Nope their isn't any sense roms based on HTC that are ported to this phone yet...scratch that their are but both honestly don't work....have to wait and see what the devs are making until then. personally coming from owning all htc phones on T Mobile id love to see a sense room on this phone!!!!

Hello Dev and everyones, currently I have mytouch4g. I love Sense and want to get LGX2, is it easier to port Sense to LG firmware? Reason I ask because I never see Samsung galaxy s series, 4G, Nexus S have any Sense port all they have is AOSP rom like CM7, Miui etc... Is it because Samsung use different file system? Can sense be ported to LG? Or should I wait and get Sense phone like Evo 3d, HTC Pyramid?
Thank you

Sense isn't open source, that's why you'll never really see it ported to another device. Pretty much the only option would be to get a Sense phone.

Exactly. It's kind of like how you'll never see MotoBlur or Touchwiz on any non-Moto or non-Samsung device (although I don't know why you would want to with those). The reasons all non-sense roms are AOSP is exactly because it is open source, and can be modified and programmed to cater to specific devices.

I was hoping someone has A touch wiz rom or if someone will port a touchwiz 4.0 rom?

Not to be a buzzkill but I doubt that's gonna happen. Would be a lot more work than its worth. Touchwiz is a Samsung thing like sense is HTC. Devs have been working on a sense port for galaxy s for a long time, and while they do have one now its highly unstable. I imagine it would be the same for us to get touchwiz. I have both and personally would take sense over touchwiz anyday

would there be anyway that someone could make a touchwiz 4 rom, i think that if people can make a sense 3.0 sensation port that so can a galaxy s 2 rom, If i knew anything about rom porting i would be making my own roms, But that aint going to happen any time soon . thanks A.Davies
Touchwiz? Really? Pretty sure that's not gonna happen man

I remember when I had an Evo 4G and someone asked in the forum for it if there was development of a TouchWiz 3 ROM. I about died laughing.
Same applies here. I really don't think you're going to find more than half a dozen people in all of XDA that want TouchWiz on their G2.
Not to mention the fact that I don't think it would be the easiest thing in the world to move the proprietary Samsung TouchWiz things over to an HTC phone.
I am upgrading from an evo 4g ( which i loved but died an early death) is there any one rooting the note 2 with the sense interface from HTC? I really like that interface but I am prob just stooopid for thinking that is possible
thanks
If you run go launcher it has a sense 4 Theme.

I know it's hard to give up Sense at first.
But I actually Like TW now.
And no, technically not real Sense on any Samsung devices, as far as I know. There are issues that make (functional) porting impossible.

I had nothing but htc phones before I got my note. I was pretty skeptical about tw but I've gotta say I like it more than I liked sense. And if you don't like tw there is always aosp

Same here I loved HTC thought nothing was better than the sense UI but it all changed when I came accross my s3 and note 2

Early death, hoss? Evo4g is a Model T in terms of how badly it ran compared to anything released in the last year. As a former owner of one, how one could like Sense on it is beyond me.
In any case, get Apex or Nova or ADW and run a Sense theme, if that is your fancy.

There is a sense themed launcher in the international forum too. I was running it messing around.

U have transcended. This phone and tw are leaps and bounds above anything HTC has atm; you know it, I know it and the stock market certainly knows it. Welcome to the new era of phones (for today atleast).

Is there HTC sense based firmware available for our note-II?

That's the theme obviously. Don't know if there are any Sense based roms, seems unlikely.
Well most of the non-HTC phones don't have custom HTC Sense UI...i think that they don't share the sources and codes...

Ha ha. I was wondering how long it would be before this thread popped up. Ever single device that doesn't ship with HTC Sense must have one. I'm not sure why people don't just buy HTC phones if they want sense so badly. I'd be the first one to admit that sense is the slickest ui overlay out there but it's just not feasible to go porting it to other devices. It's closed source and just too Damn hard to do.
