Hey guys is there a way I can have a different wallpaper for the lockscreen than that of the homescreen? I know there was an option for this on the GSII under settings/ display, but I can't seem to find a solution for the GNex. Thanks in advance

That feature is not available on stock Android.

Only thing I can think of is WidgetLocker
an app called multi-picture live wallpaper can do this for you:
https://market.android.com/details?id=org.tamanegi.wallpaper.multipicture
it allows you to have a different wallpaper for various home screens and also lets you choose one for the lockscreen. I personally use the same wallpaper for each homescreen, so this app is just giving me a custom lock wallpaper.
Might be preferable over widgetlocker if you don't want to add any widgets to your lockscreen and prefer a stock feel.

I guess there is no way to stop the wallpaper scrolling with the stock launcher?
Nope, not with stock launcher anyway...
I've always wanted more launcher options like third party ones have.
i think wp clock has this setting

As the title reads. Is there a way to have a lockscreen wallpaper different than the home wallpaper?
Use WidgetLocker
widgetlocker is too buggy and laggy for me...
I bought and used LockBot Pro for this very reason. love it. haven't installed on my Galaxy Nexus yet though.

the problem with WidgetLocker and Lockbot is that you will have a double lockscreen which sucks. You slide to unlock then you unlock again by using either the PIN or password or pattern for the actual phone lock screen which is annoying. I wish they could just enable it where just the app will handle lock and unlock instead of double.
Multipicture Live Wallpaper.
While it is mainly designed to set a different for each screen you can also set a different wallpaper for your lockscreen.
Good luck

Yes, at home screen press the menu key, select wallpaper, choose 'lock screen'.

I believe you still need a 3rd party app, like go locker, for lwp on lock screens. I know go has some, but I'm sure others do too. The downside is you're stuck with what they offer to work with their lockscreens, rather than being able to use any lwp.

I would love to help you, but help yourself first: ask a better question

Not an expert but,
It must be a conflict between the animations of the live wallpaper and the ripple effect.
I was wondering if anyone has found a way to set a live wallpaper as a lock screen. I know you can use widget locker and set the wallpaper on your background and it will show up on the lock screen as well, not looking for that. Any help would be awesome thanks.

On a TWiz ROM, go into Display settings->wallpaper, select "desktop and lockscreen". Select "live wallpapers"....Profit.
I feel like a half tard asking this but how so you change the lock screen wallpaper only. On my note 2 you can leave the home screen and the lock screen different

Take a look at the app Widget locker. Made by the same company that makes Nova Launcher. You have a ton of settings. Widgets, apps, custom sliders, themes, wallpapers, and just about anything you could want to help you customize your lockscreen.

That is a touchwiz feature and not available in stock android. However there are custom roms that have the feature available.
