. It is smooth as butter and everything works well on it. I have also found Netarchy's kernels work well on my phone and give me great battery life, even with heavy usage.
Again, don't be afraid to experiment and see what works best on your phone. Always make a Nand back up before you start.
You could have used search to find any of the 6 threads a week that start up asking the same dumb question.
It's like asking "I need a car, what's the best one?"

Well, make sure you have SetCPU as fast as it will go... and ALWAYS keep wifi and bluetooth on. Set the screen to maximum brightness!
Seriously though, don't ask questions like that, nobody is going to want to help you.
Every persons experience is different man why do you ask this once a week lol. Just flash and test yourself bro its so easy a caveman can do it.

Yes, in the development section he has a thread dedicated to his under volt/over scripts. I use the more aggressive under volt scripts.

Theres always that one asshole lol I do know what Google is and how to use it. What I'm asking is for peoples experience on what is the best kernel to use in conjunction with CM9 is. What are these forums for if I can't ask these sort of questions? Someone here could save me a lot of heartache/trouble.

Thank you. Have you tried this kernel yet? In your opinion is this the best kernel for CM9 and our device or are you using JB like most of everyone else?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using xda premium
no offense, but it takes about 30 seconds to flash a kernel. Why don't you try a few and see which one works the best for you? Everyone's experience is going to be slightly different.
I flashed two different kernels before picking one, and after that I added some init.d scripts afterward that improved battery life over the stock kernel settings.

Unfortunately for your situation I am using JB like the rest because I find it more up-to-date, but I have heard really good things about the kernel I posted. Plus, with a title like that, who wouldn't flash it?

I would rather have stability than bleeding-edge any day! Contrary to my claim for the need of stability, I am going to give MIUI a shot. I tried it out when I had my G2x but there were some bugs that made that rom unusable as a dd for me. Hopefully my experience with MIUI will be much more pleasant with the S2!!
I'll flash the kernel later and see what happens. Even though I'll be giving MIUI a test run.... I always end up going back to Cyanogenmod. Always!
Thanks

I'm very disappointed to hear that! MIUI is so sleek and sexy! Why is it so damn hard to get working? ... or is there just a lack devs for that ROM?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using xda premium
When I was running MIUI my only problem was not being able to shut off the capacitive lights. I had no problems with bootloops or anything of that sort.
I get bootloops and/or camera crashes with the latest JB MIUI and horrible call quality on my end with the last ICS based MIUI. It's odd that the call quality is fixed with the JB MIUI and busted in ICS, should be the other way around lol.
Need a good rom stable fast and working 100% any suggest?

This is key.
You're going to get a different answer from almost every person. Each person has their own needs and will see each rom differently. The best thing to do is read the OP of each rom and try the ones that look appealing to you.

My phone drains 0.2-0.3% per hour on the stock kernel (on wifi with a decent router). The TW custom kernels are not worth using, in my opinion. Now AOSP on the other hand... yikes. Pretty much have to use them.

You might want to take a look at your wake locks. If you are having that drain while the screen is off, it most likely a wake lock. Search the forums for better battery stats.

I'm running HyperDrive Rom and Ktoonsez Kernel. I have tweaked much of the cpu frequencies and used the ktoon governor. However, my battery life compared to the stock rom isn't that great.
Every phone is different so will run different on your phone. I do recommend Dandroid. It now has wifi calling. Complete based on T999. It used to be a port. It's super smooth with great battery life. And it's Cyanogenmod themed.
Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk 4 Beta
There are no "best" rom/kernel combinations for battery. It varies from phone to phone. You could try testing different TouchWiz roms and kernels, but remember to make a nandroid before doing so. Some roms you could try are wicked, stockorama, hyperdrive, etc. For the kernels you should use the stock kernel for stability or ktoonsez.

I have tried, BMC, Lean And KT747. I am going to recommend KT747 as my personal favorite. It has been by far the smoothest kernel to date I have seen. It has both TW and AOSP versions.
Should you choose to go with KT747, follow the guide linked in my signature to get best configuration for the Gaming you fo.
