I'm running Swiftkey X on my Desire with CM7. I cannot get it to stay as the default keyboard - I had the same issue with Oxygen. Any tips on getting it to stay as the default keyboard?

Any chance you have Swiftkey X installed to your SD card? I had this problem at first, then realized that whenever my SD card was unmounted, the keyboard would switch back to the original one.
I did. I've moved it back to the phone, so we'll see if that helps. Thanks for the suggestion.

In settings/keyboard make sure SwiftKey is ticked. You might also need to run the app again from app list to config it correctly.

No problem!
you could also try before flashing cm put swiftkeyx.apk into \system\app which would install it on the system partition, then using titanium backup market doctor to link it back to your gmail so you could update it etc.... It's worth a shot I guess.
Same problem here
Hey so did you get swiftkey to maintain default?

try using root explorer.apk or android commander (PC application) to install swiftkey X on the system partition, and removing Latin IME.apk, should do it I guess.

Strange isn't it. Mine did that yesterday too, even though I had previously deleted Market-updater.apk from /system/app
The latest version of new Market is a lot better though, especially with different DNS settings.

I thought Swype came with the wildfire s. To enable it again, go to settings/language and keyboard/Swype/select input method. From there u can get back into Swype.
Sent from my Desire HD using xda premium
Swype doesn't come with the WFS. You have to go to their official page and order the beta. It's free, too. And you don't have to do any replacing of any sort, just install the keyboard and go to settings/lang. and keybrd/ and change the input method to Swype (goes for any other custom keyboard as well).
It will crash as system app. Leave it in /data/app

Seriously? On a WFS? Must be a carrier thing... I used Swype for a while, but I had to actually install it
Anywho, it started to crash, or not work at all at a certain point, so I uninstalled it.
Swype
I'm on a stock 2.3.5 Europe ROM and it is not there from what I can see. Just double checked by holding down the google search box for the input method prompt and nothing happens. I tried installing a Swype APK but starts to crash as soon as I enable it. I would't mind having it though, i got used to it...
You have to delete the stock swype and sign up for there beta

Did it come preinstalled on your Wildfire S or the phone you obviously seem to be texting from which would be a Desire HD?
Although I did quite some research myself I haven't found a way to integrate swype in the wildfire s stock rom yet...

anyone tried S Voice with the Desire yet?
it installs on ICS so I think it might work
original: http://minus.com/llX3TROSRO4NH
fixed to work on unauthorized devices: http://minus.com/lCWshD37drA9R
Tested it now. Might be best skipping the intro and it fc when trying to change the wake command. Also double tap home didn't work for me either.
Clear data if you have fc on start up. But it does work. Can google search and text etc.

works, but very slowly on AOKP build 35. I will try it later on Sandvolds beta 8.1
It's slow at responding for all machines I think

Works rather fast for me. It fc when I do stuff like 1+1 or something like that. And its slow in opening apps. Sandvold ICS.

i've used the new one for checking the weather for location, sending text and calling - all seems to work well.
I install S-Voice from the apk from frandroid.com
And it works, open apk, understand french language...
I hope this apk will mature quickly
on HTC desire the installaton crash but, after a reboot, it works
nice one!
I do not have a crash during installation.
I'm on ics 4.0.4 bravo cyanogen mod 9 RC 3.4.U1.
And it works.
Does someone test http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1673354 on HTC Desire ?
Tried the first APK, but it wasn't for me.
Also it's weird to say 'Hi Galaxy' to desire.
I suggest to wait for a year or so, so that developers can stabilize the system
work
The fix S voice apk and Spanish language works well for me.
I have 2 days with him and I am testing it

Hello,
I am new to the forums and sorry if this isn't posted in the correct place. The problem I am having is that after rooting including a factory reset is that some album art are not showing up on the screen. Has this happened to anyone else? Is there a way to fix this?

Do you mean the stock ROM?
Even so after fixing permissions, its not working.

I am not urgent but what does fix permissions do? And how could it solve my problem which it didn't. Anyone else experiencing the same problem?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
yeah it only work when you wipe and reinstall the rom!
but if you don't want to wipe your data you cango to each album and play it and press back and do it with others the albumart will work correctly now!
Delete the files from your sd card and then copy them back over from the original source
Sent from my HTC One X using xda app-developers app
Still not working, this might change everything, but somehow some album art work is showing, some aren't. They had always appeared before my root and wipe.

Hy guys
i've just rooted my one x with jdroid rom and now i can't find my sd card on my phone. it's show's that i have only 2GB on phone space. the rest of my 24 or 25 gb is nowhere...help ?
I am glad I am not the only one but I found a way out with an album art downloader app. Search it up in the play store. Revert to stock sense ROM and check if it fixes your problem. It could be the ROM that is causing it.

Sense 5 crashes while trying to uninstall any app through the launcher itself.
Uninstalling through application manager works, but once you go into the launcher and drag application to the uninstall button, it doesn't.
Can anyone confirm that?

I've checked it again, and it seems too occur only when the system language is Hebrew.
Just to let you know, Hebrew is not officially supported by HTC, as it is by Google.
Still, I hope they will fix it.
