Just wonder why they put the useless smiley button on cs keyboard on messaging.
Can someone mod the original ics keyboard to have 'enter' while on stock messaging app ?
Yes...I have noticed the same issue. Try Swype...it work perfect on onecosmics 4.0.3 RC1/RC2
on that note...anyone got the keyboard WITH the 'smiley' instead of enter?
i have it but since i dont use sms that much it doesnt bother me, although it shouldnt be that way
Bump?? i have this same request
to be honest i do not see a point into puting enter at sms
when you want to do paragraphs ? =p
i would like it to be released too ! I'm always using it =/

Looks like the ICS keyboard is ready for downloading and installing.
Just install like a normal apk. Then go to settings < language and keyboard < and check ice cream sandwich keyboard. Then long press any text field and press input method and press on ice cream sandwich keyboard.

::: looks up and checks the name of the forum :::: How does the ACE relate to the E4GT?
I installed it and it seems to be working fine. Although I'm not a fan of it (I wasnt a fan of the GB KB either though which everyone loves)

Lol, he/she was probably overly excited about the ICS keyboard that he/she didn't care what forum he/she was getting into.
So far I'm liking it, I never used the gingerbread keyboard though. I just stuck to the froyo keyboard.
I actually really like it on my Nexus. Its the first stock keyboard I didn't immediately ditch. I think the spell correct and word prediction works really well. Still using it on that phone. Gonna check it out. Thanks

I don't think it was working properly for me. No word predictions or voice search button would appear. Besides i prefer the Swype keyboard. Just got to use to it that it's hard for me to change i guess

smooth, just like the GB without the force closes. thanks for this. I would like to see it themed darker like the GB kb but Im happy with it.
Loving this thus far.
Probably the best android keyboard I've used.
actually getting the same FC as the Gb keyboard. if you type to fast it seems it causes it to force close.
I wonder if this is just a themed GB kb.....

I used to get the fc with the gingerbread keyboard and I wasn't themed.
Probably some Samsung app causing the issue.
Just had my first fcs with the ics keyboard as I'm typing this.
Edit: try removing the Samsung keyboard.
"AxT9IME.apk" not having the issue after i removed it

I didnt have haptic at first either. It's because it's set to 0ms by default in the advanced settings. go in there and change it to something higher and it will work(I have mine at 35ms which is the default for thumb keyboard)
Has anyone noticed it wont capitalize i to "I" automatically? it will if it's at the start of the sentence obviously but in the middle it's leaving it lower case for me.
Dont know if the title made any sense whatsoever but heres a screenshot of what I want....or something close.
The app I am using for the keyboard has this option but I like the ICS keyboard better and would like to keep that one for typing.

there's an app for that... go to the play store and search for an app called perfect keyboard. don't remember if it costs anything but not only can you choose the 123 board as an option, you can also theme the keyboard and resize it to match your current theme. try it out!
Hey auto thanks for the reply but the screenshot that I posted foes the same thing. But I actually was trying to stay away from using a third party keyboard. Wanted yo mow if a dev could implement the number pad within the stock ics keyboard. But thanks for the suggestion though. I will try our perfect if all else fails. I used to use better keyboard with the old android but ics keyboard rocks!

I knew about that... As he said, I don't want third party apps. I am looking for something REALLY simple. A numeric keypad, just like the stock one when you open something that request it (when you're setting the time on Alarm app). Maybe a tweak to make it user openable?

She can install any emoji plugin available in the play store to be able to see the emojis too on her phone. Can't confirm yet if installing the keyboard alone does the trick on yours but do have any such app installed on your phone?

For dial and contact, the apk's or this theme give you transparent one.

Hello,
I am wondering if someone with the skills to do do, could cook up a mod to include emoji/ emoticons into the messeges app? It's that one MIUI feature I've always missed. It's also really annoying when iPhone people send emojis and they turn out like this: ¤⊙℃.
If anything has any interest in seeing something like this worked on, like this post! Maybe someone will get inspired.
Thanks

Textra is such a nice and lightweight app, with individual notification settings, emoji and reply from notification panel (it opens up a small popup rather than the whole app). It's running SMOOTH on my One.

Is it possible to have emojis on our stock keyboard? Can any one give it a try?
There are emoticons on the stock keyboard. They can be found by pressingthe 'SYM' buttonin the lower left of the keyboard (if notthere which it should be by default then check settings) after pressingthe SYM buttonpress the page icon to the 2/2 page and they should be along the bottom row.
If this what i am talking is wrong(as i havent practically did this)..then 3rd party keyboards are only way!
Hope i helped
