hey i was reading through the guide and wanted to root my phone and i did put all the root_psn psneuter gfree etc files in the platform-tools folder and used the commands on the phone. after all i did reboot on command prompt and on guide it was written that phone will root and u need to reboot. after that my phone is stuck on htc white screen with htc logo and doing nothing. tried rebooting but no luck. PLEASE HELP ME. and on my microsd card there is no rom right now
thanks in advance...

ok try this:
connect your phone to pc and start adb... type adb devices while stucked on screen and look if your phone shows up, if it does type adb reboot bootloader
or pull battery and press power & volume down to enter bootloader
then tell us whats written in your bootloader... means is it s-off and what hboot number?

thanks a lot for your reply.
it says ENG S-OFF
HBOOT-0.76.2000 (PC1011000)
MICROP-0425
EMMC-BOOT
AVG 20 2010 16:51:01
HBOOT

ok, doesn´t look to bad.
try to enter recovery, if it works mount usb storage put a rom you like on your sd unmount and flash it through recovery
if you can´t enter recovery you have to flash recovery using fastboot: download the image and put it in your platform tools folder; go to platform tools and type fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
then enter recovery and do what i posted above...

i mounted my card and put in the runnydroid rom on it. then i used install zip from sdcard and it installed rom successfully but it is still not booting

don´t use a sense rom, take cm7... you need a different hboot for sense roms to boot (the desire z one)
EDIT: first try to boot into a aosp rom, if it works and you still want a sense 3.5 rom use this guide to change hboot: http://www.virtuousrom.com/2011/06/t-mobile-g2-users-migrating-to-desirez.html

hey i dont understand. which rom should i use? i have stock froyo rom which i used to downgrade my phone. which rom are u talking about? is it sense 3.0? will it work>?

it´s not sense, don´t use the one you have from downgrade. take cm7.1 from the link above

thanks a lot sir i am downloading and will tell if it works. i would like to know if i will be able to get back htc sense rom? i want runnydroid can u tell me how to get it after installing this rom? and if there is no way to get custom rom then at least is there way to get the froyo stock rom which i used to downgrade?

if you are able to boot in cm7 (which is a custom rom) you can install any custom rom you want... a good sense 2.0 rom for example is this one: http://www.virtuousrom.com/p/sense.html
for sense 3+ roms you have to change hboot (i already posted a link for a really easy guide)
...follow this guide and then put a sense rom of your choice on sdcard and flash it through recovery
but first hope that you can boot into cm7....

sir you are very nice my phone is now running well on this firmware. sir the link that you provided to me doesnt have anything about how to install sense roms or channge the hboot. please can you give any link to help me install a custom sense rom?thanks alot

http://www.virtuousrom.com/2011/06/t-mobile-g2-users-migrating-to-desirez.html
and then flash a sense 3.5 rom (pls don´t call me sir)

thanks a lot so after
After the second reboot, the device will be sitting on the “HTC” screen doing nothing. This is normal, do not panic. It is because you have no ROM installed anymore.
after getting into recovery after all above steps, i can select custom sense zip file from sdcard and install>

[Q] doubts :flashing back a stock rom (eclair)

I recently gained root over my wildfire using revolutionary ... now while this process I did a stupid thing that I didn't backup by stock rom... now I am running Cm7.0.3 stable (has some glitches) & I want to go back to stock Rom but I have some doubts
Suppose if I flash a ruu.exe of stock eclair will I loose my root & s-off ?
Simply put will my phone be deprived from flashing further Roms ?
*please ignore any spell errors...was typing from phone.
Thank u!!
Some RUU's have a new HBoot and some don't, look for a safe RUU without HBoot and you will keep s.off and Root.
i want to get s on again for that i need to flash ruu but if i flash a RUU with hboot flashing goes perfect or not ??
anything like brick or something like that is not gonna happen na??
Just choose the right RUU and everything will be alright.
will this work...?
will the below work?
RUU_Buzz_hTC_Asia_India_1.25.720.1_Radio_13.45.55. 24_3.35.15.31_release_142213_signed.exe
Please Rep...
Flashing the RUU will remove your root and Custom Recovery (Clockworkmod), but it will NOT touch your modified S-OFF HBOOT. Thus, it will remain at 6.01.1022 even after flashing an RUU.
pls confirm...
So it means that if I flash this ruu I will have to root my phone once again b4 flash a custom rom?
If that's right please suggest me (give me a link to download) a stock eclair rom which will retain my root, s-off & hboot so that I don't have to root once again to flash a new custom rom.
please please Rep...
Thank u!
The stock Eclair ROM's links have died unfortunately (And I dont have a backup of that myself)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=807983
But you can get a Stock Froyo ROM which will retain root here (Download the Rooted Version):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=877977
just confirming for the last time...
So if if I flash this rooted froyo ruu I will retain root + s-off & hboot right?
pls rep
Thank u very much
Yes, you will retain everything.
thank u
Thank u very much mate!
problem with flashing rooted Froyo Rom
After I downloaded the rom & tried to flash it with Rom manager it started & after the progress bar reached about 25% ...phone restarted & after that it shows the htc boot animation (quietly brilliant) & later within 15-20 sec it again shows the same boot animation & this process keeps on repeating (but the phone doesn't restarts)....what should I do ?
I'm stuck...buddy pls help
waiting 4 ur reply....help...help
Thanks..
Power off your phone, then restart in bootloader / HBoot mode (Press Vol Down + Power Simultaneously), then browse to Recovery and select it to enter Recovery mode. Here, perform a data wipe / factory reset, then flash this file:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=662193&d=1311319218
This will give you temporary Clockworkmod 2.5 (Same as in ROM Manager), then try flashing that Stock ROM again
how do I flash this update.zip ?
how do I flash this update.zip ?
pls rep
thanks
Same way you flash a ROM, In Clockworkmod Select Install Zip from SDCard then select that zip file.
No Need for that...
Hey man u saved my ass...
as soon as I went to recovery...phone restated automatically into clockwork mod... I did what you said (wiped data/factory reset)...& the phone restarted with Froyo...like magic...
I was going to be hung till death by my mom & dad if anything wud hv gone wrong...thanks to you
A Million Thanks...
so....
so now still i can use the Clockworkmod recovery to flash custom roms in future right ?
---axxo----
Yes, you can. What you have at the moment is a Stock Froyo ROM, but with all root, Clockworkmod, and S-OFF intact, so you can switch ROM's, kernels etc anytime you wish to.
problem with "download more htc widgets"...

[TUTORIAL][STEP-BY-STEP][DEV]How To install a custom ROM on HTC Wildfire S

Hey, guys. I'm a Xperia arc S developer, but I also own a HTC Wildfire S and I found out a very easy and fast way to flash CWM, kernel and ROM on our Marvel devices. So, here is the guide step-by-step:
Unlock the bootloader using this site ------------->HTC Dev
Download any custom kernel you want.
Download recovery -----> CWM for WFS
Download any ROM you want and place it on SD card.
Open Windows Terminal Emulator in directory where you have fastboot files (you got them during unlocking bootloader)
Put your phone in fastboot mode by (when device is off) holding power button and volume down, than confirming "fastboot" option by pushing power button.
Connect your phone to PC via USB.
In opened Terminal Emulator on PC type
Code:
fastboot devices
If Terminal shows you one device available you can proceed to next step.
In Terminal type
Code:
fastboot flash recovery RECOVERYNAME.img
In Terminal type
Code:
fastboot flash boot KERNELNAME.img
Unplug the USB cable from phone and confirm "bootloader" option by pushing power button.
Highlight "recovery" using volume buttons and confirm power button.
You'll see now CWM recovery. Optionally, go to "backup and restore" and make a backup - there's always 1% chance somothing goes wrong.
Select "wipe user data/factory reset".
Go to "install zip from sd card".
Then - "choose zip from sd card" and choose .zip with your ROM.
Confirm installation and wait.
Select "reboot system now".
Enjoy custom ROM!
I hope it makes you flashing custom ROMs on HTC Wildfire S even a little bit clearer.
Click "thanks"! :good:

Hi,
I'm new to android but have flashed lots of Windows Mobile type devices in my time.
I have unlocked the WFS bootloader sucessfully. I put the device into fastboot mode, connect to USB and open the CMD window. I type in the command and successfully write the recovery file (in about 3 seconds?). Now this is where progress halts for me:
If I got into bootloader, and then recovery, the phone vibrates once and displays the white screen with the HTC logo. And there it remains! I left it for quite a while (say 20-30 mins) just in case it was doing something that took time but alas, no.
I can remove the battery and reboot into bootloader, OR get back into "normal use" with a normal restart, so the device isn't bricked. I just can't seem to get into recovery. I've followed this and another tutorial from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1878031 both saying pretty much the same thing.
Have I missed an obvious step please? Everything looks like it's executed correctly, but I seem a little stuck. Do I need a new Kernel to get into recovery? That makes no sense to me, but I repeat: I'm new to Android!
This is a WFS on UK TESCO network, 2.3.5 ROM installed from the factory, HTC sense.

then i read many posts of HTC wildfire s and read about S-off And S-on , tried to turn it off but unsuccessfull.
i also tried to root it but recovery does not work so nothing happens.
then i restored stock recovery using the same tool and i have attached video what happens to it.

Why do you have to download a kernel? It's just more difficult.. Just flash the ROM and there you have a kernel and with CM you can overclock your phone easily... And if you dont have CM, download ROM Toolbox from Play Store and there you can overclock your phone too
Btw, nice and easy tutorial

I tried to install custom rom as described:
1. I unlocked bootloader
2. I not sure if I did any kernel
3. I flashed the CWM recovery of "recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.8-marvel.img"
4. I flashed the ROM of "marvel-cm-9.0.0-rc0-unofficial_rom-alpha2-signed.zip" (this is the only rom that I can successfully flashed from your list)
The ROM is very smooth but I was facing WIFI HOTSPOT tethering problem, and the internal storage is very limited, therefore I tried to flash back to the original stock ROM RUU. That's how I ended up with the RELOCK bootloader and I couldn't get it back to UNLOCK. I tried "fastboot oem unlock" but failed.
My questions:
Is there any ROM that is compatible with the CWM recovery which have no problem with WIFI and WIFI HOTSPOT? (limited internal memory is not really a major concern to me, it is just could be superb if I can have more apps with it)
If I wanna flash back to the original stock ROM, what could I do at this stage?
Please help me, your advice would be very much grateful to me. TQ

You can install this ROM : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2256576
It is the original ROM, a little bit customized. While installing you'll have a program which will ask you which options you want for your ROM, for example which theme, etc. You can choose to keep the original look and apps.
If you want more internal memory, make a second partition (format ext4) on your SD card. Search the web for a tutorial. Then in the installer select int2ext when prompted. And you're done

Question, nothing wrong with your guide. If we have s-on why are we booting the kernel? Recovery can't flash the kernel so wouldn't we have to flash it not boot from it?
Thanks

What recovery do u have?
Have u tried the PB99IMG method of changing hboots? Basicaly download the hboot from alpharev (PB99IMG) Rename it to just PB99IMG.zip, put it on ur sdcard... Put the JB rom there too.. and then boot into bootloader (volume down + power) and bootloader will ask to update bootloader, volume up for yes.. it will then ask u to reboot? Volume down for no.. then boot into recovery,(if 4ext) format all partitions except sdcard then reboot recovery and u can then install the rom.
Click the adb & fastboot guide in my sig for a great guide coz fastboot is the best way to do things

I'm using CWM at the moment, haven't changed or updated it for months since I last installed Marange ICS Miui pretty much when it first came out.
I have done the fastboot method before, but I kinda like the PB99IMG way, sounds a lot cleaner. Many thanks for the help.
PS: for anyone else having the same problem, it worked!

glad it worked. i use that method too coz my laptop is gay and connects to my phone when it wants too lol. click 4ext recovery in my sig and download the updater app then flash 4ext recovery from within the app, its well worth it, has way more features and is more reliable than CWM..

[ROOT] HTC Desire stuck on Bootscreen after evo³

Hi,
I need some help solving my root problem with my European HTC Desire. I recently got the device itself from a friend. Since both noobs with Android and rooting/flashing, neither him nor me know if it is a branded phone or not. I assume, it's not branded since I couldn't see any brand on the device or in the menu so far. Also, it's still Froyo (Android 2.2) and looks pretty standard.
Same hard facts:

Software-Nummer: 2.10.161.2
Browser-Version WebKit 3.1
My aim is to get a CUSTOM ROM (preferably mild wild's cm7 JG) on the device. For rooting, I would like to use the unrevoked³ tool, since I didn't find a step-by-step instruction for revolutionary (besides, I don't like to give away my serial number...not trying being paranoid, but, you know..)
For the unrevoked method, I followed the Noob Proof Video Tutorial. I am stuck at "Waiting for reboot..." (in this video @ 2:02 min).
My guess, without knowing for certain what the problem was, is that my HTC Desire doesn't reboot correctly even without connecting it with USB-port, etc. It may be kinda broken (I had tons of bootloops, freezes, etc, pp). Maybe I somehow damaged the phone with the first try to root it? I tried anything I read here during the last 3 days (clear storage, soft reset, bootloader reboot, etc).
I need to get the battery out and then wait for good 10 Minutes, to even boot normally. Often, I just come to enter my PIN for the SIM card, when there's a reboot. Often it reboots even right after the second boot screen ("quietly brilliant").
MAybe it's a heated processor? idk, but even really long pauses wouldn't make it reboot correctly.
I disconnected the USB cable and took the battery out, then after 10 minutes, I put them back in and obviously evo³ continued the process from there ("system to settle...might take a minute" or sth similar). However, my device just rebooted there again and then I had the error code "Communications with phone unexpectedly interrupted. Try again."
This is logical, since it reboots when it wants but never when it's supposed to ****ty phoen ^^ (excuse my language)
Any ideas?
If your phone can boot normally, without any reboots, use revolutionary to s-off and install a custom recovery.

Apparantly my phone doesn't boot normally
Thx though
Edit: wow, now it's even stuck during the second bootscreen at "quie..." of "quietly brilliant"
Best would be to flash the 2.3 RUU (sig, put in on sd-card and boot in bootloader), and use revolutionary. You will lose all your data, but at least the phone will boot, and you will root it.
Well, except if unrevoked did install a custom recovery. Check that too.

No, unrevoked didn't make a custom recovery...the boot menu looks all the same.
However, things are really messed up now. I put the 2.3 RUU image on my SD-Card and booted it via bootloader. An update process began. After completion, the phone rebootet several times just up to the HTC-logo, vibrated about 20 times (maybe the 7-times stuff a couple of times in a row).
Nothing works now. I couldn't even boot anything now.
Also, my bootloader shows HBOOT 1.02.001 now.
Radio is 5.17.05.23
Need help!
Edit: after point 9 in the picture, the device reboots but doesn't boto further than the HTC Logo. THen it vibrates 7 times until it reboots again, then it vibrates 7 times until it reboots again...and so on, and so on...all in a loop.
Edit 2: after having the phone rested on my table over night, this morning I put the battery back in and it worked...a bit. It booted correctly and I configured the settings (debugging-mode, etc). However, trying to do unrevoked again, the device stuck at rebooting again.
Still need help, plz
Edit 3: so desperate --> plz help
You don't run unrevoked on it. If it's still in a bootloop, then flash the ruu again, then use Revolutionary to s-off. DO NOT USE OR DO ANYTHING ELSE.
1. Flash the RUU again.
2. Quick configure.
3. Use revolutionary.io.
4. Install a custom rom.

Okay, and where do I get the beta key from? I mean, I am supposed to put my S/N somewhere, but I don't know where.
Sorry, but I couldn't find any instruction on that.
Edit: my bad, I had javascript disabled
Tried it again: SUCCESS!!!
How do I get a Custom ROM on the device now? Can I continue at STEP FIVE - Partitioning Your Sd Card With Gparted in this Noob Proof Video Tutorial or does revolutionary already has some of those further steps included (like preparing SD-card, etc)?
Edit 2:
Okay, revolutionary doesn't root, it just makes S-OFF. I found this perfect step-to-step guide which is in German, though. Sorry for that...

So it worked. You're welcome.
To root, you either install a custom rom from recovery, or you stay stock, and flash SuperSU from recovery.

Scroll down and download the CWM flashable zip.

Well, it worked so far...I rooted und S-OFFed it, I think I even updated the radio to 32.54.00.32U_5.14.05.17 via the app "ROM Manager".
Now I try to partition the SD card, since doing that via ROM Manager from within the phone didn't work, BECAUSE MY PHOEN STILL DOESN'T BOOT CORRECTLY :/
(Sorry, not shouting at you...just let stuff out) ^^
Okay, I'm stuck with partitioning. Currently my Bootloader-Menu shows me that I have HBOOT 6.93-1002. Should I go to http://alpharev.nl/ and rename that
PB99IMG_cm7r2.zip to PB99IMG.zip and boot the device? What is this bravo_alphaspl-cm7r2.img?
I'm so sorry, but I think I messed everything up. Arrrgh
cm7r2 hboot is a different phone memory layout. Stock hboot has 250 mb system, cm7r2 has less system alocated memory, for smaller roms, and gives you more data space.
If you want to patition your sd-card, install 4ext recovery.

Yes, I want to do that (even with 4ext recovery). My questions herefor is, if
1) this is within the correct sequence (since I still doesn't have the mildwild cm7 custom ROM installed yet)
2) how I do it with 4ext? do I need to rename the files given at http://alpharev.nl/ ?
3) when I successfully partitioned the SD-card, how do I continue? There are 2 Parts of the mildwild cm7 custom rom...
Thx in advance
Edit: I did anything as suggested in the instructions (put it on SD-card, update yes, reboot no). Then I chose "Recovery" but nothing happens. THe phone is just stuck on the HTC-logo bootscreen :/
Edit 2: okay I followed abaaabbbs instructions in another thread/your sig and installed fastboot via adb. (See attch.)
Now I need to wait a while with battery removed since my phone doens't boot at all. I can only enter bootloader menu etc, but not regular boot to android on phone itself. always stuck with HTC-logo and/or vibrating 7 times , then rebooting to htc-logo again... :/

I am still stuck with 4ext (see my screenshot in my last post).
I can't tell if it worked. It seemed to work, but I can't boot any further than into the bootloader-menu :/
Shouldn't formatting take a while? It jsut took 1s via adb
MAybe I installed the wrong radio beforehand? I am so lost ...
Shouldn't my HBOOT say CM7r2 instead of 6.93.1002 ?
I can't enter recovery at all...
It booted...once. To the regular android menu...still it doesn't boot to recovery at all...should I re-install recovery? like CWM?
Yeah try and reinstall cwm, wat rom r u trying?

Sorry, I tried to answer that directly but as a new user I wasn't allowed to edit my prompt response for 5 minutes....
Oops, again
As above, I want to install mildwild cm7. I would prefer to isntall 4ext instead of CWM again....
I'm on mildwild 7 great rom yes I would recommend 4ext recovery, have u downloaded all parts of mildwild an put them on the root of ur SD card

Shouldn't I change HBOOT to cm7r2 first and make the partitions with 4ext first?
Or do I do it all in one step?
Edit: in one of the seldom times the phone actually booted to regular android, I installed the 4ext recovery again - this time via astro data manager (installed the 4ext-recovery-APK from SD-card). Well, when I enter the bootloader and chose "RECOVERY", it still is stuck at the HTC-Logo...

[Q] General Assistance on HTC Desire A8181

I just got an HTC Desire A8181, and it is my very first time using an Android Device. The thing is that I already know that you can do a lot of things with Android devices (thats why I swapped from iOS to Android). Now here is my point, I basically need to know:
Basics about software and OS customizing for Android.
Basic things to know before do anything to my phone.
Tutorials for root the device (HTC Desire A8181)
Want to know if it is possible to make the phone work faster in terms of Manage the Processor and Ram Usage, how to do it, and understand the process.
And any other information that could be useful in order to make my phone work a lot better (take into consideration that I'm new with the OS and the phone, so there are a lot of things that I dont know about this theme.)
I also want to know if it is possible to install the latest Android Version on my HTC Desire and make it work fast.
Thanks in advance for your help!!!
The desire comes with sense 2.3 gingerbread. Sense is HTC's skin that they overlay ontop of the android operating system. Although it may look nice (doesnt really look that good to me), it is heavy and causes decreases in performance. When you s-off your device, and install a custom recovery you will be able to flash an aosp based custom rom. Aosp = android open source project, and basically means stock pure android...nothing running on top. As you can probably predict, this will result in faster speeds, less ram usage, and better battery. I think that answers the first few questions.
Next Ill move on to how to root it (make your phone good). I honestly think the term "root" is deceiving to most new users. I see people asking "how do i root my phone", but i think what they really want is to install a custom recovery and flash a custom rom. Being rooted on stock rom is pointless to me. Custom roms are where the good stuff is at.
Post your bootloader details here and ill walk you through the process. To get these details turn the phone off, then hold power + volume down until the phone boots into the bootloader. It should look similar to this. Post all of the first couple of lines at the top. The whole process summarized is this: s-off, install custom recovery, flash custom rom
There are also some other things that i would recommend doing so that you can have extra space for apps (you probably noticed you barely have any space at the moment), but ill get to that later when i give you more instructions.
Thanks for response so fast!

Nope, just your bootloader details for now.
Please tell me that I did not ****ed my phone
Ok so here is my problem now on, I tried to flash the CyanogenMod, but I dont know if i ****ed my phone or im just missing something...
Here is what I did:
1- I followed the instructions on another thread about the HTC_Unlock_Bootloader_Tool in order to unlock the bootloader.
2- I copied the CM-7.2.0.1-bravo.zip file into the sd card manually and also by using the "adb push" command.
But now my phone turns on, but every time that I try to access the Recovery option from the Fastboot menu just gives me an icon of the phone with a red advertise sign and then I press "Volume Up + Power" and got access to some sort of recovery options... But cannot go further than that... What can I do? Please tell me that I did not ****ed my phone?
When u unlock the bootloader u must then flash recovery via fastboot commands. In my sig ul see 4ext recovery as PB99IMG, download and extract the recovery.img and flash via fastboot. U can find a fastboot guide in bortaks troubleshooting guide (in my sig also)
Thanks for your response.

Ok so here is my new actual situation, cause I went to sleep at 3.00am just to keep working with the phone...
After check within some forums and stuff I realized that there was an app called ROM Manager that can flash the Recovery and also the ROM (Cyanogenmod is the one I want to install), I started researching for another way to do it since every single time that I tried to start in FastBoot and use the recovery option in order to flash anything I just got a black screen with an icon that seems to be the same phone with a red alert sign on its corner (icon which i really did not like at all!!!), so I started checking for another way to work with this and found ROM Manager, but when the app was installed and I tried to flash the ClockworkMod Recovery but ROM Manager was giving an error related with permissions, I thought that my HTC Desire was already Rooted since it said "*** Unlocked ***" on the Fastboot menu (My fault!) but I realized that it is not Rooted after download the Root Checker app from the Store... So basically here is the case resumed: Fastboot "Unlocked" (Via easy unlocker tool), ROM Manager App (Installed but no permissions to Flash the ClockworkMod Recovery nor CyanogenMod ROM), Root Checker App (Installed and seems that my phone is not rooted)... How do I need to proceed now on???
Thanks in advance for all your help! I never thought that Android were this complicated, but I like it ****ing so much!!! So I think that it is most likely a beginner issue

Well, to root it, you need to flash a Superuser zip from recovery. To flash it, you need a custom recovery. To get a custom recovery, you do what @jmcclue said 2 posts above.

Hahahahaha yeah sorry about that but I'm working so it is difficult to be on the phone talking about Hard Drives and troubleshoot them, while trying to figure out whats going on with my phone hahahahaha
So Basically and if I'm not mistaken (hopefully not, let me know if I am) I need to do the following:
-Download and Flash the 4eXT Recovery as PB99IMG from the previous response: After download the file can I go to CMD and use "adb reboot bootloader" then "adb fastboot flash recovery PB99IMG.zip" (that must flash the recovery right?)
-Then I need to Flash the Superuser from a Zip file: By accessing the new Recovery Interface installed previously, wipe chache / install from sd card / install from zip (that must root my device right?)
-After that I should be able to turn on my phone as normal and use the ROM Manager in order to Flash the CyanogenMod 7.2 right?
Sorry that I bother all of you in this way with so many question and ****, but I really want not only to flash my drive but also to learn about the process and what I'm doing to my phone... Thanks for everything.

You don't need to go to recovery for the PB99IMG method. Only bootloader.

Yes thats what you should do. If that doesnt work you would try flashing the recovery via fastboot.
When you go into recovery right now and see the red warning thing, that is normal. It is the stock recovery, which makes sense because you havent installed a custom recovery yet. Once 4ext is installed you will no longer see that screen.

Do this:

Then extract the .img file from the PB99IMG zip, and put it on your C drive, do the path would be C://recovery.img.

Unlocked does not mean s-off. You are Unlocked, but S-on. Just flash the recovery through fastboot, like jmcclue originally said.

Sello I'm glad to let you know that finally I got my phone.cpletely flashed with the CM7 and this works just great... the only thing that I were not able to do is to partition my 4Gb SD card to assign 1Gb as phone extension and the rest as external storage...
Can you help me with this last thing, I just used a previous post...
With the 4ext recovery y created a first partition of 1024Mb as the ext of the system but my phone does not sees it, it keeps saying that only have 140Mb total as internal
